Hours outside should say til 9:45 PM because theyre very rude and pushy when theyre trying to make sure you get out by 10. We had no intention of staying past closing and the guy was bitching at us every few minutes telling us we needed to leave and he didnt have time for us because they dont get paid past 10PM. Is that my fault? No. We were literally going as fast as we could and he did not make us feel welcome at all. He was also very short with us when we did attempt to make our purchases. If wed had even another minute we would have bought so much more but we felt uncomfortable by this point. We will not be back. Hope it was worth finally pushing us out at 9:55 and I hope you got paid that extra 5 minutes without us in there.

Logos is my go to bookstore in Santa Cruz. It is a true treasure and delight for book lovers. Unlike other stores, most of their selection is used and gently used books and they offer very very fair prices. Whereas other stores have incredibly steep prices, Logos makes purchasing physical books a pleasure and economically feasible thing to do. Moreover, the feel of the store is different from your typical barnes and nobles or borders, it feels like you are walking into a cave piled floor to ceiling with treasures that you have to go through to find. Some may find this terrible and the lack of any true organization to be daunting, but I love it and I can spend hours looking through all the books that they have.

My favorite bookstore in Santa Cruz, hands down. Kind of the epitome of large used bookstores in my mind. Great selection, helpful staff, although its rare to see them in the stacks. The selling counter takes a while, but theyre very thorough and will donate the remnants to local schools and libraries. They have a lovely rare book selection, a robust catalogue of music (both vinyl and CD), and a kind of mediocre selection of DVDs (theyre often arty).

I have been going to Logos for years and love it. They have a wide selection of used music and books and are uping their inventory in DVDs. It is a great place to go if you dont have a lot of money to spend but want something new to listen to or read. They have a lot of older or unusual inventory that you may not be able to find else where and an awesome staff and a great feel to it.

If you like books and dont have money stay away. This place has an amazingly eccentric selection that will make a bibliophile or book lover moist. I spent hundreds of dollars here for no reason other than such wondrous and odd books were in front of me. They have some great deals as well, local things, odd things you may not find elsewhere. Its sorta like heaven on earth.

Its been a Santa Cruz fixture for years now. Unfortunately, its going out of Business soon. (End of Summer 2017) ... Its been THE place in Santa Cruz to get good used books, DVDs and music. Ill miss it. I used to have difficulty leaving the store without a shopping bag full of books. - Great values are still to be had, for a limited time though...

Logos has a large variety of different types of media, both new and used. You can always find something good! I like the space, I know Ive spent hours here before, just looking through a little bit of everything. The option to have and use store credit is also nice. They have a huge range of music and books that everyone can enjoy.

They have a very interesting, eclectic selection of new and used books intermixed. The records are odd in their selection and overpriced. If you want to buy an obscure book for a friend, odds are they have it. Very good nature and gardening sections!

Great selection of used books, with really reasonable prices. They also have a fair price for trade-ins. A really nice location, it feels more like a library than a bookstore. Also dont skip the vinyl section, largest one in town.

A two-level bookstore, looks deceptively small from the entrance. This is a great place to buy and sell used books, they give you a fair price on both sides of the transaction. Great customer service, very welcoming and warm.

The selection is HUGE! granted, I never bought anything here, but I always enjoyed perusing the different sections, reading material there at the bookstore for hours on end. Which brings me to another plus - seating!

Great used book store. Also has vinyl and DVDs. A lot of the boobs are downstairs, accessible via stairs or elevator from the main floor. Highly recommended.
