As a former employee of this chain, I have to praise its treatment of employees & the benefits offered to them. Having said that, buying practices at the Redmond store have never been great, but when someone brings in half-a-dozen Blu-rays & a dozen DVDs & is offered $2.50 for the lot, this is just plain insulting. I was told the buy would take 15-20 mins. I said Id run outside but would return in that time. I returned in maybe 10 mins. I saw the woman who initially took my goods. She half-smiled, rushed ahead of me, & tipped off the snide guy whod taken over for her that Id returned. He said "thank God" under his breath & slugged over to proudly offer an ex-employee less than .15 for each of my items. Terrible experience. I of course passed, will never return & will also encourage others to try elsewhere to sell their items. Redmond Half-Price Books: youre a glorified thrift store. Get I over yourself.

I ordered a book from this business, online. I received a confirmation email that it had shipped, but no tracking information. The lack of tracking information was understandable. After two weeks, I began to question if anything had actually been shipped, or if they simply took my money. It was the latter of the two. It worried me due to the fact that the shipping distance was less than 300 miles. I attempted to contact them through their customer service a number of times, but received no correspondence. I was forced to go through the site their online store is hosted on in order to correct the situation. They promptly solved the issue of this HPB taking my money, confirming they shipped a book, all while never shipping it. I ardently advise against using their business, unless you are actually in the store, book in hand.

I find that theres nothing quite like time spent browsing through books, looking about and dreaming of what to read next. Half Price Books is a great place to do this. They have a huge selection of books, games, music, movies, etc. and decent prices. Theres also convenient public parking nearby. Space can be a tight when moving around and the upper floor is particularly creaky, which can feel alarming. If you love books, make sure to visit!

Half price? Im there. Theres never a shortage of books; if you dont find the one you need for half price, theres always another little gem to pick up. I love coming here to look for books that I havent heard of before. This store is a bit smaller than the one in Bellevue, but still worth a visit.

Best little place to go "treasure hunting" I always walk out of this place with something in my hand. Great selection,and usually can find the titles Im looking for. This place is so big, you can get lost in here! Parking is a little tight, but that is my only complaint.

This store offers great reduced costs - Great way to get recent magazines at less then half the cost at stores. Great selection of books in every subject. Books on tables always on sale. Browse all you want , it is that kind of place. Childrens section is well stocked.

Great second hand books in an amazing downtown setting of Redmond. This is a nice sized book store to just wander up and down the aisles in. The books are in great condition and the prices are fair. I live coming here every once in awhile just to see whats new.

Good place to buy used books. They dont pay you much for your used books though. Occasionally a problem finding parking because non-customers will use their lot and they dont seem to enforce keeping spots for their customers much from what I can tell.

Great place for all kinds of books, really amazing collection at great prices. You can also sell your old books here. They also have small gifts, greeting cards, calendars and board games - all interesting finds. Friendly, helpful staff.

Id rather buy from a book store and see that book or magazine in my hands than buy online and not see it until it gets to my door. Ive visited this, and the Crossroads Mall Half Priced Books, and I like them both.

Great place to find Audio books for cheap. Plus I found some great original copys of selections that I greatly enjoy. They could use to lower their prices a liltle considering they are a used book sore

If youre looking for an actual book this is the place. Well, that or Amazon. At times the books arent really half priced. Their paperbacks are usually just a little less than their marked price.

Half Price books is amazing. Ive found expensive vinyl, rare books, and N64 games for very low prices. And theyll buy your old books as well! I especially liked this locations vinyl selection.

What a gem! Crazy big store with a great selection of music, videos, records, and games. They also have books, tons and tons of books. The staff is super helpful and eager to help.

It is a big Half Price. Could spend lots of time here browsing. Seems well organized. Loads of DVDs too. Having its own parking area is nice and it is dog friendly.
