I honestly thought I was going to get to write a rave review for this dealership...but am glad I waited until we received our documents. Our inital experience was good...Sharri was polite and not pushy; when a couple of things were found to be in need of repair, she got them taken care of that day (we live 2 hours away). However, I would not advise anyone from NC to buy from this dealership. I cant speak for someone from VA. Every time my husband or I have previously purchased vehicles from dealers, all expenses related to tax, title, and registration were paid in the purchase process. My husband even asked Sharri to confirm that he would not be getting a property tax bill immediately after purchasing this truck. She told him that would not happen. This week, we received our Temporary Registration & Temporary license plate. Why? The property taxes were not paid. When we called Orange Auto, they told us that they dont cover that because it is a 6-month bill in NC (its not...its annual, paid at the same time as registration, which cannot be completed without this payment). We have NEVER had this happen with another dealer in NC or VA and it was the reason we wanted to purchase through a dealer, rather than an individual. Needless to say, we are very disappointed. They had appeared to be professional, polite, and concerned about their reputation when we made our purchase, but lied to us while trying to make the sale. If Sharri simply told us directly that they didnt pay property taxes--especially when my husband asked specifically, we could have made a decision about whether we still wanted to make the purchase. The dishonesty is disturbing. I honestly wish we could just return the vehicle and buy from someone else now. Oh, and additionally, the check engine light came on during the 2 hour drive home...we already have another repair to make. New note: we also have found bad rust that had been spray painted to hide it. You have to go all the way under the truck to see the lines of where it was sprayed/where it stops to see it.

I test drove a Jeep Commander and there was something wrong with it when I test drove it so I decided not to get it. After talking with Sherri the owner, we decided that it would get fixed and I would come back and possibly purchase the vehicle. Supposably something was fixed so I came back and gave my down payment and sign on the dotted line. Literally right after I signed the paperwork I hear Sherri getting a phone call and I can hear the phone call from a few feet away as the gentleman on the other line is telling her that the "check engine light" popped back up while he went to go put gas in the car that I just bought. She pretended like it was a phone call from somebody who was washing a car and she said "oh thats thats okay, well just hose it off when you get back to the shop". Now knowing that she was lying to me about the condition of the car I asked her what the problem was with the check engine light coming on and she said that it was probably nothing and that she would take care of it. Fast forward one week later, my wife and two-year-old son are stranded in Norfolk because the vehicle broke down for the second time. We just took it back today and got our down payment back. If I wouldnt have overheard that conversation and said something about the check engine light she probably would have thought that she would get away with it without me saying or doing anything. Bottom line is that if she would lie to me and put my family in a bad position financially or physically just so that she could have a financial gain, that makes her a crook. If youre thinking about buying a used car do not go to this place because theres a good chance that she will lie to you and youll be stuck with a car you dont want.

Sherri is an amazing woman. I was 750 miles from home (Indiana) with no car and no help and no experience in car buying. She worked closely with my dad over the phone to arrange registration and insurance. She registered it in Indiana for me and had an unlimited amount of patience and helpfulness. The car I picked had a few minor bugs from the previous owner and she and her team sent it off to be fixed free of charge to me! Everything was completely stress free. She was professional and personal at the same time. A year and and 2 months later Im writing this review because my key fob that she had given me with the car had broke a year after I bought the car. I went to Beach Ford and they wanted to charge me 360 dollars (no, I am in no way exaggerating) for a key fob and "programming". I went to Orange Auto and Sherri remembered me and my dad. I told her the situation, they reached into a drawer in the lobby, pulled a key fob out and she had one of her guys go out and program it to my car for me all for FREE!! I would recommend Orange Auto to ANYONE looking to buy a car regardless of age, experience, or knowledge. Sherri runs an amazing business.

I truly couldnt have asked for a better experience then what I recieved at Orange Auto. Everyone expects car shopping to be an extended & painful ordeal, but in this case it absolutely wasnt. Within 30 seconds I was pleasantly greeted by Chris, whom directed me to exactly what I needed and was looking for. He was fully honest from the start about what the car needed, which was taken care of literally right away. There was absolutely no pressure to upsell or buy a more expensive care. The team at Orange Auto genuinely cared about me as a customer and what I needed. The entire experience was very relaxed, friendly, and to be honest a bit refreshing. Chris was very thorough in explaining everything to me from beginning to end. He was even very patient with my relentless questioning... Which credit has to be given for. When I drove off the lot with my new car I felt (without question) completely confident that I had gone to the right place and that MY best interests were their priority. Thats a rarity in itself. In my profession I communicate with hundreds of dealerships. When my husbands car was totaled 2 weeks ago (not his fault) the hunt began to find a perfect car that he would be happy with. Orange Auto saved the day! The professionalism and personal attention made us feel so important. When we would call with questions we walked away feeling reassurred. We drove from Maryland and arrived prior to opening. There she was the g37s all clean and shiny awaiting our arrival. Shari had asked her team member to come in early just to have her ready for us. Chris met us when we arrived 45 minutes prior to opening handed us the keys and told us to take her for a test drive. The car was everything my husband wanted. This business transaction was the best car buying experience we have ever had. We feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Shari and Chris. We will continue to refer and praise this amazing dealership and the wonderful people who make it outstanding. Shari and Chris we could not be more pleased with our new car and we feel so blessed to have met both of you.
