The older lady that handles the fish and small animals here is the most annoying and rude person Ive come in contact with! Every time I go in to buy something she will tell me I cant buy it and basically make me feel like Im some irresponsible pet owner. I wanted to add a couple fish to my 10 gal fish tank.. I currently have 3 very small fish in it and she told me I cant add more fish and they all die.. My kids really wanted 2 more fish and she told them no and then said Ill let you have one. Who the hell does this lady think she is! Let me buy my kids freaking fish!! And about a year ago I wanted to buy my daughter a little bird she told my daughter shes to young and she cant have it.. I only go to this petco if I REALLY have to and I avoid this woman as much as possible!!!

My wife and I went to get some supplies for our cat and my wife fell in love with a kitten and we had to give her a home, the staff were extremely helpful and exited for now our new kitten, however the "manager" Julie i believe is her name, is the most terrifying person to work for, she was yelling in the middle of the store at the staff as well as the customers telling everyone what to do and not to do. I couldnt stand seeing that and I asked her to treat her employees like a person please, she responded by saying "they need it, specially him (the trainer who was helping us), they need this." and walked away. She needs to be gone. nobody deserves to be treated like she treats her staff at work.

Horrible. This particular petco does not take care of their small animals such as the rats. I asked why their were rats alone in a cage (2 cages each had their lone rats) and expressed my concern and didnt get an answer, instead i got ignored. Their rats also are not cared for at all in any loving caregiving way. they have aggressive rats on display that they turn people away from. I have had great experiences with petco in other locations, but this one is not good with the care of their live animals. This is very concerning and advise people who are looking for a companion to look elsewhere.

They did treat the rats there well in my experience, they had clean cages, cage buddies, and a habitable environment. The manager, who helped me at the time briefed me on rats, although I already had two. This experience far differs from my experience at pet smart. My rats were in a 1 x 1 cube with three others, and a dirty cage. My rats were obviously abused either at pet smart or at the distributor, my pet co rat was not.

they treat some animals like garbage, I would suggest buying animals from her only to save them from this store, there rats are mistreated and not loved, and some reptiles got thrown away, I know this because my family was driving and saw movement from the PetCo garbage cans and they see a small iguana in a bag.

Overall, its a decent petco. Needs a better training facility, but thats most Petcos. Wish theyd take a clue from petsmart on that one. Petco offers better food and treats compared to petsmart though. This location could probably use a facelift, but its clean and usually stocked decently.

Friendly people, seemed knowledgeable about where product was within the store, and its quality. More than one employee was able to speak about crates, replacement parts and was knowledgeable about dog breeds.

Bought salt for my saltwater tank, wish they had some inexpensive glass containers for Betta fish to choose from, all they had was plastic ones for $15.00.

I repeatedly shop here at least 1-2 times a week for my cat and dog no issues. I can always find what Im looking for and never had bad customer service.
