This place is a scam. The owner is a local scamming politician who will lie to your face. I wish I knew what I was getting into before buying a vehicle here. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. They promise you a 6-month bumper to bumper warranty and 1 year engine warranty with every vehicle sold. I purchased a car here several months back and have taken it back for "warranty work" multiple times for the same issues (vibration at highway speeds, check engine light on, leaking fluids, etc.) , only two of which (missing floor mat hook and stereo illumination) simple repairs...were fixed. All they seem to do is postpone the extensive repairs and reset your engine light until your warranty is expired and its no longer their problem. Ive scheduled appointments only to show up and be sent away on multiple occasions. This purchase has become such a time consuming headache its unbelievable...please be warned...take your business elsewhere! If I could do this over again I would take my money and buy a car from a private owner with paperwork to prove the typical Subaru maintenance was done (timing belt, water pump, head and valve cover gaskets) rather than risk buying a piece of junk from this place. I will likely be filing a complaint with the DMV and local news station if the issues are not addressed this final time because this is the last straw.

my name is jason and i just bought a 2009 subaru forester from this guy and for the reason of the warrantee.. seems like a good deal, he treated me good.. HE was always hard to get ahold of but a small place keep in mind NOTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY.... well after 5 1/2 months a engine light came on... Time to see what this guys warrantee is all about right... Well 3 days of waiting i finally got sick of waiting called him up and told him i need my car....he finally got back to me... when i got the car home the light was back on... WHEN I HAD PICKED IT UP MY ELECTRIC MIRROR WAS FLASHING REALIZING THEY UNHOOKED THE POWER FOR REASON I WAS CURIUS..??? THEY JUST DISCONECTED THE BATTERY TO RESET THE COMPUTER,,, WHEN looked inside... he put garbage old worn out wires on my car ,so i thought needs to be done right..??? did it myself there is oil in one of the plugs and the reason why the dam light went on......SOME THING SOME ONE WHO DOES WORK ON SUBARUS SHOULD HAVE SEEN.... so now i have to pay some one to replace the head gasket/or the rubber plug in the spark plug well, the very same thing they rant and rave they replace.... bull i say... buyer beware,, not worth the time to get to the place..

this man ripped off my dying mother,. he sold her Subaru Forester 2003. that found out was in a flood. thats why every things was rusted- even under the seats. he hires junkies drug addicts.( doesnt matter really) he never made good on the warranty. that he sold my mother. after she died I brought car back and he said that warranty was only good for her- he never even valued warranty for her. 5 year warranty in writing!!! she brought the car in because the sun roof was leaking,- what they do? they sealed it shut with silicone calk, NO MORE SUN ROOF NOW A MOON ROOF-also the rear wheel bearings continued to go bad every 1000 miles costing me $400 each time, ( i payed this 2 x times)he never once fixed any thing with out pAY- = he is just ( the idiot con artist owner) do not trust or buy from him. he buys garbage , flooded out Hurricane cars from the auctions in east granby south windsor,, con artist, beware,. rips off dieing 44 year old cancer victims.; you dis honored my mother!! SHAME ON U-YOU SHOULD GO AND SAY YOUR SORRY TO HER, GRANBY CEMETERY I KNOW YOU KNOW WHO .... MAYBE BRING SOME FLOWERS?

All the work that East Granby Motors has done has been spectacular. Not only are the owner, Mike, and staff knowledgeable and experienced, the work is all done at very reasonable prices. Many other shops have quoted ridiculous amounts at least three times higher than what Mike charges. He is always straightforward and honest, and I trust his judgment. Whatever anyone says, he always follows through and never goes back on his word. I have been very happy going to East Granby Motors, and would most definitely refer their services to anyone needing service done on their Subarus, or even any make of car. These guys really know what theyre doing, and it shows.

The absolute worst buying experience of my life. I cant tell you how many times the owner, Mike Malloy, cheated and lied to me. Furthermore, he never answers his phone or returns calls and my car has been there for weeks at a time. When I initially picked up my car (promised to be in perfect condition), it was over a week late and it was in absolutely terrible condition (not being subjective here- it was REALLY bad). Taken it back many times and still not even close to good condition. Could go on for a long time about how much this place sucks. Dont even consider paying this place a visit.

Our family has bought 3 Subarus off of East Granby Motors over the years; they service them as well. I had to take a minute and thank the whole crew at East Granby Motors for the professional service they have given us. We still have the first car we bought, a 1996 Subaru Legacy that I bought with 106,000 miles in 2003, it now has 262,000 miles and is going strong.More than anything I have to say that the integrity this dealership has consistently delivered is very rare in todays world.

A Private User

One of my least favorite moments of my life. This place is very unprofessional and makes it very difficult to establish loyalty. Never get phone calls to get an update on my car and Mike never knows who I am when I call which is quite frequent. I just want my warranty to be up so I can go somewhere else. I'm very disappointed in this place considering it seemed so nice prior to purchasing my car. So if you plan on buying one from this place ... don't.

East Granby Motors reminds me of a garage of the past where you deal directly with the owner, you can talk to the mechanics and youre not paying for the overhead of a slick dealership with mechanics that are clueless. I do nearly all the work on my 12 Forester but sometimes will take it to East Granby Motors because I may not have the time to do a repair and every time has been a really good experience. Would highly recommend if you have a Subaru.

Just wanted to take a few moments to thank Mike and the guys. They do thorough work, and its refreshing not to deal with a sketchy dealership. Mike has been really accomadating. Mechanics are a dime a dozen but its hard to find a place like this. Not to mention the kickass warranty on all the used cars in the lot. Hopefully I wont have to buy a new car anytime soon, but if I did east granby motors would be the first place Id look.
