4/19/13 IF YOU LIKE SHOPPING, YOULL LIKE BROADWAY PLAZA If youre looking for the actual Walnut Creek (as in H2O), it once flowed where Broadway Plaza stands now. Walnut and San Ramon Creeks were covered over during construction. Imagine the outcry from environmental groups if you tried to build a shopping plaza over a creek now! But 60 years ago this must have been less of an issue because today stands an outdoor shopping plaza that other malls nationwide have tried to recreate. The design of the plaza is very shopper-friendly. Going hand-in-hand with the scenic, outdoor mall, is the great weather of the Bay Area. Who wouldnt love walking around the shops and fountains with the sun shining on your shoulders?! I dont like shopping. At all. But I do enjoy walking around Broadway Plaza. The Sees candy store is my favorite. Free sample if youre in line! 5/9/13 - Broadway Parking Garage MORE GREAT PARKING IN WALNUT CREEK Come one, come all! Bring your cars and park on Broadway! This inexpensive parking lot is much more spacious than the nearby one that always seems crowded in front of Jamba Juice/Starbucks/Bank of America. They are literally only a couple blocks apart. The Bay Area is known for its beautiful weather. Enjoy it as you walk to your destination from the Garage on Broadway. Nearby shops and restaurants are abundant. Broadway Plaza isnt all that far and theres so much nearby on Main and Locust streets. Your car will be safe here while it waits for you.

Wonderful upscale open air shopping center and plaza with high end stores mingled with mid-level department stores and chain retailers. Lovely shaded seating areas and landscaping is well-maintained. Safe, peaceful and wealthy neighborhood. Clientele is young professionals, housewives, businessmen, teens, college students, out of town tourists, empty nesters, fashionistas and retirees. Gets very busy on weekends with out of towners, families with children and regional shoppers, so plan ahead. Parking can be limited, so prepare for that. Thanks to easy access via the BART train and city bus, quite a few beggars, low class and less desirable shady characters have increasingly been wandering and loitering around. Still, its relatively very safe, just be cautious and aware. If youre of means and have disposable income, theres no place like Broadway Plaza anywhere within a 30 mile radius, so it is THE place to shop for designer fashions, high end home décor, and is walking distance to bars, restaurants and the movie theatre. Highly recommended.

Last couple of years, Broadway Plaza has been going through a major facelift. Its now like being at a smaller version of Stanford Shopping Center. There is something for every budget. There are high-end designer stores like Neiman-Marcus with Nespresso and Tesla Showroom and the other end Old Navy. Around BP, there are even more popular brand name stores such as Apple, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Tiffanys, and Anthroplogie all within short walking distance. I like that there is more outdoor seating around the stores now with more restaurants to choose from. Great to rest and people & dog watch. Parking is only free for up to the first 3 hours in their two big lots (one next to Crate & Barrel, the other in the back of Macys). They also have very convenient 2 Mommy, Daddy & Me (family) parking slots next to Disabled parking slots on every parking lot floor next to the elevator.

This is a beautiful outdoor shopping mall in Walnut Creek! Its the closest location to Fairfield that has many of the places I like to go to, such as Lush and Apple, and so I make the drive out to it often when in the area! I love the layout of it, it feels beautifully put together and recent renovations just made it even better! Theres a lovely plaza area to sit and relax with some coffee after having walked around for a while to all the numerous shops, which are a mixture of your typical mall stores and higher-end shops. A great mall in the Bay Area that I love going to!

Nice outdoor mall. Anchored by Nordstrom, Macys and Neiman Marcus. Recent remodeling and expansion new public restrooms (that have been plagued with issues) many more parking spots but parking only free for first three hours. Valet available at Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Since expansion at least four stores have closed after renting new spaces: Vince Cummatto, Kit and Ace, APEC, Michael Stars, Ivivva and they have 4-6 unrented spaces. Worst thing is they have two locations that have people standing at doors trying to hand out free samples so annoying.

Love the location in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek! Broadway Plaza is the new concept of shopping malls in USA. Wide variety of Trademarks, old and new brands. Restaurants and coffee shops with seating out in the open spaces are very nice. Public Parking structure is huge and facilitates the time saving problem of looking for parking in a very crowded area of downtown. At the parking structure they even have a seating area for you to rest while waiting for your car.

No EV Stations in new parking garage is loss of a star for Macerich inept to follow California. State Law for new construction. Theyre from (based) in Phx). They dont respond to questions and hide in their hidden offices. Beautiful redone outside shopping center. One of the best in NorCal besides Santana Row or Westfields. Flows into Walnt Creeks block after block of stores alike Saks and Niemans to many Tru Food type kitchen eateries abound.

Love Broadway Plaza for the outdoor shopping experience! Much preferred over the stuffiness of an indoor mall. Love having all of my favorite stores in one place in an outdoor setting! And so incredibly beautiful with the hanging plants and landscaping surrounding the entire area! Its very busy there, so parking, particularly midday, it can be problematic. Going early is much better!

Broadway plaza has just been remodeled and it looks amazing! It is relaxing to grab a coffee and stroll around window shopping or even actually shopping. It is just as crowded as ever, but not too bad. The parking structure on Broadway usually has spots and the first 3 hours are free. It is a little more mall-like and less charming now (Wetzels??) , but its pretty nice still.

Shopping a céu aberto com lojas de várias marcas. Vale um passeio porque durante a semana ainda promovem pockets shows. Point descolado de Walnut Creek.

Nice outdoor mall experience. Pricey to be sure. Higher end stores after the addition of Neiman Marcus the mall seems to be catering to more money centric clientele. A lot of renovations have taken place over the past few years so theres plenty to shop. New parking garage is a vast improvement from the old one.

Currently being remodeled but the updates of this outdoor mall are nice, more like a neighborhood. Has a good variety of food spots and stores, may have a little more high end shops. Theres parking at the mall but also plenty of other parking garages around downtown WC.

Lots of trendy shops. First 3 hours of parking are free but over 5 hours is 25 bucks. Dont lose your ticket or its 25 bucks too. But if you keep the receipt and find the ticket later, you can get that refunded minus the amount your ticket was due at the time of exit.

Okay shops for the well off. Shoppers sometimes run to the snobbish and rude. I find it this place quite distasteful in that it is a stomping ground for an upper middle class who find themselves rather displeased with sharing the space with the plebian masses.
