I took my 3 dogs there on Friday believing it would be $25 per dog for the night while my husband and I had a short 1 night trip. They informed me that they closed at noon on Saturday so I would have to be back by then or pick them up on Monday and pay for 2 more nights.....OR I could pay a "special pick-up" fee of $40. I agreed to the fee and told them I would be there around 5pm. By the time they added on all the "extra" fees to let your dog out of the cage to exercise and feed your own food the total was $140 ridiculous! But wait...it gets better! Seeing as how I had paid the special pick-up fee why should I rush home, I called Saturday morning to tell them I would be a little later, the person that answered the phone said that would be alright just call when almost there. Well I called at 5:30 to say I was 30 min out. The owner answered and became verbally abusive with me saying that I had ruined his dinner plans and it was his anniversary, repeated how I had ruined his evening and couldnt get my dogs that evening. I felt somewhat threatened so I handed the phone to my husband. They got into a heated argument and finally the owner said we could get our dogs at midnight and repeated several times that we better bring our credit card! So after a long day driving back from the beach we were forced to stay up till midnight if we wanted our dogs. At this point I was worried for their safety so we did pick them up at midnight and paid another $40 "special pick-up" fee. So, for one night, 3 dogs in a cage, exercise in a pen by themselves and feeding them their own food we paid a grand total of $180 AND had to pick them up at midnight!!!! I work in service and would NEVER treat someone like this! I dont know how he stays in business! He must make enough off of unwary newcomers that he doesnt need repeat customers!

This is a tribute to my Heart Dog, "This is my someday Colorado Blue Spruce". Spruce was her short name and she provided me and my family with warm friendship, at times protection and impressive manners and behavior. When she traveled with me all eyes would be on her as we went through security and she responded to my hand signals. May times boarding the crew including the flight deck personnel would salute and "welcome her aboard". Yes she was my Therapy Dog. It all started at Pet Ponderosa one day when I came to pick up my daughter and son in lawss Aussie. Spruce was in the customer area. I had no intention to have a dog at that time. So I picked up USA, yes my daughters family named their Aussie U S A pronounced OHHSA as he was born on 9-11. I forgot to pick up USAs meds when I left and come back to Pet Ponderosa, Spruce come up to me, I bent down to pet her. she wrapped her paws around my next and I want home with two Aussies, and USAs meds and the most wonderful dog I have ever had. After a wonderful life in WA, CA and AK Spruce went to Heaven on 28 February 2016. Cancer took her, but she will always be with me in my heart. With her ashes I flew down to CA and part of her ashes are in the Pacific Ocean where she played and love to swim in Del Mar, CA. The remainder are with me and will be with me always. Submitted reservation form and recvd a call 2 days later which was fine. Spoke w/the woman for awhile on the phone and she wanted to take the deposit over the phone. I told her that I would like to stop by and get a tour if possible and she told me to come in the next day and gave me a time that would work best for her schedule. The next day I went there and no one was there. There were a couple dogs in outside runs which I found alarming since no one seemed to be there and they were unsupervised. I called and only recvd a recording. I left a VM telling them that I was outside waiting to tour the facility and to put down my deposit. Sat in the parking lot for about 10 minutes and left. 3 days later I finally recvd a call and they apologized for not being there and wanted to see if we could arrange another time or pay my deposit over the phone. REALLY?! Horrible customer service and seeing those dogs left unattended outside the day of my visit was enough to tell me that this was not the place for our familys cherished pet.

I contacted Pet Ponderosa via their web form requesting a quote because they advertised hand stripping on their website. I received an email back that had nothing to do with my request. After a couple back & forth emails, I got the info I needed and set up an appointment. We were very clear that we wanted hand-stripping only. This was what was agreed upon. The groomer got tired and used clippers on our Border Terrier. This ruins the coat. They had him for 4 hours and didnt finish the job. They said we could bring him back so they could finish, but the first time was so bad, we arent going back. Our previous groomer (out of state) would finish the job in under 2 hours and charged us less. Based on feedback from our previous groomer and when Ive done it myself, I know that my dog enjoys it; however, Pet Ponderosa said that he didnt. I dont know what they were doing, but I will not bring my dog back to them.

Mick loves going to Pet Ponderosa for Doggie Daycare, and I love knowing that hes happy there. And, they have Doggie Daycare on Saturdays, too, which is great. The owners and everyone who works there are really good people and the dogs are never left unsupervised. They have parties for the dogs for each holiday and birthday and any special occasion. They take the dogs on field trips to swimming lessons or hiking. They post photos during the day, so we can see our fur-babies while theyre playing. The owners truly love dogs and they are active with rescue groups. They willingly give help whenever someone asks. I highly recommend Pet Ponderosa!!

I LOVE Pet Ponderosa but better yet so do my dogs. .they are cared for, pampered, they have heated kennels and also air conditioning in the summer.. Theyve been on swim trips, they offer day hikes, Ive had them groomed there several times, they have something going on for every holiday, they take pictures and share the day with the owners. I couldnt ask for a better place to bring my pups, they have been going to Pet Ponderosa for 3 years now and I have never been more pleased

My wife and I have been taking our Great Dane Gauge in for a while now and have always had a good experience. Great prices and friendly staff. They also update their Facebook pictures while we are out of town and we can see what we paid for (kong/Treats) and how our monster is behaving. He always comes back happy and I feel they treat him very well. Theyve even stayed late when we were stuck in traffic dropping him off! Cant say enough nice things about this place. 5/5
