I have officially quit this pharmacy. I have not really had issues with the grocery side of things, but my pharmacy experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will no longer be shopping at this location at all. I had to transfer all of my prescriptions from a previous Safeway that shut down. Every time I came to the pharmacy at this location, there were several pharmacists standing in the back. They never say hello or acknowledge you. If there is not a clerk, they eventually come up and it is an inconvenience. The clerks are not always friendly and one actually made me feel low because I was there often for regular medications. Seriously. So I have quit and I have moved to another Safeway. It has been nothing but a nightmare getting this King Soopers to transfer my prescriptions. For a couple of them, the Safeway pharmacist was put on hold numerous times before she talked to anyone. My last prescription that I needed moved--the Safeway pharmacist was not only but on hold for a lengthy amount of time--the pharmacist came on and told her she was too busy to call another time. Wow! This solidifies why I am not there anymore! I now go to Safeway and I am welcomed by all pharmacists and clerks with hellos and smiles. It is a place I actually do not dread having to go and stand in line. I will also no longer be shopping at this King Soopers for groceries. I am done. I am just one family in a sea of families of customers. May not matter. However, if this pharmacy continues like this--I can foresee others walking away too.

I spoke with the manager prior to writing this review and she was very gracious and apologized for my bad experience and is sending me a gift card. Thank you for turning my bad experience and resolving it to the best of your ability. I was in the store recently to purchase BBQ food for my wifes birthday. My son was with me and he purchased a glass candle holder for his mom. While in line my son dropped the candle holder and broke it all over the floor. The cashier was clearly not happy. I offered to purchase the candle holder and at checkout she did charge me for it. Ill be honest I wasnt actually expecting for her to charge me. It was $2.00 or something... I think the cashier could have been more gracious over the incident. Im sure its annoying to have to clean up a customers mess, but the scowls and unfriendly response was not in tune with the companys motto. Ive been a customer of King Soopers since childhood. In fact, I remember going to the store with my mom when I was a child in Arvada, their first store in Colorado prior to being bought by Kroger Foods. Point is I spent $1000s in the store and Ive been a loyal customer for years and years... I will likely go back into the store...its convenient and generally I get very good service, but in this day of electronic google reviews and such I just have to ask that cashier: Are you stupid?

I have been a customer of this store (8673 S Quebec St, Highlands Ranch, CO) for over 15 years. We probably shop there at least twice or three times a week. I like shopping there because the location is near my home and I partially know where all the items are located. The problem I have is with the meat department. There is not a large section of meat in the (floor) cases. The fresh case seafood always look nice and fresh. But the open cases have a very limited supply of fresh meat and is not restocked often. Even when there is a weekly (special) sale there is a very small amount of meat to choose from. It is not because they had a rush on sales or doing high value shopping time. We are retired and visit the store often at various time of the day. Therefore, we do not buy the majority of our fresh meat from this store. We often buy our meat from Safeway (Lincoln/Yosemite) or Kings on University. I would have given this store a five...but the meat department causes us an inconvenient.

Store needs a facelift. Limited deli and produce choices as compared to their higher end stores that cater to upper middle class neighborhoods like orchard & holly and bellview & Yosemite stores. This store is not very people friendly. I like to get in and get out as quickly as possible. The checkout clerks are consistently callous and rarely smile. Typically the only greeting you will get is the typical " did you find everything that you were looking for ". I try to avoid this King Soopers if at all possible in favor of friendlier locations but I literally live across the street from this location.

Employees seem so nice thus far. Never really had any issues. So many remember us & will go out of their way to greet us with a smile. My motto; Treat others how you want to be treated. I have always treated everyone with respect & always received it in return. Theyre human beings, not your robot slaves. Too many people expect too much. Personally, I like this store & recommend it. Everyone is a pleasure there :) PS, Please stock up on more VEGAN foods! Thanks!

Dont ever purchase cooked Chicken here. It has no flavor whatsoever. I bought the baked chicken, that had some citrus flavor (thats what I was told) I came home took it out to eat and it was bad. It also had a human hair in it. Groceries as expensive when compared to Wal-Mart as well.
