Where do I start, this is the worst bike shop Ive ever been to. Had an issue with a lost bolt that attaches the rear suspension to a shock, when i went there i showed them the mag link (piece of rear suspension) that needed the new bolt. They said they would call and see if they could get it, they also suggested i get a new maglink which i declined because I knew the one i had was slight damaged but 100% functioning. I get a call the next day they say a bolt with cost $10 so i order it. Two days later I go in and they have both a new maglink (which had a $100 price tag on it) and a new bolt. I tell them again i dont need the maglink i just need the bolt. We try to install the bolt in the shop and its the wrong bolt... even though i left them with the maglink they order the wrong bolt. Ok everyone makes mistakes, this time I ask can I leave my bike since its a hassle to get in and out of my car, they have no problem with it. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. I get a call saying they installed the maglink and new bolt and the bill is now $120. I go in frustrated and they say the bolt jiggled in the old mag link because the hole it goes through was way bigger than the bolt and it would cause the suspension to "jiggle" and the threads were too damaged to install it. Fine I pay the bill and leave, when I get home i take a closer look and notice not only are both holes on both mag links virtually the EXACT SAME SIZE, 3 of 5 other bolts used to attach it are partially stripped or completely stripped and cant be removed without further damaging. Not only that I was able to easily screw in the bolt that was originally replace into the so called "damaged threads." So now i will be going to a new place to reorder those three bolts, install the old mag link, ride the bike and prove that it doesnt jiggle and was perfectly fine as I had originally stated. Then its better business bureau here I come. Long story short, my fix went from $10 to $150+ because they ordered i piece i didnt need, and because the mechanicals clearly have no idea what they are doing. If you like lighting money on fire and getting ripped off for shotty service this is your place. (pic bellow is completely stripped bolt)

I have had such a bad experience with this store. Between the lack of communication, the outrageous prices they charge for everything they do, and their disregard for the owners bike, I have decided I will never go to the store again. They charge 15 for a simple tubeless conversion that takes about 3 minutes. They charge 25 to do a chain replacement that might take 7 minutes to do. Upon getting my bike back, I saw that my recently cleaned cassette had been lathered with oil. I have also had brakes replaced and there was no adjustment done to the actual lever to make them feel like they had before. Recently, I have had problems converting to tubeless. I wanted to use one tire, a race nano, and no matter how hard they tried, the store could not get it to work (the air was always leaking). Whether this was due to an annomily regarding the tire or to the store I do not know. But when I went to pick up my bike, after asking for the tire to be replaced, I did not come back to find another nano 2.1 in working condition on the bike. Instead I saw a bronson 2.2. A tire that weights nearly 150 grams more than the nano! Did they even call me tell me they were making this switch? No. After taking it home and looking at it more closely I realized how much they had screwed me over. Suffice it to say, this company will no longer be receiving my business. I have given them multiple tries, but they have failed horribly every time.

Very nice shop. Very clean, very neat- has a nice selection of mostly higher end cycles. I got a sweet deal there on a Trek Superfly. For the first week it rode great, however it had a plethora of problems later on. Nothing wrong with the components or frame- It just seemed as though the bike was extremely poorly put together (untightened components, random gear shifting etc.). I took the bike back to the shop telling them about its problems (I didnt want to pay for a tune-up...$100 sheesh). They told me arrogantly that these were common problems and they would fix them for free right away- And teach me how to fix them. This annoyed me, I knew this wasnt your usual case of a screwed up derailor... they didnt really take me seriously. So I got a ride in after it got out of the shop, only to find the problem was far worse. I was super pissed off at them for not listening to me. I took the bike to another shop (Cesars Cyclery in San Anselmo), and they identfied the problem in 30 seconds as a bent derailor hanger... Another part that was incorrectly placed on my bike. They also told me that the chain looked very old... like 20 years old and did not look like it had been correctly maintained prior to purchase. Fine shop to get a bike from.... But I wouldnt trust their technicians-- At least the ones that I encountered.

Limited stock in the store (at least for road bikes). Prices were 10-20% ABOVE MSRP. Asked to have a bike shipped over from the SF store so I could ride it in my size, and it never arrived - they said theyd order it and call me when it showed up. I went there because they supposedly sell Cervelos in the store. They had one ($5000 bike) built up in my (extremely common 56cm) size... Models and sizes listed on the website as being in stock were NOT built up, frame only. How do you ride it to see if you like it, if all you can do is hold the frame in your hand?! Staff seemed like they tried to be knowledgeable, but completely inflexible on their ridiculous pricing scheme, and gimmicky in their extreme focus on sizing theatrics...

As an unfit commuter cyclist myself, I was worried that the store would be too high end for my needs. I thought that the store front looked too nice to have reasonable prices or products for the average cyclist. I was very happy to discover that the prices are competitive with local retailers, and the entire staff is super friendly and down-to-earth. For example, I got zero grief from asking them to show me how to change a tire or oil a chain. I bought my bike and accessories from them, and I continue to use their repair shop. The repair shop is very prompt and reliable with excellent phone communication. I highly recommend!

Have been taking my bike here for a few years dude to racing discounts - continue to give them chances but nothing ever seems to be fixed. The last time I took it in for a tune up they broke the bike even more than it was before (which is hard to do) and then tried to charge me for what they broke. Plenty of other bike shops in the area - dont bother with this one
