I took my wifes portable into see what they could do to make it faster. Its not clear that it ever got faster but they did load a bunch of "trial" security software on it. We already had firewall, virus, spam, malware, spyware and other security software on it so I think this was wasted effort. Also, the "trial" software starts asking for money after awhile and that is irritating. To be fair we ask a lot of computer technitians. It is probably unfair to ask one shop to do performance tuning, security, hardware repair, Windows problem resolution and so on. However, the shop should probably tell us what they are good at before we even start the whole process. In this case they had a hammer and that appeared to make us a nail.

2 days ago Iam not a pc person, took old & new tower to have info & pictures transferred, 95 mb & 14 files were transferred cost $90 ,couldnt find pics ,called they took control of my pc and said its done, still no pics. Finally 2 weeks later my friend a pc prof took alook at everything , he put both pcs on desk ,put thumbdrive in old pc downloaded in 10 mins, put thumbdrive in new tower uploaded in 3 mins, 4 GB, 306 folders .wala,. Granted they down loaded some stuff ,but I paid to transfer everything, last time I talked to them they wanted me to bring the towers back, do u know how long it took me to hook up everything,i didnt have a 13 yr old in the house, so I just said why bother with them.

Dont count on this business to answer any phone calls. I was sent directly to an answering machine during regular business hours—tried calling twice.
