I just wanted to take 5 minutes and post a very positive review for CPR of Sarasota on University. I recently had to buy a new iPhone (I bought an iPhone7 Plus) because my iPhone6 was having power and start-up issues. I was getting no power to the phone and thought that I had a serious issues it. The Apple store looked at it and said my power button was “spongy” and was going bad. They said they don’t do repairs on phones out of warranty so I given my circumstances I decided to just buy a new iPhone7 Plus. Today, I was with a friend and showed him my dead iPhone. He looked it over and tried some things to see if he could get it to start up. Dead. He told me it might be my battery. As we were going to lunch at Panera Bread (next door to CPR), he suggested that we stop into CPR real quick and see if they could tell us what they thought might be the problem. Remember, I was recently as the APPLE store and didn’t get much from my visit. So we went into CPR and spoke to Elliot. He listened to our explanation of the problem and said it might be either a dead battery or the power charging port issue. We asked how much that would cost. He quoted me $60 for the battery replacement and if the charging port was bad it would be an additional $20. If it wasn’t the battery but was the charging port, it would be $60. Basically if they were changing the battery and had to also do the port, it would only be an extra $20 since they already would have the phone apart so it would save me a little if both of the repairs had to be done. He said if it was something very simple that he could figure out and didn’t require any parts replacement he would just fix it real quick and “hand me the phone back” and not charge me anything. So I went ahead and signed the repair work order. While I was doing that, the manager suggested we just wait since they could open the phone in 2 minutes and see if it’s the battery or the charging port of both. So I waited. In less than 2 minutes, Elliot came out and showed me a loose screw (very tiny) that had lodged in the circuit board and chips and that the screw was the culprit to my problem. He put the screw back in to the proper hole and put my phone back together. It worked perfectly! It was simply a loose screw. He didn’t charge me anything for the repair. I am thrilled that my phone is fixed and quite honestly had I gone to them before I bought my new phone, I wouldn’t have had to spend the extra $30 a month for a new iPhone7. Had Elliot walked out and said “it’s your battery” I would have believed it and paid the $60. He could have been dishonest and ripped me off. It’s sad that sometimes we don’t trust others but we have all been burned by businesses that rip us off and do unnecessary repairs to charge us for a repair that was never done. That’s why I am taking the time to write this review. This is a HONEST business with GOOD people and I will return here again should I have any problems with my APPLE products. If your phone is having issues, you should try this place first. You’ll get a rapid answer to your problem without having to leave your phone for 3 days and be worried what it’s going to cost you while you wait for someone to e-mail you or call and tell you the bad news. I highly recommend this business and I am ecstatic about the outcome of what I thought was going to be a $60 to $80 repair, or potentially more. They are knowledgeable, honest, and fast. What more would you expect from ANY business? They asked me to write a review to show my appreciation for their competent and courteous service and I told them I would write one as soon as possible. Do yourself a favor and see CPR at this location should you have any phone issues. Their prices are very reasonable and they know what they are doing. And, as I said before, they are HONEST. These guys fixed what my local verizon store, verizon customer service, as well as Best Buy, could NOT do!! My old phone died...upgraded to a new phone...only to be told that all of my contacts and photos could not be transferred to my new one...basically I was told they were lost. But CPR gave me hope and, after leaving my old dead phone with "Glen" overnight...he was able to solve the problem!!! OH happy day!! Thank you so very much Glen...I HIGHLY recommend this store!! Never give up!!!

Quick and courteous service. Went to 3 places looking for someone to replace my iPad screen. All 3 were expensive and the assocuates were not friendly and helpful. CPR cell phone repair blew me away with there pergessionalism and helpful and friendly attitudes . They were quick and affordable. Brought a iphone 6 to this store and was very pleased by the friendly staff and the excellent service. My screen was replaced in only an hour as i waited. phone looked brand new. Id recommend this place to anyone looking to have their phone fixed!!!!!!!
