I walked in expecting to be able to send a small number of documents to LA, and include a self-addressed pre-paid return envelope to allow them to send them back to me in a few months. A reasonable request, you would think, for a place called "Print & Ship Center". I was greeted by someone who had never heard of doing such a thing, and transferred to the manager almost immediately. The manager confirmed almost immediately that I could do this thing (encouraging!) but explained that since this was Fedex Office, not Fedex, I needed to perform all of this through a self-service process that involved me setting up an account with Fedex (she couldnt do that for me). Not ideal, but OK. 10 minutes later after setting the account up and going through an arduous process at a keyboard myself, I was informed she didnt know if the return label she was planning to print would actually work to return the documents, and that I should call a 1-800 number to FIND OUT MYSELF, from FEDEX (yes, the very place Im sitting in) if that was the case. I gave up and walked to UPS. Version of this story at UPS (1 block away): Walk in, describe what I want to do in the exact same words, quick nod and apology for delaying me for 10 seconds while helping another customer, finished and paying within a minute for the whole thing. Even apologized on behalf of Fedex for the bad service.

I like that one can submit a print request to Kinkos online or email but the service is poor. The site says a confirmation of the job will be sent at least 1 hour after Kinko receives it. I waited 4 hours and didnt receive a confirmation. I called and was told the job was completed. Ok when I went to pick it up, the employee was working with a customer with a large project. There was a line forming with customers like me there to pick up a completed request. The employee never acknowledged us or attempt to ask us what we were in line for. When I tried to ask the employee working the parcel/package if she could assist since she finished with her customers, she replied that she couldnt. After waiting almost 20 minutes and customer #1 still half way through her project, I left in frustration. Very poor customer service at the Millbrae store. I heard the Kinkos employees in San Mateo are more customer service oriented.

I couldnt even get to the shop. It looks like there would be plenty of parking but none in the parking lot, or the adjacent public lot, or the street. I couldnt get my work done due to no parking. Very frustrating.

I got there twice and every time I need to wait for a long time to get helped. The employees are slow-actioned and focus on their things which seem not rush. They dont care about customers.

Fast, reliable service. Staff is generally friendly. Its a big space so its a little difficult to find where things are located. Passport photos are on the expensive side. $16 for two.
