I just wanted to thank you and the Staff at Cal West motors for an incredible buying experience. I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous BMW 330i Convertible. For all potential customers who may be considering a vehicle purchase from Cal West Motors, let me tell you the truth about my buying experience on 12/12/2014. I arrived at the dealership @ 2pm. I was given a ride by my good friend and neighbor. Upon arrival, the two of us began giving the auto a very intensive inspection. Ten minutes later, Matt Moran, approached and engaged me in a dialog of my concerns with the vehicle. We talked and I agreed to test drive the vehicle to continue the inquiry process. I think I was determined to find every fault and problem with the vehicle I could in the limited amount of time I thought I was going to be there at the dealership. On the test drive I purposely tried to test the overall performance of the car, acceleration, braking, cornering, drivetrain, electrical, and noise. Upon our return to the dealership, Matt complemented me on my effective testing of all aspects of the car. Now, it came time for the negotiation of the deal. Matt and I held a thirty minute conversation about my financing options, overall price, monthly payment, insurance, etc... I was fully expecting not to purchase the vehicle that day, after all, I did not have excellent credit, and I did not have a down payment that day, and only sixty-two dollars in my checking account. The only thing I had in my favor was a long term good paying job. Who in their right mind would let me drive off in a nice vehicle like that?? So, Matt told me he would submit my information to the Finance department and they would do their very best to help me acquire the car. I thought to myself, Umm…I’ll wait, I know the answer already, but I’ll wait. Over the next two hours or so, Matt was very hospitable, including turning up the heat in the office because it was particularly cold that day and evening was fast approaching. I nodded off for a short nap during that time, and when Matt awoke me he had a great deal for the purchase of what would be my next automobile. The financing was at a price point I could afford, the interest rate was FAR better than I expected, and he had an insurance carrier I could go with that day for only a twenty dollar processing fee. Out came the paper work, and about fifteen more signatures, I was now the proud owner of my 2004 BMW convertible!! Just that EAZY!!! Now, I know it was not easy work for the team at Cal West motors who actually did all the hard work in order to get me the car, but I never saw it. All I did was have a little patience while they worked their magic. I walked out of the office and Mike Casey was pulling my car out of detail while assuring me he would take care of any concerns I may have initially with the vehicle, including a referral to a mechanic if needed. I would highly recommend anyone to Cal West Motors for the purchase of a quality used vehicle. My buying experience was fantastic. LISTEN to me when I tell you, if I could get one, SO can YOU!! Very satisfied client, Jerome Newton

I bought a car from them in October of 2009. After 2 days the breaks started slipping. So I took it to a mechanic that specialized in Dodge Durangos & when he was done. The first thing he said was to return it immediately because brakes are part of a safety issue & by California State Law this car should have never left the lot. So immediately faxed over the vehicle inspection to Cal West Motors. I wanted to give them a chance to make this right. After 48 hours no one called me so I called them asked if they received my report and they said yes but they were not going to fix it. So I got in the vehicle brake problem and all drove down to the car lot asked for my money back and there attitude was like whatever. So I told them you sold this car illegally and Im returning the vehicle and they said thats fine. So I called the finace company Lobel Finicial explained what happened and they said that was fine that they would just cancel the contract. I said thank you and that was it. Now let me remind you this is January 6th 2010 I never received anything more in regards to this vehicle. So on January 2nd 2010 I went to a car lot to try to buy a car I was even pre approved online. So on January 4th they said everything looked good and to come down to the lot on January 5th and lets do the paper work. Well I got down there and they said Im sorry but we can not finace you because you have a repossesion. I immediately said no i dont there 2 things I do not have on my credit report is a repossesion & a eviction because it will screw you. They said that Lobel Finicial repossed the vehicle on 12/22/2009 and I owe them 10,000.00 dollors. So as to my surprise I was really upset. Well I got ahold of Lobel the finace company and they said they reported the repossesion by accident. What Cal West did was after is after I called Lobel about returning the vehicle Lobel contacted Cal West and Cal West said they worked it out and there was no problem. Cal West went so far as to represent My Husband & I to Lobel & they made 2 car payments but were they screwed up so that Lobel would pay them for the car is they re sold the car to a new owner went thru a different bank. Well the people they sold it to brought the car back for the same issue. Well Cal West had not tranferred car owner ship out of our name yet so they stopped paying Lobel so Lobel repossed the car 12/22/2009, but when lobel did the Dmv stuff thats how they busted Cal West. So I have to call Lobel Finace and there legal department is going to have to repossesion removed. I want to know who will fix my credit score. 4 days ago my score was 702 & now its 469. So guess what Im reporting Cal West to the Better Business Bureau and Cal West I will see you in court. Oh by the way they never gave me my money back.

After a stressful, unsuccessful day looking for cars all over the Bay Area, we decided to try one last stop to find the car that we were looking for, a Ford Focus Sedan. We pulled up CarGurus on the phone and the first car that came up on the screen was the car that we were looking for and was located at Cal West Motors. We called them and asked if they could wait 20 minutes for us to get there. Brian told us that they close at 7pm but he would wait for us as we are from Monterey County and dont drive to the Bay Area very often. Upon arrival Brian greeted us with a smile, he already had the car ready for a test drive. Before we started the test drive, we examined the car and it was in great shape. He directed us on a long test drive where we had a great view of the area from the top of a hill. When we came back from the test drive we started talking about financing, Brian submitted my information but, as it was late already (around 8:30pm), we didnt get an answer on the spot. We agreed that he would call us the next morning as soon as he had the approval(s) from the bank(s). On the next day, around 11:30am, my financing was approved! We got in the car and drove 2h from Monterey to Cal West where Brian, one more time, greeted us with a smile. After approximatly 1h signing all the papers, he handed me the keys to my very first car, a 2008 Ford Focus! The whole process was easy, no pressure at all, and a great deal. Brian took care of us and helped us with the entire process. If youre looking for a great car shopping experience (that sometimes can be EXTREMELY stressful depending on where you go,) I totally recommend Cal West! Thiago and Alexis.
