The employees here are top-notch; on multiple visits to the store, no less than four employees have approached me during each visit to see if there was anything that could do to help me find what I needed. Each employee -- clearly older and experienced in the hardware business -- knew his stuff and was interested in helping me find the best option. One even told me the name of another local store -- the larger Waukegan Ace on Lewis -- when I couldnt find what I needed at this location. Thats classy. No inexperienced high school kids here just passing away time to make a little money like at other stores. I dont normally write reviews of local businesses, but the quality of service here compelled me to recognize this business. The Waukegan Ace probably has a greater variety of products, but the service here is unbeatable -- no employee at the Waukegan Ace even asked if I needed help. Nice job, Zion Ace.

Living in Zion this place is great. Always very helpful, informative and almost always have what I need to get the job done. I also rented tools and equipment with no problems. I will admit I go up to K-town when I have a lot to buy and think I can save money. But when I just need a few items, need it right now, or being dumb forgot something on my list. This is the place. Plus it saves me gas money!

Ace has been my go-to hardware store since 1970. It was originally called Leader Hardware, but the same family has run it. Always helpful people that know what your asking for and can help you make decisions when in doubt.
