This place seemed at first to be awesome. It plays the local card. Then come to find out there are over 50 locations and they sell a lot of Canadian food. I liked that they sold these dog treats I found at a farmers market called Happy Tails Barkery. The treats are made out of things that I wouldnt mind eating. ie: cheese, bacon, and like chickpea flour. And oatmeal beef bites. Peanut butter things. I dont remember all of the ingredients but my dog goes crazy over them. So i noticed they had a pound bag at Pet Planet on Ray and Dobson (where I used to buy my cat and dog food). $17.99 + tax. I purchased it then went home and gave a couple to my dog that evening. The next morning I went to give her another one and something flew out into my face! I open it again and another flying bug flew out. Poured them all on a plate and there were many bugs (2 different types) and a bunch of webbing/nests. It grossed me out thoroughly and my papillon was mad because she didnt get a treat. So I emailed happy tails Barkery and she was on her way to make a delivery to the store on Chandler blvd, so she left a replacement pound bag of treats there for me. I had told her it was the store In chandler, not on Chandler blvd so we had a little bit of a miscommunication on both parts. So i told her that store was far from me so she called them and the Pet Planet on chandler and 40th st said they would deliver it to the ray and dobson store the next day which was cool. So that day I was in the area of the ray store and dropped in to give them the bag with bugs and ask for a refund. The lady working was Mima the "team captain". She was very rude. After she called the lady from HTB, she said that she would not refund my money and that it was happy tails Barkery s fault because they would not reimburse her. If a restaurant or grocery store served or sold me food that had bugs in it Im sure they would have no problem replacing the item and refunding me my money for having to make extra trips there and to save their reputation. She does not care about customer service. A grocery store would not tell me to contact their distributor for a refund. She badmouthed HTB saying they dont even like carrying their products. They dont have expiration dates and the lady said that the ray store hadnt ordered pound bags in over a year so they were old. If you are a store selling a product and they dont have expiration dates, you should ask the company how long the shelf like is so you can make sure everything you are swlling is safe to eat. It makes me wonder how old all of their food us and all the treats they have sitting out everywhere are. After arguing with me for 5 to 10 minutes, Mima writes me a $10 credit on her business card and puts that it expires in 2 weeks (12/1/15). So i call the next day to see if the treats were delivered to the ray store as planned. The guy that answered said that there was a note saying that something happened and the treats got delivered to the wrong store and they were not sure where as of yet. So i went on vacation for 3 days. I get back and I called yesterday to see if they had gotten it figured out yet. They same guy says he will call me back in a little while. He calls back and says his manager says that the treats were never delivered and that they were still at the chandler blvd store. He said I can either go pick them up there or wait for them to be delivered to their store, but he has no idea when that will be. So I call the chandler store and they told me that they tried to deliver them the day they were supposed to, but that the ray store told them that "I was going to pick them up at the Chandler blvd store because I had said that I was no longer going to shop at the ray store." I never said that. The store is way closer to my house than the other one. Now I dont want to go in there ever again which was her plan all along I assume. I will not use the $10 coupon. And I will tell anyone who cares about there pets ,DO NOT shop there. I emailed their corporate site and have had no response.

I really want to give this place 5 stars but I cant. Let me explain. When I first came here there was a lady who was incredibly helpful, sweet, knowledgeable, and friendly. My wife and I had gone to other locals and had a bad experience, so we decided to check this place out.We got everything we needed and felt this was a great place and it was going to be our new store. The past 3 time I have been there someone else has been working and because of them we are never coming back. Rude, doesnt know anything about anything in the store, not helpful and spacey. H.A.N.K was more helpful then she was. Just know this place is awesome ,but beware of one of the girls that works there..sheesh.

The new people are awesome! Glad because this location is close to home. Sara and Julie really seemed to know what theyre talking about and made suggestions like they actually use this stuff for their own dogs. Very happy!

Fun and Friendly Staff. They were able to answer some questions about cat food for us and helped find eco-friendly toys and treats that also serve as enrichment and vitamins for my 3 little fur babies

Have been.coming here for years. Not coming back. Employees dont know anything and they dont have Grooming anymore. It doesnt look like it did before. Shelves are empty and poor customer service.

Love this place. Bring my fur baby here to wash at the self wash. They are one of the few places that sells her favorite all natural treats.
