This place is most uncomfortable. It feels like they said, "rich Microsoft people live here, so lets build something to take their money." The results are predictably shameless and awful. Lets deal with the uncomfortable topic first: no one shops here. Its thoroughly deserted, especially for a mall with high-profile stores (Macys, REI, GameStop, and others). Theres a variety of reasons for this. Perhaps most importantly, the place is randomly located. Who would go out of their way to visit it? Redmond is so disaggregated that most people dont live downtown. If youre around 148th or farther to the west, youre better off visiting Bellevue Square, with its wider selection. The lack of people begets further declines. Having experienced the weird emptiness previously, Im not inclined to visit regularly. The place is relatively modern, and quite clean. Too modern, though, and too clean. The place doesnt feel lived-in. It still feels plasticky, artificial. Theres no sense of actual humans coming here and having interesting experiences. Its much more transactional; you come here to pick something up, then you leave. The attempts to introduce Christmas cheer with a carousel and skating rink, while seemingly well-intentioned, feel forced. The selection is quite good for a relatively small place, although the shops seems oriented toward middle aged people with thoroughly uninteresting lives. They seemed to have taken a caricature (or is it a demographic profile?) of the typical Microsoft employee, and built a mall around that. (If you havent noticed, theres a trend of artificiality and pandering at this place). If you absolutely need something, you can find here. Thats the only reason to visit. More than anything, Redmond Town Center feels pathetic. It reflects the soullessness of consumerism, and of Redmond.

I am sorry but what made people think that an outdoor mall in western washington was a good idea? In the summer the sun is beating down on you and for the other 9 months of the year it is raining. Let us say you do not mind being out in all kinds of weather or dodging traffic to get from one store to the next, the stores really are not that good. I mean the Macys they have is the smallest selection of any Macys I have seen. They do not even have formal wear. The restaurants are good, I love the food at Matts though the service is inconsistant. I also love Spazzo and the happy hour is a great deal, though the happy hour service is not great. Still I miss the typical food court fare that I thought was a fun part of shopping. Overall the Redmond Town Center really does not cut it. If you really need to find something go to Bellevue or Southcenter, and atleast if you can not find it there you will not end up sunburned or soaking wet.

RTC is going through a lot of churn still. I wander about amazed that for every visit yet another store has closed down. At least a new crop of stores are on their way. RTC has had it rough ever since Borders closed along with the theater going ultra high-end. That reduced traffic tremendously. The best thing RTC did was close down the road that bisects the center and make it a great place to hang out. Its so much better, let alone safer now that its devoid of the distracted drivers making their way through the shopper pedestrians. Heres hoping that better days are ahead and that the stores and restaurants can finally stabilize.

Great outdoor mall for Spring and Summer. During Fall and Winter its kind of chilly but still a decent place to shop. There are fun activities that happen in the center of the mall year round that make it a great gathering location especially now that the center of the mall is car free. My favorite is the Farmers market in the summer! There are tons of vendors of all sorts that come and sell their goods, and theres great music to listen to while you enjoy your time there. If you live in Sammamish and dont want to go to Bellevue, Seattle or other locations more than 30 min away, this is definitely the place to be.

The main reason I go to this mail is because of the amazing iPic Movie Theater. However, I do enjoy the old school, small town feel of the mall. The vast majority of the stores are accessed via the outdoors. Which means, they are connected but, you have to go outside in order to go into them. I think that a throwback to the malls these days that are all enclosed. Theres a childrens playscape and shuffle board area in the center of the mall. They seem to have designed this place with the outdoors and a sense of community in mind. Again, its in Redmond so, it kind of a trek buy, a nice change.

This mall is in many ways the heart of Redmond; however its offerings of stores are a bit odd. There a bunch of cool places here, you can get crepes or chocolate or cupcakes or ice cream. However, there is not much in the way of quick food for lunch. There are some high-end restaurants and a deluxe movie theater and a play area in the middle that gets full of kids during the summer. Interesting options, but not a place you could go every day or somewhere you would go unless you had a specific store in mind.

This is yet another community shopping center that has not yet adapted to the new retail landscape. At any given time about 20% of the shops are empty. Currently 2 of the 3 original anchor stores are closed. Most shops are focuses on womens clothing. There is an iPic theater that lives up to its luxury movie going experience potential. Lately there has been some growth in the number of restaurants which might add a much needed boost to the malls foot traffic. I hope to see this location revitalized.

Its an open-air Mall. It used to be awesome. They used to make it so you could be able to drive through the center of it and drop people off at the middle, you were able to see the big Christmas tree by driving through and for the last year or so they changed the center so you cant drive through it which really sucks so I go somewhere else to shop. They had this dumbass idea that in a city where its only warm three months of the year people would want to walk around to the center where it is raining.

There are several main parking lots (at least one; covered, with Security present) so parking is usually available close to ones desired store. Contains a huge variety of shops, including Macys, Home goods, clothing, body products, restaurants & cafes (including Starbucks), an upscale movie theatre, hairdressers, Apple store, music/guitars, jewelry, and much more. Traffic is somewhat congested during rush hour, but there are several main arterials entering the area.

RTC has been updated with a lot more pedestrian-friendly areas and a huge amount more regular events - one seems to be going on every weekend. And this makes it absolutely great for one big thing - Pokemon Go. There are a ton of Pokestops around, and they frequently are lured. Lots of people are playing there and will tell you about things theyve found nearby. Its easy to just walk around for an hour and get a ton of stops and creatures.

This out door mall is super classy. Its got a high end feel as if your a superstar for just being there. I really liked the arangements of all the shops. Though if your not a fan of multiple floor malls then it might not be for you. Still I enjoy taking the stairs up and down even when it wasnt necessary. They used to have the best REI here too, which was one of my main stops when coming here. Sad to see it go :(
