I typically call ahead to inquire about parts in stock before I walk in to buy it as I dont like to waste time going if they dont have the parts. I build my own wheels, and I needed to buy spokes/nipples and hubs. I had done my calculations and was ready to buy the stuff if they had it in stock. When I called, I told the guy I needed some high end bladed spokes (not a cheap order). I casually asked if they have their own methods of calculating spoke length and if their numbers match mine that Ill be over in about 30mins. Well, thats where the conversation went down hill. The employee mentioned that, "If I end up doing these calculations for you, you might as well get us to build the wheelset". I told him that I was not asking you to build it. I am building it and I just need the parts. He continued that if I want parts he could just order it, but if I had questions that his shop could just make it for me. I ended the conversation with, "Sounds to me that you dont want to sell me spokes". I didnt even mention the hub set I wanted to order. Too bad for Woodinville Bicycle. I didnt even walk in the door. I ended up at another LBS. :::Edited after a reply::: I wouldnt classify Casually asking about your methods of calculating spoke lengths as justification enough to dismiss me as a potential customer. Then, try to up-sale me to build the wheels before youd even entertain me as a customer. If a customer asked about proper bike size and positioning when buying a bicycle, would you also charge bike-fitting fees or charge for asking too many questions? I know you replied to save face and humiliation, but it is unnecessary and time consuming. How would you recoup your time this time? I took the time to write this review, as you felt you needed to reply as well. But, wouldnt it be greater to provide great service instead? Or, is that asking too much of your time? I can read through your insincerity. No need for any of that.

I recently got a Specialized Roubaix from Woodinville Bicycle and had a very positive experience. The staff was very willing to take whatever time was needed to help me find the best fit and the bike most suited to my needs. They had lots of advice about what might be practical and well suited to my commute while listening to my wants. They even suggested ways to save money and avoid buying a product, suggesting a better less expensive alternative. Despite the hassle of pulling stock from all over the store I was able to ride around 6 different bikes and take the time I needed to choose what I liked. They also spent over an hour with me trying over 10 different saddles to find a good fit. In the end they suggested I break in the current saddle a little and return if I still wanted to swap out for a different one. In summary the staff were excellent listeners, well informed, helpful, and willing to devote whatever time was needed to ensure you find a good bike for your needs. I am extremely appreciative and will be back numerous times in the future despite the 17mile bike up to the store!

WOODINVILLE BIKE SHOP IS AWESOME! I work in Woodinville and commute home to Kirkland several nights a week. Last night I was leaving work at 7pm and realized I'd forgotten my bike light on the charger at home. I raced over to WOODINVILLE BICYCLE to see if they may still be open, unfortunately it was 7:10 and they had clossed. Darren, the Manager and Fit Specialist saw me circling the parking lot and asked me if all was alright. I told him my situation. Darren got out of his truck, re-opened the shop and refussed to sell me a cheap light...instead he loaned me a top end demo for the night! He insisted my safety was paramount and that HE would sleep better knowing he did all he could to help me get home! Woodinville Bike gives Disney World service in a sometimes dismal world. Thanks to the best Bike Shop and Service Manager I made it home in the pouring rain chasing 500 lumens of light down the BG trial with a big fat grin!

My fiancé and I placed an order in store, and were told that our order would be ready for pickup in a week. After a week, we followed up and were advised that it should arrive in an additional 3-5 business days. Once again, we followed up after this expectation had passed as we had not heard from the shop, and were then told itd be another 3-5 business days. For a third time, we had to follow up when we heard nothing after 5 business days. Bike still isnt ready for pickup and not once has the shop called us to advise of possible delays, which is the primary issue. Cancelled the order today. Given the quantity and quality of shops in the area, you should look elsewhere if you want at minimum, passable customer service.

This is now my default shop for service, quick fixes and essentials. Every time Ive gone in here, Ive walked away happier and more knowledged than when I came in. A recent visit was due to a faulty install of an S-Works crank and power meter by another popular local shop, which led to the crank failing while on the trail. Managed to walk in on a busy Saturday morning and was out in 15 minutes and back on the trail with a new-feeling bike due to their professional knowledge and accommodating attitude. I regret not coming to them in the first place. These guys are awesome.

The best thing about this bike shop are the people who work there. Mike, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Hes the kind of guy who remembers your name the next time you visit. The rest of the staff there are very good as well. Derailier adjustment is always tricky, so I take my bike there whenever it needs adjustment. They always fit me in without waiting. Their parts and accessories selection is pretty good, and they have bikes of all types...from city to mountain, to racing. These guys are good and fair, and you cant ask for more than that!

Fantastic store. My wife and I went here in search of new mountain bikes. We not only found great bikes but had easily the best customer service weve ever experienced. Shannon, Jason and their colleagues really know their stuff. They skillfully devoted a lot of time to ensuring the right fit and were incredibly accommodating of the unique time and packaging constraints my wife and I had due to being based overseas. I cant recommend this store enough, and if we ever move back to Seattle areas itll definitely be our go-to choice.

Darren, Cory, and all the other guys at the shop are top notch. Not only in customer service but in knowledge and friendliness. I have purchased a couple bikes there in the past and have had my bikes serviced there as well. Including bikes I didnt even purchase there. They recently helped me with a custom build pub bike and went well beyond just help and info. They were excited with me a about my build. Goto this shop and you will see what I mean. They deserve all the respect and support. What a great bunch of guys. Thanks
