I hope someone from management is paying attention to these reviews. The staff inside the store is helpful and courteous. The staff in the warehouse is a whole different story. With some exceptions, they are often rude and act like they are doing you a favor by loading the stuff you just paid for. They get annoyed if you point out an error and it happens so often I now ALWAYS double check the order before loading since I live a good distance away. Last week was the final straw for me. They leave the shavings out in the pouring rain which inevitably results in water leaking in through the holes in the bags and getting the inside shavings wet. I hate to shout, but I AM NOT PAYING GOOD MONEY FOR WET SHAVINGS! This has gone on for quite some time, yet they continue to leave them out to get wet. When I noticed one of the loaded bags was wet inside, (after leaving and continuing my errands) I drove all the way back to the store to ask them to exchange it for a dry one. I guess they thought I was talking about the water on the OUTSIDE of the bag because their response was: "theyre ALL like that mam, they live outside." When I pointed out it was wet INSIDE, they wanted to argue with me about it. As they reluctantly loaded another bag on the car, I saw them put the wet bag right back on the stack. Upon arriving home, I realized 2 more of the bags were wet inside. I just dont understand - people dont want wet shavings anymore than they want wet feed. Why have they not done anything to remedy this problem? I am editing this post to note that the shavings are now either in a covered area or at least have plastic over them when stacked outside which I appreciate VERY MUCH! However, I must note that this problem has been occurring for over two years and Ive mentioned it at the store on numerous occasions as well as returning bags of wet shavings when able. In keeping with the response I got to this post, the employees always blamed it on the vendor. While the bags holding the shavings probably started out "waterproof" they inevitably get small holes poked in them during handling and when stacked in the rain, (as they have been once the stack is cut open) the water makes its way into the bags through these holes. Thank you very much for addressing this problem as Ive had to go quite some distance out of my way to buy dry shavings from another business.

Bought a wood splitter at Wilco and within the first year experienced a problem that would required a repair. We took it to a third party shop for warranty repairs. The repair shop immediately insinuated that the problem was caused by user neglect and they advised us that the if there were signs of abuse once inside the motor, we would be responsible for payment. After explaining our situation to Wilcos management, they assured us that they would back us up with our purchase if the third party came back looking for payment from us instead of warranty. Now, that is customer service with honor because Wilco did not have to back us up, actually some companies might have just said it was our problem but not Battleground Wilco! The repair was made and it was found to be a defective part, not user neglect as first insinuated... Warranty covered all costs. Next time, Id look harder for a different warranty repair shop that doesnt assume and I wouldnt think twice about another purchase from Battleground Wilco!

I have never been satisfied or happy with the poultry and chicken people here. While, yes the chicks are in fairly good care, Many of the chicks have pasty butt (which can be very harmful) and some of the pictures to ID what the chicks will grow up into are incorrect. The people helping us out the past FOUR times, the designated chicken people/helpers barely knew the basics on the chicks, I am fairly knowledgeable in poultry and listening to these people tell me wrong information was cringe worthy, I dont know how such a large franchise has Less chicken knowledge then other places like Orchards Feed Store, which to my knowledge is the Only One. I will not be coming back, this place has disappointed me time after time and I would rather wait another eight months for Orchards to get chicks in again then to be told misinformation about the birds I am receiving, I just hope not all WilCos are similar to this.

Went to wilco both on the 3rd so my daughter to get hay for her horses & the 4th to get hay for my horses. They charged her $12 something a bale for "grass hay" & charged me 18 something for "orchard" hay & we get back to the barn on the 4th & it was the same stuff they charged her $12 for. I wonder if these guys even have a hay brokers license. Their prices for hay is so out there & if it wasnt for the fact that I needed hay for my horses today & at that time I would of never picked up hay from them. Over priced hay for the quality when I can get nicer quality hay for 17.50 but its up north. Down here it would sell for 25

Took my mixed terrier in for a bath, trim etc. They shaved her from head to toe, no care was taken with her muzzle or around her eyes. She has one ear that stands up and one that lays down, they trimmed the one that stands up so goofy my kids even noticed it. They left the ear that lays down except for one spot so if both ears are standing up it looks like two different dogs, looking at each side of her face. Wont be taking her back.

I love Wilco and have been a regular customer of theirs for over a decade. The folks there are wonderful and very helpful. They have been able to get me the things I needed when no one else in town could. Plus theyve been there for me on those last minute need it now pinches that come up at the worst of times. Five stars and a big Papa hug to Wilco Farms!

Wilco seems to always have what I need without having to drive to the bigger city. Weve bought everything from fencing supplies, garden plants, baby chicks and even work boots and Carrhart brand clothes. Their staff is always helpful with our questions, polite at our checkout and quick at the loading area for large purchases.

Overpriced, but sometimes good sales. Friendly staff and good garden section. Havent had the best luck with our Spring chicks here...orders often dont come in and two of our four fun last year were not pure breed, we knew of course, after they grew into adults and also by the eggs they started laying.

Over the years have had great and terrible experiences with staff and or products. For most part employees are helpful but not always knowledgeable enough to provide accurate assistance in purchasing, but are great about returns and exchanges.
