I have decided to document and post updates about my experiences with this company. Hopefully they will notice and make some changes with the way they conduct business because nothing else seems to work. Kent Shelton, please take notice to improve your customer relations in Lakewood. 9/2/16 Made a payment on time and they did not send the PassTime code to me. Tried to call and remind them that they forgot to send the code and they would not answer my call. Left a voicemail and they will not return phone calls. My car was disabled over the weekend because Joe and Alberto failed, yet again, to do their job. 7/27/16 Update: My payment was due on Saturday 7/22/16. I called several times to make payment but could not get through. Left a voicemail. No response. They were closed on Sunday 7/23. Tried to call on Monday 7/24/16 to make a payment. I made 7 calls before anyone answered. I was placed on hold for 30 minutes and had to call back. Spoke with Alberto to make my payment. I did not receive my PassTime code. I tried to call back several times but no answer. Left a voicemail. No response. I was not able to drive to work on Tuesday 7/25/16 because I did not receive a PassTime code. Called back on Tuesday to ask for a code and the guy I spoke with hung up on me. ORIGINAL POST: When they issue a new PassTime code after you make a payment it will expire a few days later which means they disable your car and you cant drive it--even if you are current on payments. I went to the location in person to pay because the phone number was disconnected. Yes, the phone number was disconnected. They would not accept my payment because they said the phone lines were down. I was able to make a payment a few days later, however, my PassTime code expired after 24 hours. When I called to speak to someone reguarding this issue I was told that my payment was late and that was why my Passtime code was only valid for 1 day. Its not my fault they werent able to process my payment because of the phone lines, and that is no excuse for my PassTime code expiring. This has been the most frustrating business relationship I have ever been involved with. When you call they put you on hold and forget about you, or just hang up on you. Most of the time the phone goes straight to voicemail. I have left several messages and never received a return phone call. When I signed the paperwork to finance my car they never collected my $1,000 down payment. I realized on the way home that they did not collect the cash from me, even though the signed paperwork indicated that I paid $1,000 cash down payment. I chose to be kind and honest and I decided to turn around to give them the $1,000 cash down payment. Joe stated that Alberto would have been responsible to pay that out of his own pocket because he failed to collect the payment and it was good I decided to return to give Alberto the cash. Alberto still hangs up on me when I call to make a payment. What kind of service is that? I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

I wish there was a way to give negative stars for a review. I came to them because I needed a car and my credit score was low. I had heard that they put the PASSTIME device on the car so that if you missed payments the vehicle wouldnt start... no big deal because I make payments on time... however, I cant count the number of times when the device started to ding letting me know a payment is due, and I call to make the payment, only to get the voicemail system. I leave message after message and never get a return call back so I can give them my payment. Other times, Ive called to make a payment and been told to call back later because they were busy with another customer... WTF???? They have ZERO customer service skills at this place. I knew going in that I would end up paying at least twice what the car was actually worth, and I knew from the beginning that they werent going to report my payments to the 3 major credit bureaus...but shouldnt that be MORE of a reason to go out of your way to be courteous to your customers? After all, for the amount of money I put down, I could have easily gone to a more reputable dealership and gotten better customer service as well as have my payments reported to the credit agencies. Thats what I get for thinking this buy here pay here lot would do me right. My friends ask me where they can get a good deal on a used car and I tell them any where except Avalanche Automotive.

Here we are again, my 3rd time having to borrow a car to get to work because the MANAGER has zero comprehension on can you please make a note that my car payment isnt due until Monday. I have repeatedly had this problem with this car dealership. Then you get some smart ass answer that says well you have 2 emergency codes you can use if that happens. Well no I dont because Ive had to use them already beacuse the manager never puts the right date. I have had this car for over a year and a half and have never once been late paying a car payment yet this is the 5th time my car hasnt started on the day my car payment is due. Its ridiculous they can keep doing this and not be held responsible for the incredibly HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Original post:Terrible customer service!! When I asked for help with all the problems Ive had in under just 9 months of paying on it even though these issues started 3 months after my purchase, and have had HUGE mechanical expenses that have cost me over a $1000 to fix some of them have even been SAFETY issuse while driving!! The so called manager literally laughed and said Im not going to help you!! AND I MAKE MY CAR PAYMENTS ON TIME EVERY MONTH AND STILL RECEIVED HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! At least the guy Alberto who sold me the car is polite, maybe he should be the manager!! I would suggest not buying from here, even the RTD or walking would be an upgrade!!

Their customer service sucks and they put a kill switch on your car for those who dont make timely payments. However, for those of us who do pay on time, its difficult. For instance, when trying to make a payment or fax proof of insurance they are never available OR they answer the phone to put you on hold and then ask you to call back in x amount of time. I have personally been hung up on numerous times, had my payments applied to the wrong account and had my car shut off because of it. I really wish I didnt go to this lot and just paid a higher down payment elsewhere to avoid the headache of dealing with these people! Counting down the days when I can trade this car in!

They literally stole my truck back from me after it broke down, wouldnt even let me get my interlock out of it, and are now falsely making claims that i damaged it. I was never late on payments, didnt owe them anything. Worst people you could imagine that are running this place. Owner ran out the back door when i called cops on him, and the 2 illegal immigrants that are supposed to be salesmen basically screw people over all day long. These people deserve to be in jail for the way they screw people over daily. You have been warned do not go to this place!!!!!!!
