Great one stop shop with just about anything you need. Rental, Propane refill, Glass/ Plexiglass cutting, window/ screen repair, and mower/snowblower repair are just some of what they do. Make sure to bring your mowers and snowblowers in very early if you want them done on time. Call and reserve an item if you plan to rent. Oh and dont forget about the green house every Spring/Summer. Their weekday hours change in January February and March to 8a-8p. 30 minutes less than usual. Youll also be surprised at what they have that you didnt expect and they have a great selection of nuts, bolts, etc. Plus, they are often adding new products and expanding sections to accommodate customer needs. Prices are reasonable especially for a close, convenient, and customer oriented store. If you get what you need when its on sale the price is hard to beat. Staff is very helpful and does their best to get you what you need or direct you to where you can find it. They will often steer away from their normal duties to do more to help you with a specific task. Expect to see younger staff as the day gets later. They can still help you and give you the right info majority or the time. If there is an issue, it is dealt with professionally and gets you want you need. If you can stand another card on you sign up for the rewards card. Its not a credit card so no worries there. Its the perfect store to have on the North Sid of Madison.

I tell acquaintances to go here all the time. Been going here for twenty years now. First place I call or visit when having a problem. Easy parking, very helpful staff, and prices are very competitive. As long as youre not a jerk and ruin it, they have a generous exchange policy. We rarely buy at Menards or others since this place can and about has it all. And If they cant help you they refer you to the appropriate place too. They even have made in USA tools too. Best business around. I can see why they are still in business.

They took advantage of my 80 year old father. While he was getting his mower fixed elsewhere he needed to rent one. The one he rented from here fell apart and when he took it in they were not helpful nor did they refund his money. My father is a gentle and sweet man and to get him upset the way he was when he told me about it would have had to be something big.

Excellent store. Knowledgeable staff. Try them before any of the big box stores. If it is a large hardware item, ask them for a price quote. Chances are they can meet most prices if you give them a chance. Lets keep the money in the local neighborhoods.
