My goodness, what a joke. Like every review I have read regarding the customer service, my experience was terrible as well. The only positive experience I had was with my genius, Lisa, I believe that is her name. She was great. She helped me and was able to swap out my phone the same day with no hassle, helped with the backup and restoration of my iCloud. She is the ONLY reason why I give 3 stars. I was a little put off by the lack of customer service and dumbfounded look, I really was not in the mood for small talk. So I may have not seemed like I was in the best mood when she helped me. I just wanted to finish and go. First, I walk in an hour and half before my appointment time and I ask if I can be seen sooner than my appointment if they had any no shows or cancellations. They looked at me like I was asking for preferential treatment. If there were no cancellations, fine. Id wait. The greeter asked me why I was there. I let him know my issue and he radioed over to another guy standing in the middle of the store. I assumed he was letting him know the reasons why I was there, aside from having an appointment. He directs me over to this guy which asks me, "what are you here for today?" um... I just got done telling dude at the door why I was there and he seemed to speak to him for quite some time before I got to him so... what gives? So, I gave my spiel and he states that they may not be able to help me today due to the systems being down for an update or whatever and I would have to reschedule my appointment or everything would have to be done by hand on paper!! Oh no! Heaven forbid that technology goes down and we all have to remember what it is like to use a pen and paper again... He directs me over to another table where I wait for someone to assist me and this guy comes over and asks me the same thing that the first two guys asked me... "why are you here today?" WHAT?! do you not communicate with anyone else?? No genius communication?! At that point, all I could do is laugh. The guy tells me the issue and then directs me to the genius bar and I wait for my tech to come over. Like I said, she was great. She was quick and efficient and helped me to the fullest Now, your other employees that work there... rude. Absolutely rude. The stools at the genius bar happen to be a bit uncomfortable so I was standing up, momentarily, and as I am waiting for my tech to return with my swap, the employee brings a customer over and directs him to sit in my seat! No excuse me, thank you, pardon me, kiss my ass, nothing... Um OK. I thought I was just sitting there, obviously not. That happened twice!! Is that protocol? Do any of the qualifications to work at the Apple Store include having a lack of respect and no manners? I think that store needs to have some serious customer service training and by the looks of the other comments, Im not the only one that feels that way. I would rather drive 45 min out of my way than to have to go to that store for anything again.

very bad Apple Store!!!!!! I went to this store today with my wife and wanted to buy an iPad pro and an iPhone 6 Plus and was about to spend over $2000 . First we were told that we had to wait 15 minutes but after about half an hour had passed and many customers who had come after us were treated before us I went to the " greeter " and wanted to know why this was happening - I was told that different customers have different needs but one of the customers for example that I had witnessed was buying a small accessory worth maybe $40 whereas we wanted to spend a much bigger sum as previously stated. The amount of money one wants to spend of course should not be the crucial factor how one is supposed to be treated and I am sure the salesperson doesnt care about it, the store manager for sure does! ( I would if it were my shop ) I will go tomorrow morning to the Apple Store in Temecula and spend my money over there . Im positive that my experience wont be as bad as the one today in Palm Desert. follow up : The next day which was a Saturday I went to the Apple store in Temecula. after I had arrived there I was told right away that it was a very busy afternoon and I would have to wait between 15and 25 minutes. however a very nice young lady came up to me about seven minutes after I had gotten there and took my order. after maybe another 10 minutes I had everything I wanted and I could leave the store with my purchased items. this is how an Apple Store should work and should treat a customer who spends a lot of money in there. I am from Italy and have a property in the desert and come here about twice a year. so far I have always bought something at the Apple store in El Paseo but I know now that I will only go to the store in Temecula in the future.

I have had problems with my iphone 5 since I downloaded the newest upgrade. The battery drains immediately. Ill have 50% when I go to bed and will have zero in the morning. I am having to charge it all day long. This has only happened in the last week...I have had my phone for over a year. My husband has had the exact same problem and we downloaded the upgrade last week when we got it. There is only one apple store in the desert; I have 6 within 15 miles in NJ/nyc so I find the Palm Desert store frustrating to begin with. It is impossible to get reasonable, quick appointments; most times having to wait at least 7 days....unless you opt to walk in...I waited over 2 hours last time. I stopped in at the apple store tonight having read online that I was not the only one having this battery draining problem due to an upgrade and that by restoring and/or resetting, it could fix the bug creating the problem. However, as usual, I was told I could make an appointment for next week or walk in...I said that I had read it could be a quick fix and wanted to talk to someone as I am going out of town on Monday. I waited 20 minutes to talk to Brian who clearly did not want to help me because I did not have an appointment. He then proceeded to point out how my battery was draining because I do FaceTime and send text messages...dahhh, do I look like I was born yesterday...Brian may be able to get away with that with most of the market in the desert....but he picked the wrong person to be so condescending with. Brian was pathetic and not a good representation of customer service for apple. I will go back to NYC and NJ where they do have employees that are well trained in customer service and treat people with respect.
