We go for cat supplies, fish/invertebrates, and aquarium supplies. Cats: They have a good selection of supplies, including all our (our cats) favorites. Fish/Aquariums: They have a reasonably good selection of aquariums and supplies. Sometimes they have difficulty keeping routine items in stock, such as syphons and nets, but otherwise, they usually have what I need. Somewhat surprising to me, they have a broader variety of supplies than most fish/aquarium speciality stores. They have a good selection of tropical fish, invertebrates, and plants for a big-box store -- although, as youd expect, you probably wont find some of the more exotic critters (e.g., puffers, rays, etc.). Although Ive heard people complain about the health of fish purchased from big box stores in general, (knock wood) Ive never had a problem with any of the fish, invertebrates, or plants that Ive purchased here. And, no snails or pesticides (in the plants) so far. They seem to do a good job with their vendors -- and so their live fish, invertebrates, and plants, as well. Also, their prices are usually very competitve. Ironically, one of the snooty fish-specialist stores that Ive been to (staff often look down on/diss the big box stores) has provided me most of my problem fish and problem plants. (No more.) Getting back to this Petco (Lynnwood), the staff are always friendly and helpful when I visit. Further, Jeremy, who I believe runs the fish/aquarium section, is highly knowledgable, extremely helpful, and very pleasant. He has earned my repeat business and is a great credit to Petco.

DONT GO HERE FOR GROOMING!! I took my little teacup Yorkie here last month and suddenly she started limping this week. I checked her paws and the back nails on her hind legs hadnt been cut (like the pinky nail) They had completely curled up into her paw and left a hole in the pad. I also noticed a weird smell on her so I checked her ears and they were the dirtiest I had EVER seen, nor were the hairs plucked out them. I tried calling them to tell them about my dog and how they did not cut her 2 back nails nor did they clean/ pluck her ears. She told me Yorkies shouldnt have hair in their ears and that all they can do for me is give me a free nail buffing. I asked if there was anything else they could do for me for skipping over services that I paid for and were neglected. She told me no because all it was, was nails and ears. They caused my dog pain and all they offer is to buff her nails and re clean her ears (which I had already done for her at this point clearly.) I will no longer bring my dog back here, nor do I recommend you bringing yours here!!

Staff are not friendly, we talked what other fish can we put in our 20 gal tank, the staff member says its a10 gal (we own a20 gallon, not sure why she assumes its a ten), them proceeds to tell us we shouldnt put more then four goldfish in our tank because they cant survive, mean while we are looking at the fact they have more then 20 in a ten gallon tank, she said she refused to see us fish because we have too many fish. Again we never told her how many we have. Then says if we want to give them our fish they will take them but wont but then from us. We didnt ask if they would take our but our fish. We went there to get a fish to add to our 20 gallon tank that had two goldfish. We have never been to that Petco before. Will never again. I will go to PetSmart or drive to Everett to any other place then their store. Rude staff and actually hard to find one to assist us.

SO disgusting and unprofessional. I took my puppy in to be groomed and the whole place was a gross mess. There was tons of dog fur piling up everywhere and it smelled disgusting. I felt horrible leaving my pup there with the old lady yelling at the dog she was currently grooming and the four hour wait time until pick up. When I returned three associates were standing around when there was still piles of dog fur everywhere. My pup was an anxiety ridden mess and I felt horrible for leaving him there. Petsmart, in Woodinville, was booked two weeks out otherwise I would have taken him there. They have great smelling shampoo and wonderfully kind associates and a super clean facility. Plus they are half the price!!! Go there instead. Dont waste your time on Petco.

I unfortunately have to change my review. The store itself is great - the staff are lovely with my dog. The grooming department is having issues. I took my pup in a few months back and the groom took about 5 hours. I watched them groom him the last hour, and while they loved on him and were sweet with him, his cut was uneven and choppy and he was shaking and very clingy for the next few hours after I picked him up. I dont know why it took so long - was in a holding pen? It was also pretty pricey for a simple cut on a small dog. I unfortunately will not be returning.

Went here to get gold fish, we were going to buy a tank, and decor for it and everything, we get the lady to help us and she sees me carrying a tank and asks if we have a tank at home and we said no, and she says well I cant sell you a fish because the tank needs 48 hours blah blah something along those lines, which I understand except the tank right across from it was full of dying fish, literally laying on their sides at the bottom of the tank. I feel like she just wanted to get out of thier and not help us because they were closing soon.

Ive been bringing my dogs here to get their nails cut since they were puppies. Theyre now 14 years old, toothless, and never leave the house. They wont see my dogs because their rabies shots currently expired. I told her that my dogs have been coming here since they were puppies and have never been asked about their rabies shots. She said in a snotty tone "were updating our system". I said that this is crappy service since theyve been coming there for so many years. She hung up on me. Never going there again.

We took our dog here and the day we brought him home we started to get bug bites. We realized our dog has fleas. I called the Lynnwood Petco to let them know in case they needed to do anything to their facility. The woman told me that any dog that comes in with fleas gets taken to the bath and cleaned. She continued to say if my dog walked out of their store and a flea happened to jump on him its not their problem.... Thanks for any condolences. Never going back here again and you shouldnt either!!!!!!!

hi I just got my 7 month old shih tzu groomed,waht a horrible job she completely shaved her!! i wanted her legs to be a bit fluffy,yes i understand she had some knots but she didnt even comb through to get the knots out,i was there outside watching.. she just shaved her.. Im not sure the girls name but she had long black hair. i go to petsmart in Woodinville they do a awesome job i will go there from now on.. VERY POOR!! she must be training
