My recent experience in this store was terrible!! My husband and I went into the store to purchase a receiver for our home entertainment center. We walked to the back of the store where those items are located, looked at what they had out on display, found one we were interested in, but we had questions, we waited for someone to stop and help us, and not only did they not stop to help us, they didnt even acknowledge the fact that we were in the store. We walked up to the front of the store and asked to speak with a manager, and we were told that there was not a manager on duty, but they would get someone for us. So yet again we waited!! The young man that went to get a manager came walking back up to the registers with no one to speak to us, so we asked again. Another man came up to us after about a 10 minute wait. He did not offer to help us make a purchase in the store, all he kept doing was apologizing for the lack of service, and told us to take a look around the store and to see how busy they were, and that is why no one was available to help us out. He didnt even ask if he could help us!! So we left and went down the street to the competition, where they were very happy to help us with our purchase. We understood that there was a lot of customers in the store, and thought that maybe that night was a fluke. NOPE!!! NOT at all!! We went back the next night about 90 minutes before closing, not very busy, and guess what? Same thing happened!! No manager on duty, the little bald floor supervisor(manager) was busy talking sports with 2 other co-workers and getting one of them keys, he told us he would be back in a minute, he walked by us 2 different times, didnt acknowledge we were still there, I walked around the store to try and find him and he couldnt be found. This time we were only looking for a CD changer, and it looks like yet again, their competition will win out!! I can understand why the company is going down the toilet!! They hire people without customer service skills, sales experience, and without knowledge of what they are selling. If I was the DM for this store, I would make some serious staff changes, dont be afraid to hire and to pay good quality people for there professionalism and their experience!! Because hiring all these 20 somethings, that are not motivated to work, dont want to do anything besides texting, and looking like they are to busy to help anyone, is going to be the death of your business. We are still looking for a CD changer and we WILL NOT be making any future purchases or trips to this Best Buy!! If I could give negative numbers for the above ratings, I would!!

Pacific Sales. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE! I bought a LG washer and dryer for $3000. The dryer did not work since the minute it arrived. I called Pacific Sales who made me call LG. The LG service line kept me on hold for about 35 minutes. Then the person on the phone had such a strong accent I could not understand a word she was saying. She was very frustrated that I, calling from the USA about a product sold in the USA could not understand her. After an hour on the phone doing diagnostics myself, she said it was a faulty installation. Called back and got a tech over that said nothing was wrong. Still not working. Called again and next tech said the sensor was out. Came back and replaced. Still not working. Called again today and the manager Jimmy told me I was past the 30 days and it was no longer their problem. That I now have to take it up with LG. Along with a $1500 non working dryer, I was also promised a $100 Best Buy gift card. According to them it was emailed and I am out of luck on that too. Tomorrow will begin the process of diputing the charge on my credit card. Yahoo. I need more aggravation in my life.

I bought a ipod at this store and the extended warranty. Six months later my ipod would not hold a charge and the art work would disappeared, and would only hold 200 songs. The geek squad who "fix it" by reformatting it for an IBM and disregarding the print outs I brought from home. The NEXT day the same thing happened. I came back. The same Geek Squad person was their and said nothing was wrong. I ask to speak to his supervisor. The "Geek Squad FBI" person came out and without looking at my ipod stated that there was nothing wrong with it. I went to the store manager and he had the Apple computer salesperson go with me to the Geek Squad to get the help I needed. When we got their The " Geek Squad FBI" came out of his back room got into my face and pointed his finger at me and yelled that I had no right to talk to the manager or anyone else because there was nothing wrong with my ipod. The manager had to come over and send the ipod out to be repaired when it came back the drive had been crack.

I purchased an iPod integration kit for my car about a week ago. I picked the unit out myself since apparently no one working in that department had the time to help me. I took the unit up to the cashier to pay for it, and when I asked how to set up my appointment with geek squad(which was included in the price), she had no clue. She stared at the box of the unit for a couple of seconds, and then wandered off, apparently to the geek squad desk to find an answer to my question. After returning she simply stated, "oh just go back to the car audio section and do it." Great. So after setting up an appointment, the day comes to finally have my unit installed. After about an hour I picked up my car only to have the installer tell me that the unit only halfway works. REALLY? This store has extremely unprofessional employees, and it seems like everyone that works there is is under 25 and has no clue what theyre doing. Terrible experience, I will never return.

I dont typically write a review but in light of all the negative reviews, I feel the need to input my encounters. I have never encountered a rude representative while shopping here, even on Black Friday last year. Geek Squad is not nearly as informed on computers as they give off and they specifically seem to hate their job, but the general reps have always attempted to help and Ive never encountered any problems doing a return or exchange for defective products (I had a Lycosis keyboard act faulty within 30 days and they exchanged it for me instantly). Also helps if you dont sit there expecting someone to come find you -- while its nice when they ask you first, if you need help, go ask them directly. Stop acting helpless. They do the same thing at Frys.

I used to buy everything at Best Buy, however, over the past few years, customer service has declined to the point where its nonexistent. Last October I was Christmas shopping for a laptop for almost 30 minutes and saw associates standing around talking and couldnt bother trying to help. I was just there tonight (9/18/13) looking at car stereos. I had questions, but again, after 20 minutes of no one coming over, the store was not busy, I left. No wonder customers are buying elsewhere. Ill go to Best Buy to look at and compare products, but they have lost my business.
