I concur with some of the others who had a bad experience at CPR in Elk Grove. I have a Samsung S4. Back in December, I dropped the phone and the screen cracked. I took it to CPR. They said they could either replace just the glass, or replace the front/top housing. They said it was better to replace the top housing (not sure if this is correct terminology, but basically, its the entire top part of the phone) and that this what the manufacturer does when they repair them. So, I went with the more expensive option. This was on December 22, 2015. They charged me $187.79. The phone worked great until January 22, 2016 (just about 1 month). First the screen started fading and I could barely see what was on the screen. The next day, it was even worse, and then the following day, the entire screen was black. Although the phone was on, I couldnt see anything. So, since it has only been 30 days since they repaired the phone (at a charge of $187.79), I went back to CPR and showed them the phone thinking that any reputable business is going to warranty their repairs. Well, they told me that there was a microscopic crack in the screen and that is why it is no longer working. I told them that if there is a crack (which I could not see), that it was there when they gave me this (refurbished, second hand part) and so they should replace it. They said they would do the following: Not charge me for the labor to repair it again, and give me a 10% discount on another part (the top housing). So, to fix it again, 1 month later, my cost would only be about $150-$160. This is after I had just paid $187.79 to fix it the first time. This repair had been so recent, it hadnt even showed up on my credit card statement yet. That was the best they could do. Total cost would now be about $350 ($187.79 + $160). So, if you think the way they handled this, is the way any reputable business would have handled it; if you think this is an example of good customer service, the kind you would want; if you think you would have been happy if this situation had been you; then try CPR Cell Phone Repair of Elk Grove. Fortunately, I was able to go to my cell phone carrier (which I should have done in the first place) and they took care of everything for me. I told them what had happened at CPR. They looked at the phone and said they could get me a replacement at no charge (because I had the insurance). Since there was no visable damage, I didnt have to pay my deductible. Now this is an example of customer service. They showed me that they definitely VALUE AND APPRECIATE THEIR CUSTOMERS..

I came here to get my power button fixed on my galaxy s2 phone. The original lasted me over year and half, and it was used when I got it from my sister. I was told by Jess Herbert the front employee, it would be $75.00 but it would come with a 6 month warranty so I went with them. A week after I got my phone fixed the power button stopped working again. I took it back a second time and they told me its not their power button but my phone has a manufacturer defect where all the power buttons will have problems. Then during my check out all of a sudden my sim card wasnt working. So they told me I need to call my carrier and on the check out receipt he wrote down no sim card. I call Tmobile and my account was fine. I put my sim card in my sisters phone and it worked fine. I called cell phone repair back and spoke with Zack, and another employee named Tom, and they told me that it would be $35.00 inspection fee since the simcard port is not related to the power button or under warranty. I was so suspicious at this point, i took my phone to RC repair in Davis CA. They opened and saw that the Simcard port was completely detached, and the power button was never replaced but simply adjusted. I was really outrageous. I went back and spoke to them and this time they told me since I opened the phone at all, or had it opened by someone else it voided out the warranty. After this I contacted BBB and got a call from manager Karline. She said she was also the co owner of the store. When I told her my case, she said she will not give me a refund and I voided my warranty, but she did offer me free estimate on my phone to look at it again, but nothing would be under warranty and I would have to pay for everything again. I ended up calling my credit card company and filling a claim for fraud, and based on their findings of fraud, they refunded me the full amount. I am currently a marketing student and will put every effort in making the public aware of their fraudulent activities committed by this company to me and potentially others. Especially to senior citizens who do not know anything about cell phones or technology and will easily get scammed.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR TIME OR WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY. THE WARRANTY IS A COMPLETE SCAM THAT LEAVES YOU COMPLETELY UNPROTECTED. THE MANAGER NEEDS HIS EYES CHECKED. I WOULD START BY TELLING HIM THAT HES WEARING TWO DIFFERENT SHOES. BE SMART AND RUN FROM THIS DUMP. YOU ARE BETTER OFF CALLING A MOBILE GUY FROM CRAIGSLIST. These guys are equvalant to one of those hack and jack you over the head auto repair shops. Took my iphone6 in for a simple repair and it cost me almost as much as a new by the time they were done adding more parts after three phone calls. Then come to find out that Do Not Repair things with oem or equivalent parts or proceedures. After having them repair the shotty work they performed poorly three times over two months i was none the less frustrated when 11 days after the third repair it did the exact thing. I have since moved from the area and can just stop in twice a month for my routine service. Oh they say its covered by warranty but dont have something else happen because anything else other than what they repaired voids so said warranty. The manager even tried to charge me to fix a problem that they never corrected the first time. Now two days after the manager inspected my phone to verify that i didnt drop it in water the screen now doesnt work at all. Way to go boss. You owen a company that run by a few inexperienced basement dwelling leaches that use a toothpic for a screwdriver and they call themselves technicians. When did watching youtube instructional videos and ebaying some crap jap. Knock off replacement parts become hands on training? To anyone with a good experience there Im sorry but they screwed you too.

This is one of the worst experiences i have ever seen the telephone person are ok. But for Service and Quality for get it forget it!. Not to mention pricing they way over charge me for parts and never fixed my phone at all in fact the ruined my phone and tried to blame me for the the problem ! This place is highly un-recommendable ! Please explore your option before going to a place with just an attractive name there are so many better cell phone repair companys that have concurred with me that it was not my fault at all on all these problems so now i am out 700.00 for a new phone..
