Returned some cat food on behalf of my dad. He spends a lot of money there to keep his cat happy with a variety of textures and flavors. But at 87 years of age, he occasionally gets faked out and gets some undesirable cans of food that earn scorn from his cat. That cat can have anything she wants. Anything! She came along when he needed someone to pour his love into, and who would love him back. That cat saved him and I am grateful to have her in our lives. The folks at PetCo know their story, know about the food Chloes deems unacceptable, then cheerfully and with great kindness, take the returns and hand back a store credit for my dad. What a wonderful group of genuinely good people. I love them all for being so respectful to my dad.

If you want to buy fish from here, DONT. Their fish tank water quality is so bad. In one of their tanks with all the goldfish, directly across all the bettas, it was like a fish grave yard. So many dead fish piled on each other. One day I was there for some albino cory cats and the lady said they werent cory cats but instead Bala Sharks. Wtf? Next day after I bought the cory cats one of them died. (Out of 4. In an established tank). Pass on this petco (all petcos probably) and go to petsmart (next to bestbuy) or better yet find a local fish store.

I rarely go in to pet stores as I buy most of the litter I need for my cats and specialty cat food online so I dont have to haul it upstairs to my apartment. Petco, this one and all the other ones Ive been in, are pretty standard fare chain stores for pet needs. I grabbed the litter I needed and was on my way in a few minutes time with minimal staff interaction. Decently large selection for a variety of animals.

Bought two super cute Guinea pigs from here. Not only were they extremely skinny but they had fleas! Which spread to all of the animals in my house. I thought that was the worst part but they also had ringworm, which I now have. Very upset with Petco. Would never recommend buying any animals here. Would give no stars if I could.

The vet technicians at the Sunday clinic were less than professional. I took my cat for her annual vaccines and they traumatized her for days. My cat was terrified but they showed no concern or care for her.

Asked Tara if they carried a certain size filter for my fish tank and was treated very rudely. Would not recommend this store based on the customer service.
