Just picked up some work shoes for all day on hard concrete floors work. Customer service is not dead! I learned this is Rays Shoes originally from 1960. And I was helped by Ray himself on a Sunday afternoon. I had been to two nearby uniform shops which I learned the hard way were closed on Sundays. Also went to Sears, WalMart, Bootbarn, Costco and a couple other small shops. Although I was Rays only customer on this particular afternoon, he took considerable time asking me about my profession and working conditions, making sure he sized me properly, and brought several styles of boots out he thought may work based on his experience and the info given. Then he did what few people do these days, he listened. He wanted my feedback on the feel and fit. When others may have walked away and grumbled under their breath to get another size he volunteered before I could ask. I had heard great things about Red Wings and wore them comfortably right out of box. They feel great!

Picked up some redwing boots from rays red wings and I am amazed at the customer service. I went around to a few different red wing retailers and NONE of them were even close to rays customer service. I even got a pair of free socks!!! What a guy! I will return to his store for every shoe purchase, You just dont get this kind of customer service any more. He also had a bigger boot/shoe selection than any of the other smaller red wing stores. I could type all day about how good my experience was with ray but Ill end it on a note of he deserves a red wing customer service award by far. These boots feel amazing being that he fit them for me unlike all the other stores even the other red wing retailers didnt do this. Thanks ray!

Incredible service hands-down. They did not have what I was looking for but were more than helpful in finding me a place that would have it! looked up the address and phone number for me. One things for sure, when I do need some steel tip toe shoes, Ill be coming back and buying them from here. Once again some of the best customer service I have ever received, thank you!

Ray has been selling shoes his whole life and it shows he will make sure you are 100 % satisfied before and after you buy your boots he will measure your foot, put the boots on and lace them up for you have been going here for over 15 years best around the Sacramento area
