This is a GREAT shop. They have helped me with a couple minor mid-ride issues when I popped in, no charge, just good will. Besides being knowledgeable (which they are, and several of them race) this is exactly the type of service I expect out of a great neighborhood shop! (And something I have not seen with the other shops in the area...) Well done guys! ** They are also active in the community, they sponsor races and a local bike team, get people engaged with volunteering for events, have shop rides and clinics, post (actually informative) information on their social outlets/webpage. This is the EXACT type of store that we need to help support as cyclists. They are a specialized dealer, so a lot Id their in store product line-up is specialized brand, but they can order just about anything, and I happen to like a lot of the specialized stuff. Im sure they can work on any brand, though, so dont let that stop you. Highly encourage folks to stop by for their biking needs.

Go to this shop. Itll certainly be your next favorite bike shop. The downside, their new bike inventory is medium sized, but the upside is the staff is top notch. Weve all been to bike shops that are sell first and talk later shops, and ones that are only focused on elite cyclists (talking to you neon spandex corporate jersey cleat waddle walk guy), but this shop is warm and welcoming to anyone interested in two wheel travel. Reinout will greet you at the door and is there for anything you need. He knows his stuff and is a great listener as well. The shop itself is wide open and breezy and right on the beginning of the Alki trail, so stop by and use the free bike pump, grab some cold drinks for your ride and get to know your new favorite bike shop.

I had an excellent experience at Cycle University! Reinout helped me out tremendously by analyzing my ride style in order to get rid of the shoulder pain I was feeling. He watched me ride and took the time to adjust my handle bars and seat in order to make my riding experience much better! Not only did he take the time to do this, but he also put me into a new pair of shoes which are much more stiff than my old ones. I took my bike out yesterday for the first time since the adjustment and had a wonderful ride, no pain, and a great time! Thank you, Reinout, and Cycle University! I will definitely be back!

Unless you know the employees personally, dont bother wasting your time here. They treat people very rudely unless they know you. I have been in bike shops on four continents, and none have been so snooty as Cycle University. There are way too many options in the Seattle area to waste your time on rude service people with no selection. To the gentleman with red hair and glasses...you have lost a customer for life, and I will do everything in my power to let this town know to avoid your shop at all costs. The other reviews here seem written by the owners. Clearly.

BEST BIKE FITTING IN SEATTLE! Craig was awesome coming into the shop. He greeted and answered any questions I had. His bike fit was extremely thorough and helped me get rid of some pain I was having while biking. He is extremely knowledgable about cycling and fitting and has taken classes and earned certificates in each one through Specialized Bicycle Company. I wont go anywhere else from now on.

I popped my tube on the way here and they were the nearest bike shop. Thinking it was like any other bike shop one of the reps were kind enough to show me how to remove and install tubes. Not only that, but they realized my wheel had a problem and they fixed that, for free. Theyre generosity and patience makes me want to come back, if I ever have a problem again. Thanks guys!

I usually try to do all my own bike repairs, but I was having problems with my BB after I recently swapped it out. I went to CycleU for the first time and found them to be very helpful and willing to explain the issue so I could solve it myself the next time. I appreciated their approach. I had a great experience and will definitely return to this shop again.

Great shop with great mechanics and salespeople! Cant count how many times Ive been saved on my commute with a flat change, pair of gloves, new tire, you name it. Theyve always been quick to help and friendly to boot. Looking to get a new Specialized road bike for next year, great selection of bikes!

The retail experience at Cycle U has always been excellent. Not sure what happened when John Pigg was there, but Ive not seen or experienced anything like that. Its a great shop.

I needed to swap my pedals between my TT bike and my commuter. I showed up, they took care of it, and did not charge me! Definitely going back.
