Regarding my previous review (below), I stand corrected and am back in the happy customer fold.... Apparently MHAs failure to return my call was due to some voicemail glitch (i.e. they never got my call). Shortly after I posted this review (which I guess they read), they contacted me and were eager to correct the situation and regain my loyalty. They ended up giving me a complete refund on my KitchenAid dishwasher, they also offered to refund the original purchase price of the oven extended warranty but at the same time let me keep what remains of the warranty (theyve since stopped selling extended warranties from that particular company due to customer sat issues). Frankly I am surprised at both the generosity of their offer as well as their eagerness to return me to the happy customer ranks. But I certainly am glad of it because I truly was sad at the thought of parting ways with them after all of these years, as Id much rather support a local business vs. BestBuy or some other national chain. A special shout-out to sales manager Mike Stetson who listened to my concerns and who "made it happen". -- We used to buy all of our appliances from Columbine Appliances -- totally satisfied. But then they went out of the retail business and referred all of their customers to Mountain High. We instinctively went with MH given that referral. Ive now bought my last appliance from MH. They might give the impression of a small business focused on customer satisfaction, but thats not been my experience. Less than two years ago they sold us a KitchenAid dishwasher which has turned out to be a total piece of crap. Turns out that if I had Googled that particular model I would have found that out myself easily enough, but again, I trusted MH not to sell junk. Recent calls to MH about my dissatisfaction have gone unreturned. We also bought an electronic stove/oven from MH complete with a multi-year extended warranty. When the ovens controller board broke and it was time to use the extended warranty, it turned out that the extended warranty was from a company with a lousy reputation, which I found out after trying to get service via that warranty. We were without our oven for OVER A MONTH waiting for service via the extended warranty. My advice...? Skip MH and go straight to Appliance Factory Outlet, BestBuy, or similar. Youll save money and the customer service experience wont be all that different, especially after the sale.

The salesperson at Mountain High was helpful and pleasant. I purchased a range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood, and paid for delivery and pickup. All went well, except the hood was backordered. Not a big deal; Mountain High delivered the back-ordered hood in a timely fashion. However, MH neglected to include a necessary part for the hood when it was delivered, and my contractor was in my kitchen ready to install the hood. I called MH and the company told me that there were a "thousand" reasons why the part hadnt been included with the delivery, but that the only reason that counted was that they had made a mistake. The company then told me that i could come pick up the part any time I wanted, making no mention of my having paid for them to deliver the part. Though the company told me it was at fault for not including the part, it shoved the responsibility of correcting the error on to me. I drove to MH and picked up the part. When the contractor installed the hood, it was too low, so I called MH and asked what could be done. The salesperson who had been very helpful while I was purchasing the applicances told me that nothing could be done unless I wanted to wait 6-8 weeks to have a custom part made. She further explained that I was wrong to have told her that my ceiling was 8 feet, when in actual measurement, it is only 710. She said, "An 8-foot ceiling is an 8-foot ceiling. Measurements for the hood come in 8, 10, and 12-foot increments." I presume, then, that all ceilings measure exactly 8, 10, or 12 feet. Unfortunately, during sales, MH makes no mention that people with ceilings that vary in height from exactly 8, 10, or 12 feet cannot possibly expect to have a range hood installed at an acceptable, efficient height. I am unhappy with MH. I do not recommend anyone buying appliances from them. Theyre good at sales, lousy on service.

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know about the EXCEPTIONAL service I received from Mike Schildmeier at Mountain High Appliance in Louisville I called last Wednesday late afternoon, in a desperate situation. I found myself without a cooktop because of a bad situation with another appliance store. I had called several appliance dealers in the city looking for a GE Monogram cooktop and had received the same story. The soonest anyone could install a new cooktop would be the following Friday (which would leave me 1 1/2 weeks without a way to cook). When I explained the situation to Mike, he came back on the line within minutes with a solution. He would go and pick up the cooktop himself (on Friday which I now know is his day off) and he arranged delivery and installation at my house for Monday. He also made me aware of a change in the GE Monogram footprint which meant I needed to modify my cutout slightly. Had he not looked into the cutout, we would have had a cooktop delivery, but it would not have fit . Mike stayed late that Wednesday night to finalize the contract with e-mails back and forth so that he could make it all happen for me. Lastly, the installation was Monday, and the installers were on time and very professional and conscientious. What a top notch company! I will tell you that the price of the cooktop was exactly the same at the three dealers I spoke with that day, the difference by far was the service. Mike earned my business by his willingness to go above and beyond to meet my needs. I will call Mountain High FIRST whenever the need for a new appliance presents itself. I, like you didnt know where to start to find our appliance package. I reached out to Mountain High Appliance because of past business dealings and I am so glad we did. Tanya Olvera was a professional, taking the time to listen to us and learning about our needs and usage so that she could recommend the right appliance for us. She was terrific. I was involved in a remodel/renovation and if you have done anything like this in this market, we were not on our proposed schedule, I know, shocker. They delay was inconvenient for all and Mountain High Appliance was very accommodating with a delayed delivery. Whey they delivered, the crew could not have been more polite and professional. They were very caring of the home and took the time to show us the operation of the appliances. Overall, it was an experience that exceeded out expectations. Their customer service was exceptional. Their pricing was very competitive and their people made all the difference. DON"T HESITATE to give Mountain High Appliance, youll be happy you did.

I had a great experience working with Gabe Baros at Mountain High Appliance. I bought several high-end appliances and needed to provide installation information to our contractor. Gabe was fantastic at answering my questions, providing documentation, and was very accessible (by both voice and email). I had to postpone the deliver of the appliances several times, as a result of construction delays (not MT Highs fault). They were very accommodating and sent a sizable crew to deliver and install my appliances. Overall, Im extremely pleased with the service I received and will certainly be buying from Mountain High again. Update 8/13/15: A word of caution... Mountain High does not service the products that they sell. We ran into a problem with a new appliance that we purchased, I called and emailed, trying to get help. They had a service company call me the next day, to schedule a visit three to four days out. I would have expected better warranty/repair service when purchasing high-end appliances.
