Dishonest and incompetent. I had to get a spoke fixed but lost the key for my pinhead wheel locks. A week after I dropped it off Tom called and said he tried every tool he had but couldnt unlock them, and the only way to remove the wheels would be to saw them off. He said the wheel locks were a knockoff, not actually pinhead brand. Being new to cycling, I ignorantly agreed to have him put in the extra labor hours to saw them off. A whole month later the job was finally done. He didnt even call me to let me know it was done. He made a big deal about how it took him 3 hours of work and it was really hard. Charged me $50 extra. When I picked up my bike, I showed him the receipt that showed they were indeed Pinhead brand wheel locks. After fumbling for an explanation, the best he could come up with was that it must be a new or secondary pinhead design because hed never seen anything like it. I called the shop in San Francisco where I bought the pinheads and they assured me that they were normal pinhead locks, and I could have just ordered a new key (which Tom should have known). They also said that Tom sounds like an a-hole who ripped me off. Update: now that Ive ridden my newly "tuned up" bike, Ive discovered there is significant drag in both wheels and the chain keeps slipping in the highest gear, which never happened before. Tom also forgot to install reflectors as agreed.

Great service after I bought my electric mountain bike here. They put a lock on my bike rack and when a part broke on my bike rack they called manufacturer and got free part. Even though it was my fault. Much better more personal service compared to Mikes
