Wonderful! This is one of the better dog grooming experiences my dog and I have had! I have a 14 y.o. American Cocker Spaniel. This is the first time we had used PetSmarts grooming services. I can honestly say we will be using PetSmart again! My dog had actually run away and been missing. We had finally gotten him back and realized his grooming needs were beyond what we could provide at home. So I called to find out who could get him in the night we got him back or the following day, as our regular groomer was booked out 3 weeks. I got a hold of PetSmart on Bluemound. The lady on the phone told me they were booked for the rest of the evening for full grooming services, but I could go online and could see open appointments for the following day. I did just this and we booked him for the next afternoon. Upon accessing the site, I quickly realized booking an appointment (and navigating the site in general) was very easy and user friendly. I also had the option to select exactly which services I did and did not want, including flea and tick treatment! At the confirmation portion, I got my price estimate and was able to add notes. I noted that my dog was very hairy and in rough shape, due to the fact he had been missing. The next day when we arrived, we were greeted immediately by a groomer, even though they were packed. She got us checked in and even confirmed all the services we ordered online and relayed the note I had made. She then pulled out a chart where I could choose exactly how short I wanted my dogs coat. I asked for her recommendation and she pointed to the shortest one, explaining it was probably just best to "start fresh" given the circumstances. I agreed and was told the grooming would take about 3-4 hours. I arrived back at the Bluemound location shortly before the 4 hour mark. I saw one of the groomers was cleaning up the ends of his ears and face, so I walked around and did some shopping. I was about to check out when the groomer waved me into the salon (she saw me through the window). She went over everything with me and another groomer printed the itemized bill. To my surprise, all the services were listed, yet the bill was about $30 LESS than the only estimate. They explained that the matted hair was not as extensive as originally estimated and the work was not as involved as they expected it to be. They further explained my dog did very well and was actually cooperative (which highly surprised me because usually he loses it when they get to trimming nails and shaving paws). We checked out with our products and our grooming bill, which was also a quick, easy process. Upon getting my dog home, I checked him over thoroughly. I was pleased to see his coat was very even and they had not nicked any of his skin tags. They cleaned his eyes, ears, and paws very well (better than our regular groomer). Thank you to each and every one of the groomers at PetSmart on Bluemound! Keep up the good work!

Do NOT buy small animals from this store. We recently (less than 3 weeks ago)purchased 2 Syrian Hamsters from this store. We asked numerous questions & purchased everything recommended. Our hamsters were caged separately & cages cleaned, fresh food and water given regularly. One of our little guys randomly passed away last night. I called the store to discuss it with the manager, more less to find out if this is common & are we are risk of this happening again should we get another. I was immediately responded to with a curt, rude & dismissive response of their 2 week return policy & there was nothing she could do. When I asked if this was common or more probing questions, it was only returned with more rudeness & an immediate assumption it was our fault. As a business owner, I would NEVER EVER speak to my customers like that. I could care less of the $16 that was lost, the conversation was intended to discuss options of getting a new one and possibly working out what could have happened to avoid it again. Irregardless of what their policy is, they are selling real/live animals. Being educated on when situations like this arise should be discussed with management. Im incredibly disappointed at the caliber of customer service & intend to take our business elsewhere.

I have been a loyal costumer to this store for over two years now getting everything from dog food/ toys to grooming done. But a few days ago i took my dog to get groomed, when I came back to pick her up I received a excellent report card for my dog. I was told everything was fine and she was great. However when I got home I noticed she had a huge bruise across her stomach that looked like a hand print. I called the store right away and asked the groomer if anything had happened understanding dogs arent always a fan of being groomed, and again she reassured everything went great. But told us to take a picture and call back in a few days, when we called back and spoke to a manager they knew nothing and were unable to help us. Its very scary and unnerving to think you leave your pet with people you think will take care of them, and you get them back bruised with no explanation and with a staff that didnt seem to concerned. After two years of loyal business its very disheartening to know my business and pet mean nothing. I will no longer be recommending this place to other people.

My daughter recently bought two hamster from Petsmart in Brookfield. They were in a cage together and she was told they were brothers. After about a week, we noticed that the smaller of the two started losing patches of hair. My daughter had been very good about giving fresh food/water and cleaning the cage. We decided to go get him a different cage in hopes that would help. Unfortunately he continued to deteriorate. I had set up a vet appt but he died the morning of the appt. She only had him for about a month. To make matters worse, the other hamster is starting to show the same symptoms, so we are taking him to the vet. I would never buy hamsters from them again. I have since done some research and found that PetSmart & Petco many times get their small animals from places that partake in animal neglect/abuse. Reminded me of puppy mills but with small animals like bunnies, gerbils and hamster. So sad. We wont be shopping here anymore for any pet needs.

I work here and I love it so much. We are on a schedule so our tanks are almost always clean. Our animals are very taken care of and we have a 14 day guarantee if you buy a animal we will take them back and treat them if they get sick. Its common for hamsters to get wet tail, its common for guinea pigs to get upper respiratory so we want to help them if that happens. We only carry boy animals so Guinea pigs and gerbils are social and should be kept together while our male mice and hamsters should live separate. As babies We have them together because they get along, but when they mature they do not. We want whats best for our animals. Make sure to ask whatever questions you need to know and please do research online as well. Not every associate is as informed and sometimes we might forget a few things as well.
