They dont always have items on stock if you are looking for big items such as exercise bikes. The staff is helpful. Trying on clothes is complicated since customers must go to front desk and wait for cashier to be free so they can walk you to dressing room and unlock the door. You cant go out for another item or different size since the door locks behind you. One dressing room. Shoe service is slow.

Came here from South Cal to buy pepper spray for my niece that goes to Berkeley. This Big5 hide their pepper sprays behind the counter. When asked to see it, the associate gave us 2 to look at. But she still has 5 different other options there that didnt let us see. Feels awkward when other people needs to pay, but weve to stay in front of them there figuring out which one to buy.

I go out of my way and drive 10 miles to go to this store because they have more of a variety of items and sometimes better prices. Even though theres a big 5, 3 blocks away from me. I bought a mossberg 715t here and it was $60 cheaper than 3 other stores. i love this place and will continue to come here for my camping, paintball, air gun, and real gun purchases

Its a chain sporting goods store, so you cant expect much. However, at this particular location the service is pretty poor. the store looks closed when youre going through the aisles because there is NO ONE there. No customers, no employees, no one. Its Big5 so they have Big5 prices which you can get online, but the store itself is depressing.

Their goods are untouchable. I wanted to check the item before buy it when I was looking for the item the lady said to me "dont touch it so rude. I have never seen this kind of rudeness in other groceries. it was may be 1 year ago and still I can,t forget this kind of behaviour.

Im so used to the mess that is the Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Daly City, that this store in El Cerrito was a breath of fresh air. Big 5 prices without the Big 5 headache of the other unruly locations! Its relatively spacious with everything in its place.

Go to store for athletic gear, camping, sporting, fishing and licences for fishing as well. Exercise equipment, skateboarding. An outdoorsmans quick pick with great prices.
