Recently visited the Palo Alto (Stanford Shopping Center) location and was so turned off by the customer service, or lack there of. I told the sales person that I was interested in the Sounddock and that I was deciding between the $299 and $399 (portable) models. He tried to sell me various other products that were more expensive and not at all what I was looking for. I said that I needed to think about the purchase and that Id have to come back. He reminded me of his name (fine, Ive worked in sales and thats normal) but then told me that he has children to feed. Dont we all have someone to feed? I know times are tough, but that just wasnt a good sales move. I walked out of the store and over to the nearby Apple store. I asked a few more questions about the product and the salesperson never once tried to sell me anything other than what I was looking for. The service there was friendly and less phony. So, I bought the product there instead.
