Their personal stylist service is a joke. Seriously needed help and called to set up appt. No one answered in that department. Called back about an hour later and the operator paged someone. The person who picked up said she was a stylist but was busy at the moment - with a client - and took my name and phone # - scheduled me for two days later and said she would call me back as soon as she was finished with appt. No call. Next day I called back. Asked to confirm that I had an appt and asked where I was supposed to go to meet someone in that department. The assistant to the stylists answered the phone - claimed there was no appt for me - so she scheduled me AGAIN for the next day - even though I requested the day after. Told me I would be with one stylist. About 2 hours later, I get a call from another stylist who claims Im now supposed to meet with her and can I come in 1/2 hour earlier. Whatever. It turns out - the person I met with was just a salesperson - she was virtually no help at all - abandoned me to choose my own dresses - was insincerely complimentary about the most horrid dresses - did not listen to my input at all - was, in total, no help - barely spent 10 minutes out of 70 minutes with me. Then, would not leave me alone in the dressing room to try on my own clothes (Im modest about these things). She just didnt get it. I would never recommend this Nordstrom service to anyone - quite the opposite, as a matter of fact. The selection of nicer dresses was very poor. Everything was frilly and sleeveless or blingy or matronly or just the same dress in different colors. Very few simple, elegant dresses to choose from - virtually nothing in a long dress except prom-like dresses or over-the-top evening gowns - or strapless summer things. It was a bad experience. A waste of time. And I took off time from my job to do this!!! I went to Dillards after leaving there and found more options by myself than a personal stylist at Nordstrom was able to find for me. Thats a telling statement.

We took my daughters prom dress to Nordstroms Rack today to be altered. The website states that alterations can be done on garments not purchased there at an additional cost. Once we arrived there was nobody in alterations. A nice woman who works there helped us track down someone to help us... She asked my daughter what she needed done, she told her a hem on her prom dress. The woman said and I quote "Eww! A prom dress? I dont think we can do that! Take it to nordstroms they can do it there!" ..... Okay, no problem we will take it there. My husband has a nordstroms card and spends a great deal of money there each year. We arrived at nordstroms and were told yes, they could help us. The woman who helped us told my daughter to go get her dress on and the tailor would be in to measure. My daughter was so excited! She and her sister went in and got her dress on and the tailor arrived. She looked at my daughters very expensive dress we had purchased at a boutique in Littleton and shut her down. We were told that perhaps if it was a straight hem she would consider it but as it is not that she had to many other dresses to worry about and we had not purchased the dress there. Well, if alterations are not offered IF the "Talior" deems it harder then sewing on a button it should be made clear on your website and your employees should have this information as well. Secondly I was more then happy to pay for it and third if this is how you conduct your business to shut down a excited girl going to her first prom in telling her you have other people that matter more since she did not purchase the dress there, yet we were bringing it to you willing to pay for that service, you can rest assure we will not continue to purchase items at your store using your card you all push so hard. Utter nonsense.

My Husband and kids took me to Nordstrom to purchase my birthday present. I wanted a watch. I saw a Baby G Shock Watch and decided that would be the one for me. A gal had asked if we needed help initially but I was only looking at the time. The salesman that helped us once the decision was made was just out to get the sale done. Didnt ask if we needed help changing the time, didnt make sure there was an owners manual in the box, nothing.... just wanted the sale. Granted we only spent $100 but being a business owner myself, the sales people are the front line of your store and should be as helpful as possible. Customer Service can make you or break you. So, now that I have had to resort to the internet to find out how to change the time on this watch and the fact that I will be returning it, since nothing on the internet has helped me.... I am certainly disappointed with the service I have received. I am not one to get online and bash stores, because one I dont have the time and rather live my life... but the fact that I cannot even change the time on this damn thing is annoying. I am sure this will fall on deaf ears since Nordstrom is such a big company, but I for one will not be shopping there in the future.

This is the closest location for me to buy my CHANEL makeup. I took my time to drive up there with my husband to only experience the worst customer service I have ever experienced in this location. The saleswoman asked what I needed and didnt bother to listen to everything I was listing. She grabbed one item I mentioned, which happened to not be the waterproof I requested, and proceeded to check us out. She then handed me the small container and sent us on our way. I asked for a bag and received a small paper thin bag that was ripped! After that, I have ordered everything directly from CHANEL and not only receive the best customer service, but free samples in every package (which never happened at Nordstrom). I guess Nordstrom doesnt feel that my few hundred dollars every few months is not enough to maintain my business.

The Park Meadows Nordstrom is head & shoulders above my usual shopping at Flatiron Crossing. While the higher-end product inventory is most excellent, the service in Mens is, meh. Overall theyre a pretty good crew, its when they get busy that you need to be more assertive than usual in seeking assistance. I prefer shopping here over Flatiron Crossing because I work nearby, the higher-end inventory is much better, and there seems to be better synergy between departments, as you can go to any counter to pick up online orders. Theres also a home decor dept., which adds to the appeal of shopping at the Park Meadows Nordstrom.

Maybe this is because I havent been to Nordstrom in forever (5 years living in Nordstrom-free Louisiana), but it seems they have completely reorganized the store, and I find it a bit confusing. Instead of the sections I remember (Savvy, TBD, other weirdly-named areas), its now organized by designer. Which makes sense, but makes it a bit harder to look at different designers versions of the same thing. Its like shopping at a ton of little shops (Free People, Madewell, etc.) within a shop. Maybe I just need to get used to it...
