Poorly managed shop. While in Scottsdale on business I stopped in to check out the shop. I have been accused of being a "gear hound"! After trying on several helmets, and with Steves recommendation, I decided on the LAS Supreme in its unnecessary but fancy protective case. Expensive, but why not! They didnt have it in stock, but I like to support the "brick and mortar" shops. Amazon would have been less expensive, but we need the local shops to stay in business (to try gear on!) I asked Steve if he would order it and ship it to me in Tennessee. He said the helmet listed for $375.00 but because he was putting together a large order would sell me the helmet for $300 plus $10 shipping. I placed the order and he charged my credit card the $300 for the helmet. When it arrived it was not the LAS Supreme but the LAS Victory ($249.00 list price, $169 on Amazon) I called and talked to Ryan to let them know of the error. He said they did not have any of the Supremes as ordered. He appologized and we agreed that I would return the helmet and he would refund my charges once the helmet was received. Six weeks after FedEx confirmed the helmet had been received, I still had not received a credit. I called and spoke with Ryan again. He said he would check into it. He called me back and confirmed that they had indeed received the helmet, but would have to call me back to process the refund. Very long story...four months later with at LEAST a half a dozen phone calls to the shop, I resorted to disputing the charges with my Credit Card. Today my card holder called and was able to get Scott to process a refund, but with a "20% restocking fee" deducted! Your error...four months of hassle...and you charge ME a $60 "restocking fee"??

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS STORE!!! Bought a set of handmade mountain bike wheels here - they were very high end. The rear wheel was built with a White Industries hub that needed servicing from time to time. Their mechanic showed me how to do this, but he showed me the wrong procedure (I found the right way from White Industries). After I found the axle was bent, I took the proof into the shop and showed them. They asked me what their mechanics name (I couldnt remember), but I described him, and they had the nerve to deny that this mechanic even worked there. I think the guy I had it out with was Tony. What a d*&$%bag. Horrible customer service. Frankly, Im surprised they can stay in business. Go to Landis or Domenics if you want real service and expertise.

Spent nearly $100 for flat repairs and flat prevention items. Bike tire went flat within a month of having the work done. Brought the bike back to these guys thinking they could do something to help me out. Found out otherwise , as they evidently "do not cover thorn punctures." I understand we have an abundance of thorns in our desert region, but I would think that they would make an exception to satisfy the customer here, considering the minimal time that went by. Ended up purchasing a replacement tube at WalMart, which is what I should have done in the first place....lesson learned. Will not be going back to this shop in the future, nor will I recommend them to anyone.

As much as I hate to give any small business a poor review, I feel its my duty to report my experience with Airpark Bikes so that others dont expect too much from this store. I purchased a $3,000 ebike from them a year ago and was promised a throttle accessory at no charge. Despite my calling them almost monthly for at least 8 months, they never returned my calls and never got me the part. Every time I called, it was: "I ordered it - Ill check on it." About 6 months after purchasing the bike, I accidentally broke a brake handle so I returned to them for a replacement. They said theyd order it, but, again, never called me back. These are the reasons for my 1 star review.

Great local bike shop in a pretty cool shopping area. All the guys are friendly and professional. I like it that they give employment and learning opportunity to the kids with a passion for bikes and riding. It is the whole sense of community that exists in this shop. They have always taken care of me all the friends I have referred. Not sure what the bad reviews here are for, my experiences have always been 5 star. Steve and Jay are always helpful and their prices are less than several other places I have done business with in the past. Im happy theyre in my hood. :)

Its easy to miss this place, very low key outside then you open the front door and Whoa !! .. I agree with the previous reviewers. This place is a dream factory! .And your dreams materialize here. I was helped by JAY very cool guy, great sense of humor and thinks outside the box . (i m pretty stoked about my tallboy alloy ) I shop online alot .almost always. Not this time. Dont let the upscale looks fool you their prices make online purchases pointless and yes i drove there all the way from the west valley.

I have been there only a couple of times and I have gotten great service. The owner treats you right because he knows what real service is. I have visited other bike shops that come off as elitists, with horrible customer service. They could be super close with great prices but I would still choose to drive all the way to Scottsdale if it means getting great service. I know a bunch of people that live on the West side that drive to Airpark simply because of the treatment that they get.

If only they would have returned my phone calls... oh yeah and not left me standing around in the showroom with my thumb up my butt waiting for someone to wait on me.... Never had the chance to work with them because the service, or lack there of, was so bad up front. Just not seeing all the hype here guys??? I was referred to APB by a couple buddies and then after discussing these issues it comes that yeah maybe they had the same issues once or twice.

My buddy recommended this shop to me. He built a Hard tail Mountain bike from the ground up. His explanation of the shop was as follows, Bring your drool cup because you will need it! That was an understatement. The shop was amazing and the inventory is unmatched, Anything you want for any type of bike. I will never go anywhere else. We have a whole group of us that have become Santa Cruz junkies and Airpark is the place to build your new bike.

I recently moved to Scottsdale and wanted to get back on a bike since recovering from my kidney transplant. A friend recommended Airpark and Im happy he did. Steve and his crew were so friendly and welcoming, it was like hanging out with old buddies. The shop itself is amazing, with an unbelievable inventory of bikes, gear and accessories. Ill soon be back to start building a Santa Cruz Mountain Bike. This is the only shop for me!
