All pet stores in the mall are not as well kept up as other pet stores. You should know that going into the store. I have bought a kitten from them as well as quite a few fish. My kitten is PERFECTLY healthy and full of life. She is the friendliest cat I have ever met, she gets along with all other animals and is so cuddly. My fish have been living for over 3 years, which is the max for bettas. My other bettas have died and have gotten more which have died before the ones from this store have. The bird in the store has been living for YEARS and is such a sweetie. I have recently purchased a puppy from them and I couldnt be happier with her. I have NEVER had a problem and the people there are VERY FRIENDLY and VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. My puppy had some stress issues coming into the pet store and they took care of quickly and safely and now she is perfectly healthy. I got a puppy from them about 4 years, I ended up giving her to my mother after our 17 year old Black Lab was put down, and she is alive and well and has always been healthy. Everyone who buys from a pet store at malls and such should KNOW that they are not as well kept up as most places and that they do not come from well breeders. So dont get mad at them for it, they give a health warranty and such because they know it is not safe to keep that many dogs at once. But this pet store is so nice, the people there are nice, and they helped me with my new puppy and now we have GREAT pets. Think optimisticly... if these pet stores didnt take those puppies away from the unlawful mills, they would die from horrific things. It is unfornutate that some of your animals were sick, but that is most likely from the puppy mills, NOT from the store. I am TOTALLY against puppy mills, so dont get me wrong, but it isnt the STORES fault. They do what they can.

I am typically a rescue-centric person. All of my pets have been rescued in various ways. Found as stray, rescued from shelters, etc. Then it happened. The evening of our Anniversary we were waiting for a table at Land of Sushi (great Sushi by the way) and we stopped into Perfect Pets to kill some time and get some Puppy Love, and there she was. A six month old West Highland White Terrier with the biggest cutest ears I have ever seen. After speaking with Jens at length about his business and getting comfortable with the idea of buying a pet from a pet store, I spent a few days observing Bunny (named for those extra large ears and a super cute hop) and how she interacted with other people. When I realized how excited she was whenever a child passed by, I was sold. 5 days after we first came in, we came back and Bunny joined the family. I have seen a few bad reviews for this place and have to wonder if they actually were at the same place. I did see the Plexiglass enclosures, but they were spotlessly clean and I think that they really promote good socialization with other puppies and people as people are coming in and touching them daily. Bunny is an extremely social little pup and she loves both people and other dogs alike. We were given a free month of pet insurance, a free vet visit, enough food to get us through about 10 days, and continued support by the store with regard to Bunnys health. All in all our dealings with Perfect Pets was a great experience. They are fair, honest, and as far I am concerned offering just what they advertise...Perfect Pets. If we ever decide to get another Dog, I will definitely consider purchasing from them again. :)

The one star is because we love our dog! These pups are from puppy mills. We lost our 16 year old Westie last July and were missing her. My husband found a Westie online at Perfect Pet so he and my son went to see her. They sent me a picture of her and called me from the store. I asked to talk to the manager. He was unavailable so I spoke with an employee. I was assured that the puppies come from reputable breeders and the store would provide me with the name of the breeder and her contact information. Sammy is a textbook product of a puppy mill. She is very anxious, has recurring parasites, and has a bad habit of eating her own poop. I called and was able to speak to the manager. He has a long spiel about puppy mills vs breeders and can actually be quite convincing. He has probably had a lot of practice! He refused to give me the breeders contact information his reason being that I might buy directly from her and cut him out. Not likely. He admitted he had never even met her. The breeders name is Marla Campbell. She lives in KS. The shop owner hires someone to go pick up the puppies half way between CO and KS. I have tried to locate the phone number of the kennel with no success. Reputable breeders never sell to pet stores because they care about their puppies. Reputable breeders will always talk to you about the puppy and supply information and pictures of the parents. Reputable breeders advertise phone numbers!!!

BUYER BEWARE- I made the mistake of purchasing a dog from these people a few years ago... I couldnt find a dog that I wasnt extremely allergic to at a shelter, but I should have taken more time to keep looking and adopt instead of supporting a place that sells dogs that are unethically bred or least gone to a reputable breeder instead of taking my little guy home. I just couldnt imagine him being stuck in their disgusting "bargain dog bin" for one more night, so I gave in and took him home. Well, he has been anything but a bargain. He is my best buddy and I would do anything for him, but he should have never been bred. He has had multiple health issues related to bad breeding that have cost us thousands of dollars and will probably eventually cost our pup his life. Do your research, ask exactly where the dogs come from and then do your research on those facilities. Being USDA Certified doesnt mean that they are good breeders.. It just means that they can legally sell animals... Take your time, do your research and please adopt a dog that needs a home, not one that was bred specifically for profit. By doing so you will just continue the cycle of irresponsible breeding and more dogs will have to suffer. If you must purchase a dog then at least get it directly from a reputable breeder that cares about each and every pup that they raise, not a pet store like this.

I was recommended this place after spending the day running around looking for feeder mice and having no luck. Upon walking in with my leashed ferret, I am met with a rude employee. Thought maybe he didnt like ferrets and were used to that, so I let it alone. I assume he was the manager Im reading about in other reviews. I asked if they had feeder mice, was told yes and then ignored. Found them myself to discover none were for sale, thanks for letting me know. I told them what I was looking for and was met with clipped tones. He proceeds to tell me to feed my ferrets the literal WORST two foods on the market, then told me I am welcome to my opinion when I explained long-term it will kill the animals. It lacks the needed nutrition. He said he worked at Marshalls for 20 years and theyre terrific...Marshalls is an abusive mill. Watch the YouTube videos of Triple F where Marshalls gets some of their breeders. They had puppies everywhere PACKED into small enclosures so tight they stomped on each other to move around, some looked deceptively healthy, as many MILL animals do, but others clearly were very sick. These people dont know what theyre talking about, or what theyre doing. Last I checked it was illegal to keep them crammed into pens like that too. Stay away from this place.
