Unfortunately, my first time going to a dealer to attempt to purchase a new car would be TERRIBLE and I would like to thank Honda of Hayward for that. I was browsing online and found a 2015 Honda Civic EX that I really liked located at Honda of Hayward. I drove out to see it for myself and to test ride it. When I arrived I met Ella who was sweet at first. She let me test drive it and afterwords pressured me to start filling out paperwork. I did like the car a lot but I wanted a second pair of eyes to be there with me through the process. I informed her I would come back the next day if the car was still available. She informed the general sales manager named Farooq about this to which he proceeded to come out of the office and tried to pressure me into just starting the process! I stood my ground and he informed me there would be a chance someone else would buy it. Which I was completely okay with and understood the risk. We made an appointment for 9am the next day, which is the time Honda of Hayward opens. Fast forward the next morning at 8:00 am, I called Ella and asked her if the car was still available to which she told me a firm "yes." I drove out to Hayward of Honda myself and my girlfriends family drove in their own separate car. When I had arrived they informed me the car was already sold. To clarify I was not upset that the car was sold but infuriated that I was lied too. Not only was I lied too but I and my girlfriends father drove 30-40 minutes from San Jose for nothing. We not only wasted time but gas and money just to be told the car was not actually there when Ella informed me earlier that it was not sold. All they could offer me was to "look around for a different car," and "Well give you a good price" Obviously I was looking for a specific car and they just tried to push me off onto a different car that I did not want. To top things off, the sales manager Farooq just came outside to basically tell me "I told you someone would buy it" Which angered me even more. I was not upset over the fact the car was sold but that I was lied to in regards to the car being still available. Farooq said it was not his fault even though it is his employees who lied to me. All he said was "Ill talk to them" I do not recommend this place for anyone. They try to haggle you, pressure you into buying a car and just starting the paperwork process. The general sales manager Farooq is unprofessional, uncaring, and unwilling to help. DO NOT COME HERE. Worst first experience at a dealership.

My bf and I called in asking about a Honda we were interested in. We let them know what our budget was and that we werent planning on going over. Since we were driving 3 hours to get there (granted it was on the way since we were on our way to look at another car in San Leandros that we were also interested in) we asked them if they were wiling to work with us and they said "sure just come in!" So we go in and discovered that the Honda had a huge dent on the side but wasnt on the carfax or on the pictures online that were posted by the dealer. Obviously, that was a major concern and turned us away from getting the car because who wants to buy a wrecked car right? Anyway, we asked about the dent and they said they were getting that fixed free of charge. So that somewhat made us reconsider. So after we started to negotiate a price, they started playing their practical sales games with us. They used every sales tactic possible to try to get us to go over our budget when we made it clear we werent planning on going over. It was a total waste of our time. So after they didnt want to budge and give us the price we asked for we told them we wanted to look at the other car so we can make a better decision. The manager then went on to tell us that if we left, he wouldnt give us that price. Basically bullying us into buying the wrecked car. I then asked him if they were still fixing the dent and he said "Oh if we sell you the car for that price, we are not fixing the dent". Totally unprofessional and not to mention rude. After he said that, we left. We ended up buying the other car in San Leandros that we were originally planning on looking at which happened to be the exact same car. But we got it for the price we asked for and DENT FREE! Hassle Free! To conclude, Honda Hayward has terrible customer service (especially from "management"), aggressive sales tactics, unprofessionalism, dont waste your time. These people care more about their commission more than providing customer needs.

Very disappointed on my service visit 6/20/16. I had an appointment for 7.15, arrived there at 7. I noticed two lanes, left lane was empty but it had a big sign on top with an arrow pointing to it that clearly said "Without Appointment", I read it several times to make sure. Since I had an appointment naturally, I went to the right lane. I was 3rd in line. I noticed the first car was empty, obviously left there overnight. Meantime two cars pulled in to the left lane that said "Without Appointment". When the place opened at 7AM, i noticed a service man immediately helping the first car on the left. My friend who was with me at that time, and I voiced out our complaints and said we have an appointment and we were here first. The car that you are attending to is on the lane that says without appointment. He said its first come first serve here. Really? Then what is that sign for, i pointed it out to him. He said again its first come first serve and I will not argue with you. to which i said tear the sign down if you are not going to do your job properly and fairly. He was even so sarcastic as to say, oh and do you want me to attend to the first car on your lane even if he is not here since the car is first in line? Nasty and rude to say the least. I have bought my two cars here and have been coming to this service place for years, since my kids were little. And now they are in their late 20s and mid 30s.! So disappointed to be treated as such. At any rate we did speak with the Manager Chris, who was apologetic about our experience and said he is doing his best to better the procedure in their service department. The service tech who attended to my car George was very helpful, courteous and prompt in calling me about the issues with my car. By the way I did not get the complimentary carwash that I used to get.

I want to thank everyone at Honda Hayward for the wonderful treatment I received while shopping for a new vehicle. Just recently we stopped by to look at a 2017 Pilot elite and were welcomed in the lot by Harith (Ali) Abbas. He showed us the Pilot and answered all of our questions, even when my questions were somewhat puzzling he answered then quite promptly and in great detail, Ali is a wonderful person with a fantastic personality and knows his job well. I enjoyed the experience even further when I got the chance to interact with professionals like Steve Lee and your Finance Manager Alexis Niu, Ali put us in touch with Steve and he and Ali did what it took to get the vehicle purchased from your dealership. Steve’s role was vital to keep me in the game and in getting me to commit that very evening, thanks so much. Alexis was over the top, she got me in and out of finance faster and more satisfied than I was in any other vehicle purchase I have made to date, she explained everything thoroughly and kept me from rethinking the whole transaction (I always have second thoughts at this point in the transactions). Before I was finished she sent me on my way with an extended warranty to boot. You have assembled many great individuals at your dealership with fantastic personalities, in my opinion this is the key to success and it is also very effective in establishing great customer loyalty. I thank all those involved in getting my wife the vehicle of her choice, it’s the perfect color combination and she loves it even more today. We are very happy customers and will be back, it is these type of experiences that make lasting relationships, thank you all so much. Greg
