I have gone to this store only for a cpl weeks now (brand new puppy) but I recently went and rented a steam cleaner only to be told upon return that I needed my receipt in order to get my deposit back. Well I wasnt charged a deposit by the kid who checked me out during the day with my rental nor was I told I needed to keep my receipt. Then they asked me if I cleaned it. Well I did rinse it out and returned it cleaner then it was when I rented it for sure (it was pretty dirty/nasty when I got it). The lady proceeded to give me paper towel s and told me if I didnt clean the brushes out right there theyd charge me a cleaning fee. So Im supposed to kneel down in the middle of the line and clean out these brushes right here. It was humiliating and not necessary. Had the kid who checked out the rental to me mentioned anything - had he done his job - I would have cleaned it even better out prior to returning it - no actually had I looked at the brushes I would have refused the dirty machine they rented me in the first place. Seriously if you cant go over the details of a rental upon renting it out dont disrespect me like that! Also actually train your staff and clean things in your store better to begin with (or at all) Avoid this store as there are plenty of other places to purchase your pet needs from that will treat you like a person and not disrespect you.

To start i was greeted walking through the door. The front register was being serviced but i was still recognized. I gestured to the register for assistance in the fish department which beat me there from a side room. My intention was to exchange a heater that didnt seem to be working. The employee tested my water for free and proceed to deduce why my ammonia level was so high. She then walked me through the process of how to clean around the gravel with both in store products and home methods since i was tight on money. Once understood she explained my fish should not need a heater due to the species and advised i return the item instead of exchanging it. The employee in my best interest returned a $51 sale that i did not need. I am more than grateful since we are between pay checks at the moment. I will continue to shop this store roughly 5 miles away then the one right next to my work.

The PetSmart Hotel is horrible. I took my dog there for months and never realized how awful it truly was until I started taking my dog to Gilbert Dogs (also have a Chandler location). My dog is a German Shepherd who has separation anxiety and any time he would bark or get antsy they would put him away in his kennel. They were slow during check in and check out. I take him now to Gilbert Dogs and there is such a difference in the customer service, time spent playing, and attention he gets. They dont keep dogs in kennels unless they eat which I think is fantastic. They have great rates and great deals if you take your dog often. They do boarding too! My dog loves going to Gilbert dogs! I even heard that my dog was mistreated when he was at PetSmart but didnt find out until after he was already gone. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO PETSMART HOTEL!!!!!!!!

We went in there to get suggestions for our pitbull who was shedding terribly and what we thought was dander issues. The associate who helped us told us it wasnt dander but his skin. It was very bad. He asked us what we were feeding him and when he heard he suggested a better quality of food. We purchased the food after he pointed out the better qualities and ingredients. We came home and slowly integrated the new healthier food, gave him a bath with a moisturizing shampoo, rubbed some almond oil on him and omg! No more shedding of skin and hair! This associate saved us probably hundreds on potential vet bills! So grateful! Thank you!

The staff ranges from overzealous salespeople to apathetic and inpatient. There are a good number of staff that are helpful, but the others are the ones that leave the largest impression. We were not a fan of the training classes (despite paying for six weeks, we quit after three) because we didnt like the sales pushing or the trainers attitude. Still, the rate for classes was fair. The groomers were better, but seemed a little irritated with the dogs (it was the end of the day and no one would sit still). Otherwise, the store always has the products I go there to buy, and there are always discounts or coupons.

Petsmart hotel was....different. First time users and last at petsmart. We have 2 dogs, a pitbull and a lab mix. They told us pitbulls werent allowed in the playtimes with other dogs which angered me a bit but I kept my composure. Then when we picked up in the morning, my lab smelled like she rolled in a dead animal or something, they didnt bother to wash her up to get rid of the smell, Im guessing??? Both were holding their pee in for way too long, staff was nice though....it was just a bad experience for us.

There are two or three associates there that are helpful. However, between the manager that sits in his office despite clearly seeing you need help and the other associates that look you squarely in the face while you are standing near the fish and obviously need assistance (unless fish and crickets are now "self serve") and still walk right past you (not once, not twice but THREE times), despite that this store is convenient and that Ive been going here for YEARS - Im at the point of going somewhere else.

Grooming department is horrible. I have been bringing my dog to petsmart of various locations for years and this is the only one he doesnt like. They never clean his ears or trim his nails and they tried to tell me that my dog was aggressive. When i told them that this is the only place i have ever had problems i suggested someone there had been messing with my dog and everyone acted very defensive about the idea. Its too fishy and i wont be bringing my pet there again.

Everything my dog loves and needs under one roof. She loves going to the hotel and playing with the dogs in doggy day care. She couldnt look or smell better than after leaving their grooming salon. The vets office makes sure she is healthy. I get to spoil her with all the treats and toys! Love the seasonal/themed merchandise. And of course her core food is purchased here as well! Everything at your finger tips!

Staff is great very friendly and helpful, but merchandise is often messy and mis-marked. I purchased a bowl stand for a dog that had small rubber "feet". Out of the 3 stands of my selected style available, all were dusty and only one had all four rubber feet. It rang up more than expected. Upon getting it home, I discovered it was very scuffed and scratched.

My seven-year-old Chihuahua has never had a better experience. She allowed Isabella to not only bathe her but clip her long nails and grind them down as well as brush her teeth and blow dry her hair. She reassured me that Abby was fine the whole time, a report that Ive never gotten before. Thank you PetSmart grooming!
