This Food Lion needs new management. There used to be or still is a manager here with blondish hair and glasses. He was the worst manager I think Ive ever seen in a store. I asked him about an item and he showed me. Then when I talked to him about the weather, it started raining heavy when I was in the store, he said DONT TALK TO ME ABOUT THE WEATHER. I asked him what? I was going to ask him if they had umbrellas. He said I AM VERY BUSY, DUDE. SORRY. OK. Then he raised his eyebrows and looked at me like I was crazy. Very weird guy and rubbed me the wrong way. First he used the term DUDE when speaking to me. Also looked at me like that..... I heard another person complain about him before saying he was rude and weird. I hope they have replaced him. I dont often come to this Food Lion but because of him it ruined my entire impression of the store.

A very large and clean FoodLion. Plenty of room to move around while youre shopping which is a huge plus. The meat department has a good selection but needs a little work. Ive gone in there at 6 p.m. or later and they still have ground beef from the day before on the shelf and no fresh meat. Also, customer service is hit or miss. Ive had very nice cashiers but Ive also had cashiers that wont say a word to me. Overall, still a good FoodLion that Ill continue to shop at.

The employees are awesome!! But, having to walk around cars parked in the fire lane just to get in the door is NOT cool... are people really that lazy that they cannot walk through the parking lot? Or God forbid someone gets their hair wet! Also NOT cool are those that leave small children and infants outside in a running vehicle while you go shopping! Sad that parenting has stooped to this level.

Staff was pleasant, courteous, store was neat & clean. When asked where a particular item,employees stop that chore, & TAKE me to item being sought. This is one your better operating stores in the Roanoke valley. Thanks for training your employees so well.

Good point is its not to crowded. They used 5 plastic bags and I had given her enough for whole order. Kind of defeated the point of reusable bags. I would have repacked, but was not feeling good.

Employees were polite, & courteous from customer entering the store through checkout. They were also willing to help with item location. Store & parking lot are clean of litter & tefuse.
