I think their 3 star rating is a bit high! I came into the store with high hopes and at first glance, I thought this store deserved 4-5 stars but after working with them for a bit, I now see why a 1-2 star rating is more appropriate. When I stopped by the first time, I had an issue with my license plate holder. Got an aftermarket replacement part in my hand on my first stop at their store...however, got home to install said "replacement" part and it did not fit. I had to take my bike back to the store a few days later and they had to modify the aftermarket bracket to fit. SECOND time I chose to stop by the store, I needed an oil filter and since they had them in stock, I decided to buy 2. No problems with this transaction however, while I was there I decided to look into saddle bags; I have a Kawasaki bike and wanted to see if they had anything that would fit my bike. Sales rep said, "YES, THIS SET OF SADDLE BAGS WILL FIT ONTO YOUR BIKE AND ALL YOU NEED IS THE UNIVERSAL BRACKET." So I made the custom order purchase thinking that the bags would look great in my bike. Sales rep then tells me it will be a week max before they get them into the store. Well, a week passes, and I get a call stating that the parts are on back order and that I would need to order a different bracket; so I go along and agree to a different bracket. The second week passes, and I get a call that my parts are in and all I need to do is stop by to have them fitted...I though to myself hmmmm, why would i need them fitted if they already fit my bike?? and this is where it gets interesting. So the day they called me, I drove over to discuss this "fit check." This is now my THIRD stop into the BELLEVUE KAWASAKI dealership and I had the impression that I would be getting my saddle bags installed on my bike. Well, come to find out once I got to the store, the saddle bags DID NOT fit and my bike would need some custom brackets and the turn signals moved to a new location in order for me to use these BRAND NEW FITTED saddle bags. So I ask the sales rep...why is this? why did you sell me something that will not fit my motorcycle? He goes on to state that they are just standard saddle bags and that they are not specifically made for my bike...GREAT!?!?!?! Now I have saddle bags that do not fit my motorcycle and after a long discussion with the mechanic and the sales rep, we came to terms on how I could get the saddle bags installed which of course involved me, THE BUYER, spending even more money for the shop to fabricate brackets and move the turn signals (lets just say it cost more to do this than for the saddle bags alone). And so, we agreed to terms where I would bring the bike in one more time the following week (three weeks after the initial order) in which I would be given a LOANER bike to go back to work and any errands I would be doing for the 4 hours they would have my bike (mainly lunch). Yes, being given a loaner is NOT normal, but since I was having issues with the order and install of the saddle bags, they made an exception....at least I thought they would...Finally, the 4th and LAST TIME I EVER STEP FOOT into Bellevue Kawasaki! So, after coming to agreement on the terms at which I would be leaving my bike with Bellevue Kawasaki, I returned to the store to get my saddle bags installed only to be told that they would not provide me with a loaner bike and that I would have to find other means of transportation because they do not give out loaner bikes for shop work...WHAT A JOKE!!! Instead, they want me to drive all the way out here on a Saturday, so that I can sit, wait, and PAY for them to fix something they sold me as "fitting" on my bike via "a few loose screws." I told them if they cannot hold up their end of the bargain then why hold up mine and to cancel my order in which they replied, "...THIS WAS A CUSTOM ORDERED PART IN WHICH WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS." I then replied, "...well, my credit card will handle the refund and you just lost a customer..." Make the RIGHT CHOICE, go somewhere else!

My battery for my 2003 Honda CBR600RR went dead. I went to Bellevue Kawasaki Yamaha Marine to pick up a new battery because it was the closest bike shop to where I lived. The parts clerk brought out the WPS CTZ10S (manufacturer part # 49-2286) and told me it was $90. I expected that things in local shops would be a bit more expensive but the prices should still be fair so being stupid as I was, I didnt want to deal with the hassle of shopping around and just bought the battery right then. After I went home, I checked online and found that the same battery (same brand, same model and same manufacturer part #) was sold for $62 everywhere else! Some of the stores I found online are even local in Seattle and offer in-store pick-up to avoid shipping charges. I thought I was helping the local economy by paying a bit more for not shopping online but I was just fattening the wallet of Bellevue Kawasaki Yamaha Marine! $28 more on a $62 part, thats almost a 50% markup! So I took the battery back the next day hoping to get a price adjustment or a refund. I couldnt help but notice the smirk on the guys face when he said that all returns on electrical parts require a 20% restocking fee. Well, no one mentioned that to me when I bought the battery. Even after the $18 restocking fee, its still cheaper to buy it elsewhere, so I returned it. I just hated that Bellevue Kawasaki Yamaha Marine got $18 for doing absolutely nothing. Well, they might have got an extra $18, but they have lost my business forever.

I have been with Bellevue Kawasaki for over 4 years now, and continue to keep coming back for their service. Having purchased multiple bikes from them, its evident that they take pride in their work and work to manage and maintain a community feel with their customers. Its easy to say that a bike can be purchased from any locations - however, what it truly comes down to, as with any business, is the customer service. Bellevue Kawasakis customer service is not only sincere but they take the time to talk with you, and work with you through your problems and needs. And thats just on the showroom. Going back into the service shop, Brent is possibly the best mechanic you could have ever have the opportunity to help you. Ive gone in multiple times quite upset that I had an unexpected maintenance issue I needed taken care of, and each time not only is it done in a quick and timely manner - but I leave smiling and happy knowing Ill be taken care of (and he has a good sense of humor.) My experiences with Bellevue Kawasaki is one that I would gladly put my 2 cents in and give not only a high review, but also recommend to all other riders, and especially first time riders looking for their first bike. Having bought my first bike here also, Bellevue Kawasaki will gladly help you out, and without pressuring you like most dealerships, will be ready to help you if and when youre ready for the next step up.
