Unfortunately, I had to reduce my rating from 4 stars down to 2 stars (1.5 stars if the option was available). Walmart stores used to be a major convenience and lifesaver in my life because they operated 24 hours and there was usually one nearby anywhere you went these days. I have always worked full-time/over-time shifts that prevented me from getting to Walmart until between 12 midnight - 4:00am. In Everett, where I live, I live in almost exactly in the middle of two separate Walmarts, each just over 1 mile away. One of them is much newer than the other, albeit nicer, however, while it has many or all of the same departments/categories, its a much smaller store it seems (less variety of each item?) --- but I have always been thankful for ANY Walmart for the simple fact that they catered to all business/customers by operating 24 hours. However, approximately 2 years ago, the older Walmart near me announced new operating hours and began opening daily from 9am-11pm --- What. The. Heck? I definitely did a double take as I had never, EVER heard of a Walmart NOT being 24 hours.... Thankfully, my favorite Walmart was the newer one almost close by and I frantically drove over to make sure the new location didnt have the new hours announcement sign up in their window---excellent, no new hours at Everett Mall Way... Fast forward 2 years and thousands of dollars and hundred of visits; to my surprise, as I entered the store at 1:30am on 9/28 to do some minor grocery shopping... there it was... that same sign announcing that beginning 10/1 this location would be CLOSING daily from 12:00am-7:00am (AKA open 7am-Midnight daily)..... I realize I officially had 2 days remaining to shop at a Walmart store; after doing some quick research, the closest one to me that is CURRENTLY 24 hours is 17 miles. Both Walmarts in Everett are no longer 24 hours; and the 164th Walmart in Lynnwood has also suffered the same fate. Its very unfortunate, there are so many people that work shifts that make it difficult to do something basic as grocery shop -- every time I went there, of course it isnt busy like the afternoon but there was always a good amount of cars in the lot & people in the store, considering the time frame (12am-4am usually) -- it still is a strange concept to me... Non-24 Hour Walmarts.. Once the older Everett Walmart reduced their hours, I was almost positive means we had 2 Walmarts in Everett that the new one would remain 24 hours... wishful thinking. Upon asking an associate the reason for the new permanent limited hours... they all say the same thing: theft. Officially cannot think of any convenient 24 hour place to shop that is less than 6+ miles away from me now... and even that, is a QFC... not my favorite.

Not usually a wal mart shopper but decided to look at their selection of artificial Christmas trees this year. Once I decided I would purchase one, I had to hunt down someone to help me. I found two employees standing in a main aisle talking about another associate. I walked up and said, "Excuse me", and they ignored me and continued to talk. I stood there patiently waiting. The man glanced at me and continued on. They were complaining about this other associate and decided they were going to go "confront her" and began walking away from me. My sister, who was with me, stepped up and said loudly, "excuse me can you guys please help us?" They agreed to help, but made it obvious they didnt want to be bothered. I was showing them a particular tree on their website that I wanted to purchase, and had found on their shelf, but couldnt reach it. I was also inquiring about the price difference. They were both very rude during the whole process and kept telling me I didnt know what I was talking about with their site and the price. Said I probably found the "wrong tree" I did not. Once we confirmed I indeed had the right tree, the woman kept telling me if I wanted that price I would have to order it on their site and they would send it to my home. I pointed out that it said available for store pickup "today" and she said then the warehouse would have to mail one to their store for me to pick up. Again, I showed her it said "available for store pickup TODAY" she was very confused by this and finally agreed to let me have it for the online price, just to tell the cashier she said it was ok. I went to self checkout and explained it to the cashier there. She rang it up and I ended up having to wait what seemed like 10 minutes for an override. During this wait, the guy who is monitoring the exit, is watching us, and sees me purchasing the tree, but when I go to exit the store, he asks to see my receipt. He sees it shows the tree voided off, and acted like I was trying to take a tree I didnt pay for. He continued looking at the receipt and found the it was voided for a price adjustment and then said, "oh, ok, you did buy it. Ha ha have a good night" The whole experience reminded me why I never shop at wal mart

This Walmart has horrible customer service, and they will talk to you like you are stupid. Been here before to do a No-receipt return and it was no problem, they looked up my transaction by asking me what register I was at and what time. Once they found my transaction and verified what I purchased, they refunded me the money back on to my card. So, my boyfriend recently went in to purchase windshield wipers for his car.. they ended up not fitting his car and he didnt have his receipt, we went in together thinking it wouldnt be a problem since the last time it wasnt.. well it was a HUGE issue so I had the lady at the register call up a manager, soon enough, there were 6 employees behind the counter telling my boyfriend and I that they have NEVER been able to return without a receipt and they were all talking to me like I was lying. (I also work retail,5+ years experience, and know all the ins and outs to a register.) Very frustrating situation. I will never be coming back to this Walmart, even though it is closest to my house. I will be contacting corporate with all of the employees names. I dont recommend this Walmart, dont waste your money and time here.

So Ive been going to this Walmart since they recently opened. My first negative experience was with the bakery... There was an earwig bug in a loaf of cheesy bread I purchased. I called and complained, and the store manager did call me back and offer to give me a new one, free of charge obviously. The second experience was, you guessed it, also with the bakery. I ordered my daughters birthday cake through the bakery. I was quoted $29. I came to pick it up and 2 things were immediately wrong. 1. One of the plastic decorations was sitting DIRECTLY ON TOP of the icing that said "happy 2nd birthday".... They pulled it off, and it was hardly ruined. So in with the day, right? 2. The price quoted was not the actual price. I was charged $35. Again, not a huge deal... But small annoyances and mistakes really start to add up. The last thing that really set me off was, during the party while cutting the cake, about 25% of the cake didnt even have the strawberry filling in the middle and the top layer was VERY uneven. Lesson learned.... Do not buy things from that Walmart bakery....
