I had been in search of a new eye doctor after moving to Richmond. I originally found this practice due to proximity of my work and because they took my eye insurance but I left the appointment knowing I would recommend Dr. Gray to anyone in search of an Optometrist. Dr. Grays staff was welcoming and made me feel comfortable even when I was very nervous about the eye pressure test (I am a wimp). Dr. Gray was extremely professional, knowledgable, and still managed to be friendly and down to earth. He answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed and spent a fair amount of time with me on my first appointment with the practice. Following my excellent examination experience, I was yet again pleasantly surprised by my time spent picking out my new glasses with the optician. He was extremely patient with me as I have a very difficult time making decisions, especially on a pair of frames I would be wearing frequently. He explained thoroughly what my cost would be after my insurance coverage, so there were no financial surprises. My glasses were ready within a week of my appointment, which I thought was a great turn around. When I arrived to pick them up, I was greeted by a different optician who again assisted me in making sure the comfort and fit of my glasses were absolutely perfect. I cannot express my gratitude and excitement over finding an eye doctor/practice that fit my needs, made me feel comfortable, and was overall a very enjoyable experience. Thank you to Dr. Gray and his staff!

I have been coming to Brook Run Vision Center since I was a little girl, now at the age of 21 I am still baffled as to why some of the same front desk and optician staff who seemingly hate their job are still employees. They do not understand the true meaning of customer service or professionalism. Fortunately, over the past two years, I have met four individuals who are anomalies among the staff and have been nothing short of amazing. First, a new young African American woman at the front desk (I did not catch her name), she is very helpful. Second, the contact specialist, Angie, she is the most patient individual I have met there . Third, Michelle, an optician, she helped me understand my financial situation and picked out amazing frames and lenses for me. And fourth, the African American male optician (I did not catch his name), he is all around cheerful and happy to help!

The Ophthalmologists here are great but unfortunately the front desk staff are horrible and rude. It is very difficult to order contacts because there is only one person that can order contacts in the whole office. Her name is Angie and every year it takes her an extreme long time to get back with me when I leave a message for example I called on a Monday and she got back to me on a Thursday and when I do get in touch with her she always have an attitude. I have been with this practice for 5 years and my whole family are patients and this happens frequently.So we will not be coming back.

Referred by health professional; entrance to exit was a pleasant experience. The staff was professional and courteous; having physical challenges Matt provided in house transport (by safely wheeling) me from room to room. Dr.Gray was very personable, caring and great chair side manner. Kelly assisted with the process of me walking out with glasses within an hour. Yes you heard me correct; appointment @ 10:15 am and out by 2:00 pm with glasses. Thank you to all for your teamwork; I can see clearly now.

Dr. Lester Peters is phenomenal. His quiet, gentle approach relaxes you immediately. If you need to get glasses, I highly recommend Meghan to help you pick a style. She does an amazing job and youll be pleasantly surprised with what she will find for you. She is excellent! Our whole family gets their eye care from Brook Run. Highly recommend them!

They dont honor their contracts with your insurance, they add on a $25.00 charge that they are not supposed to when you have your own frames. VSP states they are not allowed to do that. Two days later my frames were still sitting where I left them, untouched at Yure Vision. This place is ghetto.

This was the worst service Ive ever received please do not go there I told them i wanted contacts they told me 120 then after they told me i had to order more and it was 216. They never explained it to me its like they were trying to take my money without explaining anything to me.

I m wearing contacs for my first time. Dr. Daniel Gray was great. I m wearing a new multi vision contac. I cannot even tell they are in my eyes. It is gonna be so great not to wear glasses. I am so amazed. Angie is very patient and is light hearted which makes customers at ease.

The staff wad very nice, got me in quickly, wad very informative and Dr.Gray couldnt have been better. First time here and I will be back. They got a long time patient. Drs scare me and I felt great, and very comfortable. I highly recommend these fine folks!

Make sure you get what you paid for. They led me to believe that the glasses I ordered were Crizal, when they werent. The manager wouldnt even come out to talk with me to settle the matter. Very unprofessional. I ended up returning the glasses.

Its been more than 5 years since my children come to this clinic ... but lately their work is terrible ... every time I need to take my childs lenses I wait for a long time ... Ill call on Monday only to come back Thursday or Friday

Dr. Gray is great and everyone in the practice are great. However, the wait time to order glasses can be extremely long. Not sure if its staffing or a broken process but that is my only complaint.
