Beware when taking a car in for inspection at Sanberg Volvo if you are the seller. There is a another review here that supports my statement what creeps the Volvo service people are. They are full of it. Took a car in for inspection recently and when it was done my potential buyer said "No". "Too many problems". I looked at the inspection sheet and got very furious. How can they write horseshite like that? Most of what they wrote were lies and BS. I serviced the car myself weeks earlier, replaced lots of parts and now these creeps estimate $4k in repairs? Whats wrong with these people? How evil and stupid at the same time can they be? Bad radiator? Not a single problem with it. And the price $850, blew me off my feet. Torn CV boot? Say what? Replaced it new myself 2 weeks earlier. $250 their price, $20 is what i paid at NAPA. That was a brand new CV boot! Top that. Bad cap seal? Had been replaced new at the same time. Bad strut bushing? As if I dont know my struts. Both in great condition. Oh, and the timing unit. Leaking? Right. Who are you kidding? They must not have known that I service Volvos myself. The timing hub on the exhaust cam is a sealed unit and does not and cannot leak. There is a seal behind it around the camshaft that is in fact part of the valve cover and may leak if worn/cracked . But not a timing hub. Their mechanics are as dumb as a chicken when chased by a cock. And the price. $1650 for the timing hub!!!! Theyve got seriously bad advertising tactics that dont work anymore. People arent stupid. No, really who are they to question the condition of my car whom I serviced myself? I am a better Volvo mechanic than half of the guys they employ at their dealership. This was an insult to my own intelligence and integrity as an automotive technician. All fabricated problems. The worst part was probably the pricing. Rip-offs is the word. I told my buyer before we parted: "Man, in my life I will never have a single Volvo serviced here, will never buy a car or a part here and will never tell anyone to do so. It cant get worse than this. This is unacceptable. I feel sad for the folks who bring their Volvos in here for service and get screwed times and times over. " No. if you ever thought of yourself as a smart human being then be smart and dont even think of coming here for anything other than looking around. Because if you come here for business prepare to bend over and drop your pants.

I recently purchased a 2011 Infiniti g37x from this dealership. Upon coming in a few months ago i was interested in a bmw that is still on their lot. After Ron had reviewed everything and dealt with wells fargo (the company that financed me) I was informed that they would not finance me for something where my payments would be over 600. I was told that the BMW I had completely set my mind on was just out of the picture. The infiniti was just under 20k, and it was the only one on the lot I was "eligible" for besides this other Infiniti. I was swindled into buying thier $3000 extended warranty as well as the $800 in gap insurance which is already provided with my own personal insurance. My grand total with everything came out to 23,755 dollars not including the 2500.00 down payment I paid upfront. My total monthly payment came to only $535 per month. The BMW I wanted was advertised just under 25k. I really feel that I was screwed over in this whole transaction and I am in a car I just absolutely am dissatisfied with. My sales man Winston was a good guy but once the sale was finalized, he forced me to sit down and write the review I am now editing with my own words. He sat there and practically wrote it for himself, expressing concern that if key words were not put in that it would make him look bad and he would get less hours or whatever. I was very upset but I felt like I was put on the spot. At the time I wasnt upset with everything, but It wasnt till I got my first statement and looked at the numbers that I really realized that if they didnt try and sell me the Gap insurance and crap extended warranty (WHICH THEY PROBABLY MAKE PROFIT ON) I would would have had no problem getting the car I wanted. So after about a month of reaching out to them ( the manager victor included) trying to get the extended warranty cancelled with them not returning my calls, I finally drove to their dealership and demanded they take care of it right then and there. In my opinion this dealership is crap. they didnt even call me when my license plates came in. I had to anxiously check my mail box everyday till the last day when I drove into the dealer inquiring about them. They dont call you back or really even care about you. I dont recommend buying here unless your coming in with cash..

My wife and I found a particular Volvo that we were interested in, which we found through USAAs car buying service. We contacted the dealership for more information and did get a prompt response, though the rep avoided addressing our questions and just wanted to know when we could come in to look at the car. We decided to check it out in person that night. When we arrived at the dealership, we walked into the office and although there were no other customers in sight, we received a very unenthusiastic greeting from someone who, throughout the entire interaction that night, never introduced himself. We walked out to the car and as we looked around the car the sales persons only interaction with us was to tell us that someone in Florida is very interested in buying this "rare" car. We asked if we could test drive the vehicle and the response was a hesitant, "Yes, I can test drive it with you. But, before we do, let me ask you - and I dont mean to sound like a douche - the car is so rare that they like to keep the miles low, so are you ready to take the car home tonight?" He was insinuating that we couldnt test drive the vehicle unless we were committed to buying it. Isnt the point of a test drive to determine if you even want to purchase it? And how many miles could we possibly add to it by driving around the block? We came to the dealership to look at this specific car, so of course we were interested in purchasing it. Regardless, we left shortly after, extremely disappointed in how wed been treated and the lack of professionalism. That evening, we wrote about this disappointing experience via email to a person listed as sales manager at Sandberg rather than writing a review, in case it was just an isolated event. Weve never received a response from that person. Two days after that evening, my wife received an automated email from a different person listed as the general sales manager, so we forwarded our original message to him. That was 1/12/17 and weve still never received a response. All these reviews of wonderful customer service are night and day to what we experienced and although we tried to express our disappointment privately, the lack of response warranted this review.
