As a gadget and electronics geek, it pains me to have to rate Best Buy only three stars, because I used to love this place. But the fact of the matter is that I easily get identical hardware from online vendors for significantly less money than what Best Buy sells them for. I used to justify that because Best Buy has their protection plan for hardware - You can get a three year accidental damage warranty for a laptop, for example. This sounds great, but unfortunately when the time comes to get hardware service on something (in this case a laptop), they mail your equipment away and its gone for two or three weeks. I had this happen to a client of mine, and the laptop came back broken - It wouldnt charge or run off of AC power. So, I went back with them to Best Buy, and the staff said all they could do was send it away for repair again - For another two or three weeks! The "peace of mind" that their protection plan offers is unfortunately not all that helpful if you need to get your equipment repaired in a timely manner. All this aside, they still have a great selection of items and you get to physically touch and see what you are getting before you purchase it. I recognize that this costs more money than a web retailer. Still, if someone is going to spend several hundred dollars on a premium extended warranty, they really should get premium service, not a month and a half wait to get their hardware back in working order.

The worst customer service I ever experience at best buy, I went in today helping a gal with her in store pick up. A girl at the front desk I believe her name is Stephanie took forever to walk a few step to ask the other girl at the back, then back and forth back and forth for like ever. They claim my friend didnt receive an email to confirm that the product is in store, whivh I spent almost an hour on the phone this morning and online. Since they sure I can pre-oder to pick up later on the day, that they dont have hold policy on their product. Between the two girls with the unplesant face at that desk no one even bother to help me get the product that I couldnt find, I am new in town and they dont seems to be able to perform any work ethic. I got so upset to later found Stephanie at the front door making laugh with another girl, I ask for the manager Scott but he seems to defense Stephanie that she isnt working at that department and ask me what did she done wrong, I honestly got so piss at that point and I do understand the staff might get tired after a long raining day from work, but II been to many best buy store in the past and they seems nice and helpful. None of the other stores have as horrible service as this store, a big thumb down for customer service and a 0 star for stock up items.

I purchased a discounted tablet because it was an open box. It was a fantastic deal. The box had a geek squad sticker stating that it was in excellent condition and working, so of course I was disappointed when I got home and discovered that it didnt work at all. Trying to get some help I called 3 separate times and was placed on hold for a total of 27 minutes and never received help. Frustrated I went in to get assistance only to find out that the tablet they sold me is a "brick" and doesnt work. Because it was an open box item they will not honor the price they sold it for in allowing me to obtain another one. I am disappointed at the lack service and the fact that they placed their seal of approval on an item they obviously didnt check. I am left to assume that the geek squad there is deceitful and as a store they have no honor. I will never shop at this Best Buy again.

If I could indicate ZERO stars, I would! Two different sales reps with no idea at all what they were selling. Spent $65 only to discover once I got home that I needed more than what was in the box, yet no one in the store bothered to provide me with that information before I left the store ... TWICE in one day! Had to make two trips across town, and now will have to make a third because BOTH USB-to-HDMI adapters that I bought do not work! Attempted to call store three times, endured the computer-driven answering menu three times, got disconnected by the in-store operator twice! Finally spoke with store manager, who could only confirm that the device was not working. Seriously, could these people BE any more incompetent and useless?!?!?

We were helped by a sales representative yesterday about our situation and he was incompetent. Took him 30+ minutes just to look up what he was looking for on the computer. He moved us to three different computers. And when we tried to see if car service would fit us in he took forever to respond to us. He just fiddled on the computer for another 15 minutes then told us he doesnt know and that he will have to go check with the guy doing the services. So he LEFT US STANDING THERE... after 15 minutes slowly dragged for my husband and I looked at each other and we said we were giving him five more minutes. We were done waiting and we left. Horrible service. Never coming back.

I bought a mac computer 6 months ago, and had to turn it for repairs almost three time in the last 6 months. Fraustrated as I spent a great deal of money purchasing it, and needed an efficient system as I run two business and studying for an MBA, I called the manager Ben of the store , he was a star, he helped me efficiently in returning the original Mac, and attaining a new one. He was understanding and went the extra mile to help me be on a system, to complete my business, while was waiting for my new computer. His approach and manner of handling this situation definitely released my stress, his staff was as helpful as well.

Marco in mobile and activation was awesome, he put up with us for the better part of an hour and all we purchased was a 7 dollar flip phone. He was very patient and accomodating and went above and beyond to assist us with the sim card adapter and let us use his phone to call and make sure everything was working properly. Marco is the type of person who makes trips like this worthwhile when we have been putting off looking at phones, he made it very simple and easy and I would highly recommend asking for him at this location.

I love Best Buy, always have, always will. I recently bought a plethora of items there including an imac, hp envy, a bunch of accessories and more. Not only did their pathetically unknowledgeable staff give me erroneous information as to what was compatible with what, but they had the audacity to place me on the "do not return" list which was not only embarrassing but even after removal at a corporate level, continues to plague me. Sadly, I will never shop there again and recommend everyone else do the same.
