Terrible experience with Desiree. I dropped off a prescription on Tuesday only to find out it required pre-authorization. Now, my frustration at this point sits with my health insurance provider as I was prescribed the same medication I have been on for a month at a slightly higher dose and, while the last prescription didnt need authorization, this one does. Unfortunately, I am only given a 30 day supply (as this was a "trial period") and had to make my follow up appointment 30 days out so I already knew the timing would be tricky. For the last three days, since I dropped off the prescription, I have called the Target pharmacy, my health insurance provider and my doctors office pretty much constantly to try to ensure I didnt go a day without medication. Today I spoke with Desiree to let her know that this was urgent, I had been working on this issue for three days, and my provider said they should try to run the med to see if it was approved. She first rudely interrupted me saying they just received the prescription yesterday - great, I didnt say that TARGET had this for three days, but that I had been fighting this process for three days, that I was now out of meds, and that is why it was urgent. Second, after speaking with my provider who told me that it WAS approved, I asked her to call my provider directly to work out system issues as it was still showing pre-auth needed (this is specifically what my provider told me to have them do). The entire time Desiree has an attitude, sighing, sounding exasperated. As if I am not also exasperated. As if I have not had multiple breakdowns because my care team cant approve a drug Im already on and need to function. I am the one being medically affected, but yes, poor you having to make one phone call. Because everyone kept promising to call me back with updates, and never did, I asked Desiree if I should give her a call back later today to see what happened. She flatly said, "dont call me." I will be transferring my medications out of this store ASAP.

These guys got me my prescription really fast one day. I was in love with them. That is why they get two stars. I lost a vital prescription yesterday. I spent last night in agonizing pain. I called first thing in the morning to see if they would be able to get it for me within the next 24 hours. I explained the situation. They told me yes they would. The call was at 8 a.m. in the morning. They called me at 6 p.m. that night to tell me that they were no longer contracted with my insurance and that it would cost me $700 for them to get it in by the next morning. They wasted a full 10 hours when I could have been getting my prescription elsewhere, only to tell me that they had lied to me that morning. When I explained how devastating this was and that if I could not get the prescription somewhere else by tomorrow morning I would be in continued advanced pain I was met with an apology with a huge "but". . . . " that is our procedure we dont place orders until 5 p.m. or call insurance companies until then." As if this is an acceptable excuse as if this makes it okay. They reassured me that I would have it by the next morning . . . but they actually had not done the proper work to know if that was accurate. I guess technically it was, for the small price of $700 out of pocket. They only recently stopped contracting with my insurance company, but their policy is to not check on this until 5pm . . . apparently my severe pain and repeated request for assurance that I would have the prescription by the next morning did nothing to change that procedure.

I used Targets pharmacy for many many years and really wanted to stick with them when CVS took over. But after over a year of receiving incorrect medications, texts indicating my prescriptions were ready when they, in fact, were not, extremely rude and incompetent pharmacists, and a laundry list of other complaints -- Im out. I dont need this brain damage when there are other options in town.

SLOW. There can be 5+ people working, they will continue to talk to each other and tell customers "be right with you". Very rude on phone as well. Desiree is the most rude and inconsiderate person as well.

Even though it sometimes takes a little long to have a drop-off prescription filled, the staff is attentive to your needs. The pharmacist in charge is professional, pleasant and helpful.
