In reference to Collin Brown, Im sorry you had a bad experience at our store. Ive worked here for nearly 20 yrs and know for a fact we pride ourselves in being helpful to ALL customers! There is ZERO gender bias in our store. We have employed many female associates through the years and have had many words of praise about our professionalism and knowledge. I encourage you to come back. I can only say you may have interacted with a new employee who is still learning the way of the hardware business or an employee who has since been let go. Again, I apologize for your unfortunate experience but also reiterate we treat ALL customers equally.

The staff are always helpful, going above and beyond simply selling things. Its been my experience that they are ready to give helpful advice, tighten (or loosen) a screw or bolt, or even drill a hole in a plastic drink lid so that my son can drink more independently from a drink. My son doesnt have the best control when sucking and needed "lip blocks" for his straws to help prevent choking. When I asked if they could drill a hole in a few drink lids for him to use they were happy to help. Theyre like family, always there with information and help. Dorn Hardware is where I will always go for all of my hardware needs.

I really love this hardware store and I have always had great customer service. A few weeks back I showed up just as the store was closing with a broken light fixture and the man closing the store opened back up and spent 20 minutes helping me take everything apart and replacing the bulb. This was a serious enough project that it required him to get out his tool set but he seemed genuinely interested in helping me :) Great place!

The employee I interacted with was very helpful. I came in looking for oil for my bike chain, and instead of just pointing me to a certain aisle, he walked me over and explained the different products and made a suggestion that would work best for what I was looking for. A cute little store and conveniently close; I will be visiting them in the future!

Staff was unfriendly and horrible purchasing experience. They had what I needed but I wouldve rather gone across town to Home Depot or Ace for better service. Guy ringing up my order never once looked up from the counter, even to tell me the total price. I hear theyre even worse to women shoppers (i.e. condescending, disrespectful).

There are a few jerks on staff, but Ive been going there almost once a month for three years and mostly I leave with an even better product than what I set out to buy (e.g. one of the employees told me to use a cheap wooden paintbrush to clean the inside of my PC instead of compressed air and he was 100% right).

Horrible customer service. Owner has huge attitude issue. I returned a malfunctioning item. Told me to come in and exchange. When I went in the retail clerk said I had to come back when owner was there. In the mean time, they claim they lost the item and therefore I could not get credit for the item. Ho

showed up once 1 minute before it opened. The person walked in as my phone said 9:00. I tried to follow him in but received a cold "Were not open yet!" Took my business somewhere else that day and have never been back. There is a similar store very close on Park Street that is always very helpful

I received the worst customer service I have ever gotten in my life, at this store. I asked where a certain charger is, the guy didnt know. I answered a phone call, and got yelled at for it. It is also cramped, the staff are all junkies, and there is no way that I will be returning. Simply awful.

The employees at this hardware store are so helpful and very knowledgeable. I wouldnt go anywhere else for hardware in this town! I needed an odd end job done and one of the employees came to my place of residence and completed the job for me. OUTSTANDING!!! They are so helpful!

I tend to agree with the others here that the customer service is okay at best. Through multiple visits over the years they have always had what I need, but its frustrating when the cashier values his conversation with a friend at the counter over serving you.

Awesome service, found exactly what i was looking for. The guy at the front desk commented on my longboard and showed me some of his custom decks hes been working on. Highly recommended
