I had them replace my LCD on my HTC Evo because water damage had left dead white spots. Initially they told me the part would take a week to order. A week later, they didnt have the part and needed to take apart my phone to check what part they needed. When the part came in, they changed the LCD. After I left the store I noticed the front casing a complete crack by the volume button. I called them and they said it was like that before. It wasnt. Then he tried to play it off like it was a minor fracture that completely broke when he took my phone apart. If true, it still makes it his fault, unless he would have pointed it out first and said well this might happen. To me, thats just bad customer care. I admit my phone had some signs of wear, but now it looks like I dropped it down a flight of stairs. That didnt turn out to be the only crack. There are now two others around the outside housing that were also not there before. To make matters worse, theres a load of dust between the LCD and digitzer. So its like having a permanently dirty screen. Also the front housing isnt completely sealed, so I now have light shining from cracks from around the edge of the phone. Then if thats not enough the front camera has something, maybe moisturen that completely blurs the camera. If you want your things fixed properly, I suggest you stay away from this backroom shop and go to a professional. I think any tech-layman would have more care and do a better job if they got the parts and did their own work. Thats what Im doing to fix their mistakes. Also Im convinced that they write their own reviews to pad their rating. Take for example a 1star rating followed by two 5star ratings in the same day. One of which is by Nick one of their repair guys. Totally bogus!

I unfortunately am an at&t carrier. I currently have a Samsung Impressions I purchased a little over six month ago. I recently needed a replacement LCD screen and was hoping to at least get my contacts from my phone. Taking it into at&t (specifically the 3902 E. Washington Ave just another buffet style service store) which was a complete waste of time, energy and absolutely no help at all. I happen to have a friend who worked at the Einstein Wireless store in the adjacent strip mall (next to Pre Played) and thank goodness I did. I talked to Rob Robinson a wonderful guy who works there and instead of pushing their phones, he recommended I go to Tech Heroes just down the street, next to Jimmy Johns and the Computer Store. He provided me their card and I called to get a quote. Cheapest Place in Madison and only cost $45 for LCD screen and labor! I dropped my phone off that day (about 3:00p) and it was fixed before 5:30p the same day!! My new screen was immaculate, however I began having issue receiving service signal. I took my phone back the next day and Tech Heroes suggested it may have a loose wire and he fixed it no charge! I did have the same issues after some time, so I took the phone back and asked if he could replace the part or the wire. He did so for only $20!! My phone signal works better than it did before! I love this place and will most definitely skip talking to the unhelpful and no knowledge people at at&t and go straight to my new phone guy Tech Heroes, who most certainly live up to their name. Thank you so much Rob Robinson at Einstein Wireless for the recommendation to wonderful Tech Heroes, who saved the day (twice)!!

Ive done a number of electronic repairs before on my own using online tutorials and schematics, but for my specific model cell phone, the cracked screen was considered quite difficult for a DIY, so I took it to Tech Heroes. Outside of box stores, Ive never found a repair place that exudes professionalism in their appearance. Tech Heroes isnt much to look at. Their work spaces are cluttered and plenty of old tech items in cases. However, they had excellent customer service. They really know how a retail store should be run in that avenue. Both times I stopped in, I was taken care of immediately and my repairs were done in about an hour. While my phone had a problem related to their first repair, I brought it back and being very apologetic, fixed it right away. The service and professionalism in attitude is what makes me rate this place 5 stars. Sure they made a mistake, but they made it right and it wasnt that big of a deal as long as everything works in the end and I feel well treated. For quick repairs (assuming they have the part in stock) and good service, Id definitely recommend Tech Heroes.

After seeing a card advertizing them as paying top dollar for cell phones I called their West side store inquiring about Selling an HTC thunderbolt brand new in a box. They told me they would discuss it and would get back to me with an offer. They offered me a fair price and seemed pretty straightforward so I accepted the offer. I grabbed my Thunderbolt and headed to the store, only to find out the owner wasnt there. I talked to him on the phone and he told me I could meet him tomorrow and complete the transaction. Later that night i received a text message backing out on the offer that was made to me. Maybe its just me but I dont make offers to people that i dont intend to follow through on or cant make good on. Its not like I put them on the spot to make an offer, they had as much time as they needed and contacted me. If youre considering selling a cell phone I would go with another place in town that actually makes good on the offers to their customers.

The screen on my Galaxy 4 was broken and the debugging mode was off when this happened. I wanted to transfer my files from the phone to my desktop, but this is only possible with debugging mode on. As it turns out, the ONLY way to turn on this mode is to use the screen and navigate the menus (thanks a bunch Android team:/). A replacement screen would have cost around $150 but all I needed was a spare screen to plug in and turn on debugging mode. The guy I talked with was completely understanding. Instead of insisting I let them transfer my files (with service fee), they plugged in a screen and let me chage the mode for free! He wouldnt even take my money when I offered. This is type of service I always hope for and almost never find: they could have made more money, but instead gave me exactly what I wanted and gained a loyal customer in the process. Ill recommend these guys to anyone who needs a phone or repairs. Thank you sir!

Took in a tablet on a Saturday that was restarting itself over and over. Told I could leave it there for diagnostic tests that would be done Monday. Monday rolls around, no call. I called them Tuesday, it had not yet been looked at, and I was told theyll call when they do. Thursday, I call again and they tell me the tablet has no issue, there is nothing wrong with it. Which tells me they didnt even look at it because within 30 seconds of picking it up it restarted itself three times and is unusable. So yeah, its great that the diagnostics are free but they take way longer than promised only to tell me there is no problem - obviously didnt even turn it on. Would never recommend. Its not even so much that they didnt fix it, its that they clearly didnt think it was important enough to call me as promised and then tell me it doesnt even have an issue.
