Half Priced books is great if youre looking for an actual book. Some of their books arent actually half priced, it makes sense if they want a return their paperbacks arent goign to be half priced. But they can be more than you might expect. They have a pretty good selection most of the time.

As far as used book stores go this one has a respectable selection. I was surprised to find music and software titles. Of all the things that I really enjoy, the philosophy section was rather poor. Other than that everything I found was priced very reasonably.

My favorite place to browse for an impulse read. Their inventory is very erratic so I always keep a list of books and buy the first one I find. I usually have to look seven or eight deep into my list before I find something in stock.

Dont go here to sell. We came with a bag of over 10 brand new books, two video games, a few valuable magazines, all in like-new condition. Their offer? $5. Another time they offered 50¢ for a whole bag of books. Sell elsewhere.

Bookstores are my favorite and half price books has prices that are hard to beat. The staff is very friendly. If there is a title you want that is available at another location, they can ship it to the store.
