They really need to work on their CUSTOMER SERVICE, keyword here is CUSTOMER! I have been having trouble with the oven on my gas stove, the landlord called these people. They called me before 9 am on the day of the appointment (that I wasnt aware of, landlords fault for this part) and stated they would arrive after 1:00pm. I told them that this wasnt convenient and they could come the next day, man on the phone said no that wouldnt work for them (pardon me , wouldnt want to inconvenience them). I said fine and he suggested Tuesday of the following week, I said fine, what time, he said they would be here between 1:00 & 3:00 pm, I made a comment about "did they think they were the cable company"? I said fine. They called before 9:00 am this morning confirming they would be here between 2:00 & 4:00 pm, I asked what happened to 1:00 & 3:00 and he basically called me a liar and said that they would never quote a time a week in advance. If I had a choice I would have told him to forget it. Man on the phone was very rude both times I spoke to him. I personally would not recommend them just for their abysmal customer service alone. Also, I wish I could give them minus stars.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Lakewood Appliance. Over many years and many houses, they have repaired our refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave and we have also purchased a new fridge, a refurbished washer/dryer, and a range from them. They are extremely knowledgable and I can count on them to be honest. This is a huge deal. (Beware the impostor repair company going under a similar name...they were dishonest and incompetent...be sure you are calling the number that has the physical store on Steilacoom Blvd). Recently, the owner spent significant time reviewing our plans for a project, giving us helpful feedback and saving us from future headaches over mistakes we would have made. Today, the technician fixed my refrigerator and when I went to pay, he mentioned the fact we just bought a range from the business and that he would not accept payment and said, "I hope it makes your day." It really does make my day. Im not a huge writer of online reviews, but the kind, capable, honest service that Lakewood Appliance consistently provides needs to be acknowledged. :)

EXCELLENT customer service!! And Honest! I NEVER do this! Honestly, I usually only go out of my way to write reviews when Ive had a bad experience, but I had a fantastic experience today getting a part for my washer, not only did they save me the huge $$$ by not paying someone to come out to my house, they went above and beyond and actually showed me exactly how to take apart my washer and put the part in. Now my washer is working, and I am one happy camper!! And to boot, it was only a $35 part! If only my deployed husband could see me now!!

Beware. Technician came to house, said he pushed in the plug all the way and charged $75.00. The following day dryer still doesnt work. Obviously he did not look very hard to find the problem. Waited until after holidays and set another appointment. Their Technician called prior to arriving. I saw the call but was on other line, Im thinking, "Great he is on his way" .. After the no show I called and he got lippy. If you dont take the reminder call they will not come to house. Im out $75.00 and still dont have a dryer

Stopped by this morning and the shop was closed. Stopped by again this afternoon . Still closed. Went online after calling and getting no answer. Saw that there are plans to move. Approximately 50 years in the same location. I need a replacement part!! Recently found out the long term owner was injured in an accident and decided to retire. Great guy. A wonderful person to do business with. Will miss this "Mom and Pop" that excelled in honest and sales. Crew Members running it and they have reopened.

The staff is great, very knowledgeable, hardworking, and reliable! Knowing how long a lot of them have been there (10 to 20 years) says a lot about the authenticity of the company itself. Its wonderful that they are full service.... you can buy a new appliance, have yours worked on and/or simply order a part. Truly an important business to have around! I am and will continue to be a loyal customer!

They were very fast in fixing my dryer , but charged me 188$ to replace a heater element ?!? Outrageous pricing . Then there was a 20$ tax . So Im from Oregon and I told them I wanted to get tax exempt . They refused to give it to me and they were rude in dodge my so . I would not recommend coming to this establishment to buy anything or get any services done

Called on phone looking for simple dyer door latch, was told repair kit was about $3 and in stock. When i showed up to purchase found kit was wrong but was given the right part off a floor model at no cost ie FREE just for the inconvenience. Employee wouldnt even let me pay the $3 of kit. Definitely going back to this place for future repairs.

We have been using Lakewood appliance for every appliance weve owned or needed repaired since 1978. Ron (and before that his dad) and the staff are the best!! Their knowledge base cant be beat. We even continued to use them when we moved out of the area. I wish there were more stars to offer than five!!! Use this company with confidence.

New ownership. Rude. Apparently does not want to go out-of-the-way to get business. Badmouth certain brands that they dont carry.
