My boyfriend took his car in to have the tire pressure sensor replaced and the oil changed, but that he needed to wait on the 30K because funds were tight. He knew what sensor it was and told them to replace it (because the guy who put the tires on broke it). They called him back and told him that they had to diagnose it. He does not know enough about cars to tell them: No, you dont have to diagnose it, I saw the tire guy break it. Just do what I asked you to do. The diagnosis added over $100, ridiculous! They tried to tell him that he could get it back from the guy who broke it. No, he cant because it was a friend doing him a favor. They were not interested in meeting the customers needs. They were interested in taking money. Once they had his car in their clutches, they called him up and told him he *needed* his injectors flushed and a cabin air filter. He is an honest guy -- so he wants to believe other people are honest. The car has 30 bloody K miles on it. It can wait!. He uses Chevron exclusively, there is not going to be a problem with the injector spray pattern at 30K and it could get done with the 30K. The car gets parked in the garage and he doesnt drive in the country, so the cabin air filter is not going to be disgusting. It can wait! But noooo, they have to make their quota. They told him one thing when he dropped it off, another thing on the phone when they called to scare him into spending $575 for stuff HE DID NOT NEED or want (he just didnt want to admit he didnt understand cars/what they were talking about) -- imagine the average woman or a senior citizen with these guys). RUN! DO NOT go to these guys unless a) you know a lot about cars and can spot their b.s., b) you have someone to go with you who can spot their b.s. or c) you have something that is 100% covered under warranty. Service writing can be a very dirty business -- I used to do it for a small independent and hear horror stories about shops who bonused their employees on what they wrote. Now Ive seen it in person. Our mechanics were paid by the hour, not the flat rate manual, so they didnt lie to line their pockets and we service writers werent bonused on what we sold -- as a consequence, we recommended what the customer needed, we told them if it could wait and how long -- as a result we had a VERY loyal clientele. If my old shop worked on Mazdas, I would have sent him there (a dealer doesnt have to work on your car for you to keep the warranty -- they just want you to think that). It is obvious that these Alan Webb guys are out to get what they can when they have the car -- because the way they treat people means they are not going to get a lot of repeat business. If the service manager had any sense, he would run an ethical shop and treat people decently. He or she would get paid back 10-fold with loyal customers. Theyd pay their employees hourly (instead of paying them for what they bill). Its service departments like these that give dealerships a bad name. My boyfriend gave them $575, but theyll never see another dime. If they had acted morally, they would have earned his repeat business (and would have earned thousands of dollars over the life of the car.) Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

As soon as we walked in they were cheating us of our time. The sales rep wasnt too bad as he described every detail of the vehicle and had us test drive it, which was educational. But he avoided talking numbers and pricing with us. He eventually sat down with a price and we gave him another. He pulled over a finance rep who immediately gave me a very bad vibe. The sale rep lied about the price we wanted. The finance rep wouldnt budge on the price. He wouldnt look at me unless he demanded answers (Im a woman if that tells you anything ) So we tried to get them to give us a few things like alloy wheels, all weather mats, and door guards. They would only give us one of those items. They kept twisting the prices and monthly payment around, claiming that they were trying to work with us but secretly they were seething at how irritated they were about us being hard to convince. But they convinced us and they were probably laughing because they were selling us a 2014 vehicle with a kit we didnt want but they wouldnt remove, all for a meet $24,000, at 4% interest even though my husband had good credit and they forced him to get a cosigner. If he hadnt had a cosigner they would have forced 11% interest on us. On top of this, they demanded $2000 down payment. As we signed, the third and final financial specialist declared that we were to sign a document agreeing that we were receiving only the car, even though they had agreed to give us a couple additions for free. In reality, the items werent a big deal. But 5 hours later, they had slighted us, lied to us, checked our credit, and degraded us. We didnt sign that last document. We walked up to the manager and asked why they changed their mind. They declared that they had never made any promises that we described. we remained courteous and went out the door. But that wasnt it! The financial rep, the second person we met, chased us out the door and said that we would never get a better deal and that we were walking away from the best deal. As we turned around and described how they made a mistake in lying to us, he raised his voice and said "dont point your finger at me you ol cheat!" I wasnt even done talking and he spun on his heel and retreated to the store. How disrespectful! This whole time they were the cheats and they called us cheats? I was livid. We took our downpayment back and left. Oh you think that was it?? It was only almost done. As we drove away, the sales rep waved goodbye, saying he would see us again. And next day, he called saying he wants our business. As we reiterated how we didnt appreciate what they did, he quickly said goodbye and hung up. In the end I am so glad that we didnt buy that car. It would have been a complete rip off. Dont get ripped off from them like we almost were!!!

I purchased an RX8 two months ago. The day I bought it, one of the service techs had the key fob in his pocket and broke it so I had to take my trade in home and come back after theyd ordered and programmed a new fob. Then they told me when I was there to pick it up that the ignition ring needed to be replaced so I had to bring it back in. While we were waiting for the ignition ring to be delivered the AC went out and they had to order a part and repair that as well. Yesterday, two months and three days into my ownership, the stereo shorted out and stopped working. Its aftermarket, but it was in the car when I purchased it, so I dont expect the dealership to fix it, but I do feel like they should have made sure it was working. Especially considering when they replaced the ignition ring they told me that it was shorting out because of how the stereo had been installed so I know they were in there and either messed it up themselves or should have taken the time to fix it so it wast screwing up other systems in the dash. They assured me when I purchased this that theyd gone over it and it was in excellent working condition. Two trips in to service and now I have to take it somewhere else for more work inside of two months is NOT excellent working condition. If I had it to do over I would not have purchased a car from this dealership. Id advise you dont either. ***UPDATE*** I was reading through other reviews and saw that someone had posted about seeing a car on the website with stock wheels, then coming in to test drive and finding out that the rims and tires had been upgraded and the stock set was no longer available, and that this jumped the price considerably. This was part of my buying experience as well. The picture on the website showed stock wheels. The picture the salesman sent me that i have in my email right now shows stock wheels. When I got there the following day, "Oh, well, now it has upgraded rims and tires and we dont have the stock ones so the price isnt going to be $9000, its $12000. Hope thats ok." I was pissed, but no amount of trying was able to get me the stock wheels. If I want aftermarket accessories Id like the option to pick them myself, not finance them forever. Plus then Id have the stock set for winter tires or whatever. Nope. Nowhere to be found. I had originally given this review two stars but since I saw that this was a common practice Ive now dropped it to one. Originally posted on Yelp 07/06/2016, see additional reviews for follow up.
