I’m normally not one to write a review unless it is well deserved. It’s rare to find great customer service and help in major retailers these days. I must say that my experience at Pet Smart “Store # 1900” has been the best Ive ever received from any retail company. The moment I entered the store, I was greeted with a friendly hello from “Dione”. Now I must say that Dione had an exceptional attitude and got the vibe that she really enjoys her job and loves to help people and pets. She did a great job connecting with me and genuinely wanted to help. She was able to answer my questions and was very knowledgeable about multiple products and manufacturers. Dione also provided me with her personal life experiences when recommending a product. While I was walking out to my car, I thought to myself, wow I’ve never been treated that way in a large retail store. She made my experience feel as if it was a mom and pop shop and I will forever be a committed long term customer of Pet Smart because of her. Ive worked a managerial position in retail for over 8 years and never came across someone that has exceeded all my expectations in customer service. I wish I could have her on my team. If I was in the position to give her a bonus I would but instead I will be posting this all over the internet, hoping it reaches management at Pet Smart. Please give her some sort of recognition for her efforts. Thanks Dione!

Worst customer service for a pet store. The fact that I never bother reviewing things online shows how bad this place is. The employee was rude from the start when we walked in the door and after waiting about 10 minutes refused to sell me a $4 fish because I had a small 10 gallon tank. Even though I am a long time fish keeper, and some of my fish have been kept over 10 years and I also have 160 gal tanks, I went along with the discussion for a bit to tell me why I cannot have this fish in a starter 10g tank. The fish I was trying to buy was well researched prior to going to the store, and it is a species I am familiar with. I wanted to see the reason why one cannot start off with a tank and upgrade as the fish grow. The employee got really nasty about it, in a way that I would never imagine a retail customer service person interact with a paying customer. By the way, according to PetSmarts own website for this fish "Tank Setup: 10+ gallons" Do yourself a favor.. drive a few miles down the road and shop at one of the other pet stores. You will find the same products and NICER people to provide you service. I will not spend my money at this Val Vista store anymore.

this was my first time going to this petsmart and my last. as i walked in, none of the employees greeted me or said welcome. the only lady that greeted my dog was another customer. i had came to have my dog groomed and nobody directed me in the right direction. the grooming employees were not very welcoming either and told me that he would be done in less than 2 hours. as i was shopping none of the employees were walking around and were staying up front talking. it took the groomers 3 hours to finish with my dog and when i had came back to pick him up the employees decided to ask me if i found everything alright as i was headed out of the door. not to mention my dog looked very scared and eager to get out of their doors.

Meh. Middle of the road average PetSmart. I only come here because its close to my house. I went in the other day and I assumed they were open because the doors opened. I walked around grabbing what I need and didnt see anyone the whole time. when I got to the counter their was no one their. I wandered around for a bit looking for someone. finally found to empolyees and I asked for some help. they stared at me like I was from another planet until one finally said, "we arent open yet. ill be with you in a little bit". I waited around for another 15 mins before finally being checked out. strangest encounter in a petsmart yet

We have a dog that is a really REALLY nervous girl. Because of that, she has never had a good grooming. Her one previous attempt at having her nails clipped ended in a very messy disaster. But between her nails and unruly hair, it was time to bite the bullet and take her in. What a relief! Amanda did her grooming beautifully by starting slowly on the floor with her and winning our scared dogs trust. She was truly amazing and got our girl cleaned, clipped, and her nails done quickly and with love. I would highly recommend Amanda for any pup based on the way she handled our "high maintenance" dog!

Went to pick up an online order only to find they only had one of the items. Employees tried to tell me I wasnt charged for the second one so I had to open my credit card info to show them I had in fact already paid for it. After that I wanted to look around even though it was close to closing time. They came and told me I had to leave because they were closed but it wasnt even 9 pm yet. Sad customer service. I would recommend trying another petsmart location.

My wife and I have walked into the little room they have 3 separate times in an attempt to find the perfect companion. We have yet for anyone to say anything to us. In one instance, 2 staff members were in the room (and its VERY small), saw us come in, made eye contact, then turned around and hid behind the divider. Why have dogs if they arent interested in adopting them out? We wont go back. 3rd strike and Im done.

Horrible! GOT a call that our 6.lbs Maltese was cut by the groomer and they had to take her to Urgent Vet to stich her up. Top it all off they want us to pay for all of it, you Fk kidding me! POS! Lucky I stayed in my car or I would have started a riot in that store! Beware of all the rookie teenage kids working there being called Groomers!

Very friendly! And the other review about the dog room and it being small, you have the wrong store. This particular one doesnt have a room for dog adoptions. Over all I am pleased with my shopping experience here! I love bringing in my dog. He loves the attention he gets.

Took my dog in tonight and she needed her nails done and has been having a hard time walking and they got a large carpet put my dog on it and help me get my dog out. Best customer service ever the girls were so wonderful tonight couldnt be happier

Good customer service but didnt like the groomers for my hyper dog. Found a more experienced, loving, patient place. Sales on dog items are good. Knowledgeable staff on animal items.

Crappy hair cut for $45 bucks. Shaved my westie all the way down. Really sucked. Now his coat is going to grow in jacked up. The groomers were also very cold and unfriendly.
